Chapter 1727: Chapter 1706: Go
Yarebin placed the cane on the sofa, holding the confession in both hands, and fell into thought.
Gao Yang dared not disturb him, sitting quietly beside Yarebin without moving, not making a sound.
After a while, Gao Yang realized sothing was wrong because Yarebin began to snore softly.
Gao Yang’s eye twitched, and he helplessly lowered his head with a bitter smile.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long, just a few minutes, before Yarebin jerked awake after his head dipped. He coughed lightly twice, picked up the confession again, glanced at it, and softly said, “If I rember correctly, Bernesta Street is quite close to here.”
Gao Yang raised his head and softly said, “Ah, Bernesta Street? I don’t know where it is.”
Yarebin smacked his lips, shook his head slightly, and then softly said, “So, where was Gelyanov killed? Where’s his ho? You should know that, right?”
Gao Yang genuinely didn’t know, so he imdiately said, “I’ll ask right away.”
After making a call, Gao Yang softly said, “His ho is in the Dnieper District, near the Cross-river Bridge.”
Yarebin nodded and said, “The Dnieper District, that’s the East River District. Generally, random assassination missions follow the principle of proximity to select personnel, so the squad assigned to eliminate Gelyanov should be the one from the east bank ntioned in the confession, a total of sixteen people. Um, following swift revenge principles, we should handle this batch of enemies first. However, we’re at the far south of the west bank, closer to Bernesta Street. I think it’s better to deal with this nearby batch of enemies, also sixteen people.”
Gao Yang reached out and said, “You decide, whatever you say goes.”
Yarebin nodded slightly, speaking softly, “Alright, arrange these bodies, put Collins and his family together, and write with blood the fate of traitors. Put Djo’s n together and write with blood that ‘those who oppose die.'”
After speaking, Yarebin smiled and said, “You’re the boss, but you won’t let an old man like do these things, right?”
Gao Yang stood up, chuckling lightly, “I’ll go, of course, I’ll go.”
The bodies didn’t really need much arranging, only Collins needed to be positioned correctly. Just as Gao Yang was moving Collins, he was shocked to find Collins was still slightly twitching; he wasn’t dead yet.
Gao Yang was startled, and Yarebin leisurely said, “Cut his trachea, but don’t sever it completely. Let him get a bit of oxygen while struggling to breathe, though he’ll eventually die, just more painfully.”
Despite being used to seeing bodies, writing on the ground with brain matter covering it made Gao Yang sick. Seeing Collins twitch slightly now and then, Gao Yang thought killing with such precision; these Black Demons were more like hitn than Number Thirteen.
After arranging the bodies, Gao Yang resisted disgust and wrote on the ground with the blood and cloth, Yarebin suddenly said, “Wait, stop, your writing is really ugly.”
Gao Yang stopped and embarrassingly said, “Writing isn’t my forte, and Russian is even worse for .”
Yarebin said loudly, “You should practice your writing, really.”
After writing with appallingly ugly strokes on the ground, Gao Yang went to the bathroom to wash his hands thoroughly. When he returned, he found Yarebin had fallen asleep on the sofa, or rather, he was dozing.
Gao Yang was actually worried soone would return at any mont, but seeing Yarebin so confident, he didn’t ntion it. However, when Yarebin fell asleep, Gao Yang thought about it, then drew his gun but didn’t go outside. He felt it was better to stay put.
Gao Yang occasionally looked at his watch. After four hours—the sa amount of ti Yarebin had ordered the five people to rest—the five people silently erged from several bedrooms.
Ti for dozing, waking up again, and dozing intermittently; Yarebin tily opened his eyes, looked at the five standing in front of him, and said loudly, “Awake?”
The five Black Demons shouted together, “Very much awake, Captain.”
Yarebin took the cane, and after struggling slightly to stand up, he said loudly, “Head to Bernesta Street, clear the nearby mouse’s nest first. Tarta, Lebyazhef, Rostotsky, you head out first, the boss and I will follow shortly. Set out.”
The five dispersed at the signal, Yarebin smiled at Gao Yang and said, “Let’s go, though we can take it slow.”
Gao Yang shouted, “Alright.”
Upon exiting with Yarebin, Gao Yang first ran over to Collins, reached down to feel Collins’s carotid artery, confirming that Collins was indeed dead after prolonged suffering, even though he had thought Collins should be dead after four hours. But Gao Yang wasn’t at ease without confirming.
If Collins were miraculously saved, it’d be ridiculous, and Gao Yang was determined to avoid such a scenario, so he didn’t mind the hassle to ensure Collins was truly dead.
Seeing Gao Yang’s actions, Yarebin stopped, curiously asked, “What are you doing? Do you believe after cutting his trachea, he could survive four hours?”
Gao Yang stood up, embarrassed, and said, “I might be overly cautious, but I always think if you kill soone, it’s best to ensure they’re really dead.”
Yarebin gave a thumbs-up, laughing, “Good habit, regardless of your confidence, it’s always best to confirm. This world often has miracles, and we don’t want miracles happening to our enemies; keep up your good habit.”
Back in the car, Gao Yang softly asked, “Are we going now?”
Yarebin looked at his watch and softly said, “Yes, but take it slow; give them an hour for reconnaissance. I think an hour should be enough, so let’s go slowly.”
Driving slowly, Gao Yang continued while Yarebin watched the scenery outside. Suddenly, Yarebin, with a sense of lantation, said, “I’ve been here before; the changes are substantial. Unfortunately, it’s not in a good direction. It’s more advanced but more dilapidated than before.”
Gao Yang didn’t respond to Yarebin; he just continued driving slowly while Yarebin occasionally ntioned he’d been here before.
When Gao Yang reached the destination, he quickly saw a Black Demon standing by the roadside, looking lonely and ordinary as an old man. But when he parked next to the Black Demon’s side and lowered the window for Yarebin’s side, the old man leaned at the window and softly said, “The preliminary reconnaissance is done; about ten people inside, several others have left. Shall we act now?”
Yarebin briefly considered then imdiately nodded, “Yes, act now, try not to make noise. We need to wait for the others to return, go.”
