Chapter 1655: Chapter 1634: A Reasonable Explanation
It’s not about fearing a dark history, but about having none. Regardless of the face Gao Yang plans to show publicly, this saying is fitting.
Sadly, guided by Morgan and having deliberated long with Satan’s crew, just as Gao Yang was certain of how to build a complete resu and began creating a history for himself, an unexpected event struck.
Plans and pace were disrupted, leaving Gao Yang sowhat panicked; he now truly feared soone digging deep into his background.
Gao Yang’s first call was to Morgan, but before he could speak, Morgan lowered his voice and said, “No need to explain, I’m watching TV. I know what happened over there.”
Gao Yang said in distress, “This is a ss, a real ss. What should I do? Which identity should I report? Although none of them could stand a thorough investigation.”
Morgan calmly and confidently said, “Report your company owner’s identity.”
Gao Yang murmured, “But that would ruin everything.”
“Your identity is fine; it’s been fine for a long ti. Rember your false identity and don’t slip up. As a hero, they won’t treat you like a suspect, so your situation isn’t so bad.”
Gao Yang exclaid in surprise, “You sorted out my identity issues? I an, completely?”
Morgan chuckled softly and replied, “From the day I decided to consider you as my successor, I started working on this. Don’t worry; there won’t be any issues. Also, your fa this ti isn’t entirely bad—it could be beneficial. But rember, never let anyone see your face!”
How to avoid being seen when enemies are nurous and future actions will be utterly covert? If soone sees the face, how to blend in? That’s precisely soone like Gao Yang.
Gao Yang whispered, “Understood, don’t let anyone see my face.”
Morgan whispered, “I’ll head to New York imdiately. Try not to say much tonight, but you should be familiar with your most used identity, just stick to that. We’ll decide after discussing. Wait for , and by the way, what’s wrong with your voice?”
“Shouted once,” he replied.
“Just one shout led to this? Then your shout must have been loud. Alright, wait for . We’ll talk when we et.”
Hanging up the phone, the previously anxious Gao Yang was relieved.
Morgan assuring no problems ant surely no problems. Gao Yang’s largest concern was his identity, but now, Morgan had silently resolved it.
Morgan’s clear demonstration of capability shows he’s determined to accomplish tasks and can successfully do so.
Patting the still-crying Yelena, Gao Yang whispered, “Don’t cry anymore. No need to worry, Morgan’s taken care of it.”
Yelena breathed a long sigh of relief, whispering, “That’s good, that’s good.”
Gao Yang whispered, “Help put away the satellite phone. Don’t let anyone have it. The police won’t force us, my phone is broken, but don’t let anyone see it. You must be careful to keep it safe. If you can leave later, go ahead. It looks like I’ll need so ti here.”
Yelena whispered, “I know what to do. You shouldn’t speak anymore; your vocal cords are damaged. Don’t risk further injury, or your voice might stay hoarse permanently.”
Gao Yang nodded and fell silent. Sitting together, they waited but not for long before soone knocked gently and then pushed the door ajar. After a glance at Gao Yang, the officer who had left earlier stepped in, looking apologetic, “Sorry, the FBI agents need to ask you a few questions; it’ll be quick.”
Several people wearing FBI uniforms entered, led by a middle-aged man who had already extended his hand. After shaking hands with Gao Yang, he loudly said, “My na is Henry, FBI agent. Please tell your na, sir.”
Gao Yang gave his false na, and the agent admiringly said, “Mr. Gao, you are indeed a hero, like a movie superhero coming to life in reality. I’ve watched the footage; your gunmanship is incredible. Could you tell how you trained?”
Gao Yang swallowed hard and spoke raspily, “IPSC, and so three-gun shooting.”
The agent snapped his fingers, smiling, “I guessed it.”
At this mont, the officer gestured at his throat and quietly said, “Mr. Gao’s throat, he can’t speak much.”
Agent Henry imdiately looked remorseful, saying, “Sorry, I already know, you shouted, likely damaging your vocal cords. But I can’t help but ask further. Personally, I’m deeply curious about you, truly sorry. How about this, Mr. Gao, can you write your answers?”
Gao Yang considered, knowing he’d inevitably leave a trace, and using writing to respond wasn’t unacceptable, so he nodded.
At this point, another person entered from outside, a middle-aged officer who, upon entering, imdiately said loudly, “Sorry to interrupt your work, but I couldn’t wait to see our hero.”
Approaching Gao Yang, the officer extended his hands seriously, saying, “Sir, thank you. Only five people were injured, with just one seriously, but not life-threatening. Without you, four damn terrorists would’ve fired towards the crowd. I dare say many would’ve died tonight. Thank God, and thankfully, you’re here!”
Gao Yang nodded, whispering, “Thanks for the praise.”
“How is your gunmanship so remarkable? It’s like a, like a miracle, truly amazing!”
Henry quickly stated, “Mr. Gao is a senior mber of IPSC, absolutely top-notch.”
Everyone nodded continuously, and just then, another person entered from the doorway, speaking forcefully, “Gentlen, I’ll take over here. This matter involves many aspects; I understand your emotions, but photos can only be taken after I’ve finished official business.”
Accompanying commanding words, soone stood before Gao Yang and casually picked up a notebook. Then Agent Henry said, “Sir!”
“Alright, you guys leave first.”
Looking at the calm, followed by several subordinates, the FBI official surprised Gao Yang greatly. Extrely surprised because he knew the person the FBI sent to take over, and was quite familiar. He was Murphy, Number Thirteen’s friend, the cleaner Murphy.
