Capítulo 1810: Chapter 1789: War of rcenaries
Ukraine and Yen are different, and to Gao Yang, everywhere is different.
Gao Yang ca to Ukraine only to make a big score and leave. He couldn’t start his own company without money, so he brought Satan to Ukraine just to strike it rich, nothing more.
However, coming to Ukraine was easy, leaving was difficult, because Gao Yang was drawn into the war between Grand Ivan and Djo. Then he was forced to beco increasingly involved in the war that had nothing to do with him, until he beca a leader of one side, gaining more and more power and money, yet also facing bigger and bigger crises.
The battle with Butter Knife nearly wiped out Satan completely. If it weren’t for Gao Yang taking Grand Ivan’s place, a re rcenary group wouldn’t have had the qualifications to cross paths with Butter Knife.
The crisis was significant, but the rewards were astonishing. Now, the main goal Gao Yang had in coming to Ukraine has been achieved—he definitely has enough money to start a large company now.
In Ukraine, Gao Yang found Morgan’s shotgun, supported a rapidly growing gang, channeled a lot of arms into the Skull Gang, acquired five more transport aircraft, and a large pile of expensive munitions. All of this originally belonged to Grand Ivan, but now it went into Gao Yang’s pocket for free, and Grand Ivan wouldn’t say anything because it was his deserved reward.
Andre borrowed two billion for the war, which now fell onto Gao Yang, but paying back the loan was no longer a problem, as Gao Yang could earn more from the contract with the Cleaners. Not only was repaying not an issue, but he could also profit, even if the business ultimately had to be handed over to Grand Ivan because collecting outdated weapons everywhere wasn’t Gao Yang’s forte. Nevertheless, the prepaynt received in advance wouldn’t be given to Grand Ivan, so there was still profit for Gao Yang.
Additionally, Gao Yang could also acquire a bunch of unexpected resources in Ukraine, such as the foundation of the Antonov Design Bureau and the assets of the Black Sea Shipyard.
Most importantly, Gao Yang obtained Black Demon in Ukraine. All other gains have a price, but Black Demon is priceless.
In conclusion, Satan really gained abundantly in Ukraine. They accomplished everything a rcenary group could do, and even what a rcenary group couldn’t do, Satan accomplished.
Yet, no matter what, Ukraine is not a destination for Gao Yang; he is just a passerby, grabbing and then leaving. Now that he’s grabbed enough, he’s just waiting for Grand Ivan to return, so he can unload the heavy burden off his shoulders and withdraw quickly.
Compared to Yen, Ukraine is much more dangerous, so Gao Yang is eager to leave Ukraine early to start his grand plan in Yen.
Gao Yang doesn’t like giving up halfway on things he’s set his mind to, but the reason he insists on Yen isn’t because of this. How to put it… He is determined to make Yen the main battlefield for Satan’s future, perhaps because it’s the dream of everyone in Satan.
To establish a giant group, to beco the strongest rcenary corps, to build a private military empire, to reach the pinnacle a rcenary could achieve—a pinnacle that no one else could touch.
When Gao Yang first entered the rcenary business, he never imagined he would soday compete for the title of the world’s number one rcenary corps. But people grow, and their ambitions grow with them. Once Satan was indisputably the number one in every aspect, of course, they wanted to go further.
Dreams, spoken from the mouths of failures, invite ridicule from diocrities around them. Spoken from the mouths of successful people, they beco the butt-kissing material for so diocrities.
For Gao Yang and all his brothers, dreams are a goal they’ve always worked towards, never spoken of. If there’s a dream, work hard to realize it—there’s nothing else to say. For everyone in Satan rcenary Corps, the aning of dreams lies in that.
Yen is a poor, broken, and chaotic place. Satan can’t make money there, they would even have to invest. But if the plan succeeds, they would regain a profited manifold. If it fails, they would not only lose money but also their lives, but none of this matters. Yen can’t be considered the place where Satan’s dream began, but it can be the place where dreams co true.
Why must dreams be realized in Yen? The reason is simple: the world doesn’t need a new super company anymore. The British Armored Group, Arican Deyang International, the already split South African EO, and Israel’s IZO—it’s truly hard to survive and grow amidst these big companies. Three-leaf Jungle is doing well, but it’s almost impossible for them to grow to the level of these super PMC companies. Blackwater Group has also tried, but they’ve already failed.
PMCs are born for war, and war is the only opportunity for a PMC company to rise. To rise to beco a hegemonic PMC company, one needs to monopolize a war, especially one where there are substantial profits to gain.
But now, there is no war that Satan can monopolize, especially not large-scale wars. If Solar System Company wants to get business, they can only sip from markets like Iraq and Libya that have already been divided by big companies. Eating at—especially the fat at—is absolutely impossible.
No war? Then create a war. Before any other companies realize a war is about to break out, Gao Yang needs to control its source. Creating a war out of thin air is too difficult, but pushing a war that is bound to happen and gaining the upper hand in it is enough.
Controlling the war in Yen ans dragging Saudi Arabia into the water, and Saudi Arabia is undoubtedly the best financier in the world—or more accurately, the best big spender. Of course, the war in Yen will definitely attract the involvent of those big companies, so whether it’s ultimately monopolized or if they make a wedding dress for other companies depends on Gao Yang’s ability.
Now, Gao Yang believes he has enough capital. He has the best rcenary corps in the world, which can serve as the sharpest blade in Yen; he has the Black Demon as the best behind-the-scenes manipulator; he has Solar System Company ready to negotiate with Saudi Arabia and take responsibility for quickly quelling Yen’s war; and he has Grand Ivan providing endless arms.
Of course, what he currently owns isn’t enough to ensure Satan monopolizes Yen’s war, so the final result still depends on Satan’s ability. It’s about whether he can make any competitors entering Yen die one by one, in groups or individually.
Other companies co to die; Solar System Company arrives invincible—that’s enough. As long as Gao Yang can control Yen’s war, then this war is just a ga of left hand fighting right hand for him. Why wouldn’t Saudi hand over all the contracts to his Solar System Company?
If Saudi really doesn’t want to hand over the contracts to Solar System Company, then what Gao Yang needs to do is continue to hit Saudi where it hurts.
Gao Yang originally didn’t have such big ambitions, or rather, he had no ambitions at all. However, now his ambitions have grown. At a certain level, ambitions naturally sprout forth, as if they had always existed.
However, Gao Yang prefers to call ambition a dream.
Nate Schumacher’s dream is to lead the Angel rcenary Corps to control a country. At first, Gao Yang thought Nate’s dream was absurd, incredible, but now, his dream is even bigger and more absurd.
Simply put, Gao Yang, without realizing it, has developed a bigger ambition than Nate.
Gao Yang doesn’t want to control a small country or establish the strongest rcenary corps, whether it’s ultra-small or small-dium, whatever. Now he wants a military empire that has no territory but possesses the strongest private military force in the world, with no fixed base but presence all across the globe.
Having mixed in the underworld for a long ti, Gao Yang doesn’t want to beco a household na—that’s too stupid. A rcenary known by everyone must be a failure, just like the head of Blackwater, who beca an executioner in the eyes of countless people—that’s a failure.
Gao Yang wants a throne hidden in the darkness.
Most ordinary people in this world will never hear his na, but he can affect the life and death of many people in this world. This is just a side effect of success in achieving his target goal, not actually what he wants most.
Gao Yang wants a web spanning across the world, with inseverable connections with multiple countries. Appearing dispersed, it ultimately converges on him, condensing into Satan’s web. No one knows this web exists as his handiwork, and when known, no one dares to touch him. This is his pursuit.
Gao Yang knows if he truly ascends the throne hidden in darkness, he will beco a thorn in the eyes of many and be a target many countries want to destroy. But what does it matter? People must die eventually. In life, if one can experience an amazing life****, dying isn’t unfair, right?
Everything must be weighed against its worth. Life actually has a price, the key is whether the things you risk your life for are worth enough. Gao Yang never thought like this before, but now he does—there’s no choice, it’s a side effect of ambition once it sprouts.
But all of this is still just a dream for now. To achieve it, Gao Yang must first realize his goal in Yen.
Of course, even success in Yen is just the first step of the plan, and even that first step is difficult.
Even with ambitions, Gao Yang would never sacrifice others to achieve his ambition. Others can be left aside; he isn’t that altruistic, but his friends are different. He absolutely wouldn’t use them up then silence them, aning the few dozen people in Satan must personally fight.
Yet, having vast wealth but still needing to personally go into battle, what’s wrong with that? Gao Yang feels that if they could bring out the Skull Gang soldiers when just a few people, turning them into a force that could be called a strong team in Somalia and even Africa, there’s no reason they’ll fail in Yen.
Now, the resources Satan has aren’t what the original Satan had. Gao Yang is confident they can lead an ultra-small rcenary group to win a big war, a war fought not for a commission but to realize a dream, a war thoroughly belonging to rcenaries.
Yes, this is a war of rcenaries.
