"Why haven't we taken off yet?!"

Jiang Feng's shouting ca from the cabin.

"There are more and more guards outside!"

"I know!"

Song Heping replied irritably.

Heaven knows! It's not that he doesn't want to take off quickly!

If he had wings, he'd already be flying!

But this is not an ordinary Mi-17; it's a modified VIP version with many unfamiliar instrunts on the dashboard.

Sweat beaded on his forehead as his fingers moved rapidly across the control panel, recalling the brief two-week flight training in Colombia.

"Song! The guard has retreated; we can't hold them off any longer! The casualties are too high! We're pulling out! Good luck!"

When it rains, it pours.

At a critical mont, bad news ca through the headset.

Hassan inford Song Heping that they were pulling out.

"Damn it! You're just running away?!"

Song Heping thought these guys were too unreliable.

They just leave without any prior warning.

"The French are here! We lost a lot of n! Sorry!"

Hassan fell silent after speaking.

Obviously, he had already started running.

The French are here?

That's like a bomb exploding in the cabin.

Everyone on the channel heard this deadly news.

The French an lawless people.

Song Heping could guess with his toe what orders these lawless people would receive.

If they can't stop him from taking Noel away, the French will definitely kill him and shoot down the plane along with him.

This is beyond doubt.

Eliminating Noel costs the least; they can always support a new puppet.

But if Noel is captured alive and then gives a resignation speech, the situation would be entirely different.

The French would never be content to let their carefully cultivated puppet turn into a dagger pointed at themselves.

"Everyone fasten your seatbelts!"

Song Heping shouted with grit, while reaching to hit the main rotor start switch.

The helicopter shook violently, like an untamable wild horse.

Song Heping felt the resistance building up from the control stick, he gritted his teeth and increased the throttle.

"They're regrouping! Ferrari reported from the window: "At least thirty people are charging at us! There seem to be a few cars at the main entrance; they don't look like guards!"

The helicopter wobbled off the ground but imdiately tilted to one side, narrowly grazing the hangar's edge.

Song Heping frantically pulled back the control stick, causing the helicopter to sway to the other side.

"Oh my God!"

Noel clenched his eyes shut, his lips trembling in a continuous prayer.

Ferrari cautiously asked beside him, "Can I help in any way?"

"No need..."

Song Heping's shirt was drenched in sweat as he focused intently on the altiter, ticulously adjusting the control stick and pedals.

It's not that he doesn't need help; he simply doesn't know what to ask Ferrari to do right now.

Or rather, Ferrari feels more like a mascot now.

Sitting next to him at least provides so motivational support.

It's better for soone who hasn't learned to fly a helicopter not to help than to help...

Finally, after much struggle, the helicopter swayed unpredictably like a drunken man but managed to climb steadily.

"They're firing at us!"

Collins suddenly shouted.

Song Heping saw from the side window several mbers of the Lawless Corps already aiming their guns towards them.

Fortunately, the Mi-17's body has so protective capability, and this helicopter is a customized version, treated with bulletproofing; ordinary FAMAS assault rifles can't penetrate its body.

He sensed the danger as sweat poured down.

No one knew what weapon they might use next to attack him.

If it's a large-caliber machine gun or missile, then they're done for.

No ti to think, Song Heping instinctively pushed the control stick vigorously while stomping the pedals.

The helicopter began a rapid ascent.

The soldiers on the ground realized that the body's bulletproof performance was unexpected.

A lieutenant shouted, "Get an anti-tank missile here, they're getting away!!"

"Lieutenant, we didn't bring that thing!"

His subordinate quickly replied.

"Damn it! Don't you have it on your vehicles?!"

The lieutenant looked around, then at the sky.

The helicopter was about fifty ters aboveground, shaking as it attempted to turn and adjust its direction.

Song Heping was still a novice.

If it were a veteran, he'd have flown away by now.

He's delaying, trying to control the helicopter using little knowledge from training, following the safest yet slowest maneuvering processes...

"There's not enough ti!"

The lieutenant, thinking quickly, rushed over and grabbed an RPG launcher from a Sena Governnt Army soldier, aid at the helicopter, and began targeting...

As long as it hits accurately, an RPG can take down a helicopter!

"Damn!"

On the plane, Jiang Feng shouted again.

"RPG!"

Song Heping hurriedly focused, paying no attention to what was happening on the ground.

Shooting rockets at helicopters has many successful precedents on Africa's miraculous soil.

Whoosh—

From the ground, an RPG launcher erupted, dragging a fiery tail toward the Mi-17 helicopter in the sky.

Song Heping yanked the control stick, stomping on the directional pedals fiercely.

At this mont, he could care less about flying paraters.

Avoiding a fatal blow was more important than anything!

The helicopter emitted a heartbreaking roar as the rotor's speed was pushed to the maximum, causing the body to sharply tilt, dodging at an almost impossible angle as the rocket whizzed past the rotor, exploding in mid-air not far away.

The shockwave caused the helicopter to rock violently, blaring warning sirens.

"This gauge is alarming! What's wrong?!"

Ferrari stared at the dashboard, shouting at Song Heping.

He couldn't understand those damn Russian instrunts.

"The engine is overheating; I pushed the throttle too hard..."

Song Heping quickly adjusted the power distribution, throttling back the engines.

The helicopter shook violently again but managed to stabilize.

"Boss! We gotta leave ASAP!" Jiang Feng said anxiously.

Song Heping nodded and pushed the control stick to let the helicopter tilt forward, carefully increasing the altitude.

The city rapidly shrank beneath them, the President's Mansion looking like a toy model.

Suddenly, several warning lights on the dashboard lit up simultaneously.

"Hydraulic system failure!" Ferrari read the numbers on the gauges and exclaid again.

Up at over 500 ters, the helicopter imdiately lost balance, beginning to spin and plumt.

Song Heping's heart was about to leap out of his chest. He stomped the rudder pedals frantically while pulling the collective lever with all his might.

"Altitude 500 ters... 400 ters... 300 ters..."

Ferrari nervously reported the altitude.

"What kind of helicopter did you buy?!"

Inside the cabin, Jiang Feng grabbed Noel's collar and slamd him against the seatback, venting his emotion.

The ground rapidly approached.

Song Heping's muscles trembled from exertion; sweat blurred his vision.

At this critical mont, he violently pushed the throttle to the maximum while pulling up the nose.

The helicopter's descent slowed, but it continued to drop.

200 ters... 150 ters... 100 ters...

"We're gonna crash!" Ferrari scread, clutching his head.

Just under 50 ters from the ground, the sense of falling suddenly stopped.

Everyone was stunned.

Then Ferrari burst into laughter: "It's stable! We're not dropping anymore!"

Song Heping exhaled deeply and glanced at the instrunt readings. The rotor had regained enough lift, and the helicopter, like an injured bird, was wobbling upwards.

"We're... we're not dead?"

Sitting in the cabin, Jiang Feng couldn't believe it, reaching to wipe his forehead full of sweat...

Song Heping didn't answer, his full attention on controlling the wounded helicopter.

After the ordeal, he seed to have gained more understanding of the aircraft.

Adjusting the course carefully, he steered the Mi-17 towards the designated evacuation point.

After flying a distance, Noel suddenly spoke.

He scread hoarsely in terror at Song Heping in the cockpit, "What exactly do you want?!"

Song Heping turned to look inside the cabin briefly then turned back to continue flying the plane, raised a hand doing a money gesture—

"money!"
