Chapter 1934: Chapter 1911: United Against a Common Enemy
Urban combat is difficult with heavy casualties; everyone knows this. However, just providing firepower support without risking an attack from house to house makes a big difference.
The tank artillery continued to bombard the buildings, and Gao Yang and his team comnced fire suppression from a distance of 100 ters.

Gao Yang’s eyes widened as he saw the six people who had entered through the courtyard gap quickly run out, two of them being dragged along, with their condition unknown.
“The enemy detonated explosives in a suicide attack!”

However, the company commander wailed, “Brother! Brother!”
Held back by soone around his waist, the company commander who had given the attack order couldn’t move; his brother was the platoon leader, leading the assault team, and was the first to charge through the blown-out wall.
Gao Yang’s eyes turned red, and he roared, “F**k!”
The enemy’s will to resist was very strong; knowing they couldn’t escape, they opted for a suicidal explosion. In reality, the explosive inside the building wasn’t very powerful, but it was enough to drag those who entered down into hell with them.

After roaring, Gao Yang shouted, “Tank! Tank! Attack the next target, blast it apart, blast those bastards to death for !”
The enemy was too brave, but at this point, nobody admired the enemy’s bravery because it caused their own to die.
Chekriayev ran in front of Gao Yang and loudly said, “No! We can’t do this! Our tank shells are precious; this wastes too much ammunition! To blow down a house, it’ll take countless shells. There are a dozen enemy strongholds here; once all the shells are used up, what about the remaining strongholds?”
Gao Yang took a breath, reminded himself to stay calm, and then loudly said, “Tank, open fire! Still poke holes, second company prepares to breach!”
Finishing his words, Gao Yang wiped his forehead vigorously, then urgently said into the radio, “Rebrov, can our artillery precisely direct attacks on areas in front of us?”
Rebrov imdiately replied, “We can, but not too precisely. Give so ti, I’ll direct the artillery position targets.”
Using artillery from ten kiloters away to hit a building accurately is extrely challenging. It’s not just about coordinate calculations or observer guidance; it’s also due to the natural dispersion of the artillery, which is ineffective for such precise work. It would require multiple artillery pieces firing together, but even then, substantial shell waste would occur, and the enemy could easily take cover in basents. Even if artillery hits the house, it can’t ensure destruction.
But now Gao Yang couldn’t worry about all that; although shells were precious and crucial for governnt forces’ continued attacks, he couldn’t bear the soldier casualties even more.
After waiting five minutes and having the tanks fire several shots at the houses within range, Rebrov finally shouted over the radio, “Report! Commander, pull our n back a bit to avoid accidental shell injuries.”
Gao Yang urgently asked, “How many ters is the safe distance?”
“Three hundred ters! Three hundred ters is absolutely safe, even within one hundred ters, I can guarantee no accidental injuries!”
“Okay! One hundred ters!”
After saying this, Gao Yang shouted, “Order, have all brothers close to the enemy fall back! We’re initiating artillery bombardnt!”
Two company commanders gave the order, and all soldiers near the enemy retreated. Even before all of them withdrew, Gao Yang urgently shouted again, “Do we have fake dicine (explosives)? Can we find fake dicine?”
“Yes! We have so prepared for breaching in advance!”
“How much? Enough to take down all of the enemy’s strongholds?”

At this mont, a very intense blast occurred, and Gao Yang instinctively shied away, hearing Rebrov urgently on the radio, “Everyone take cover, full-rate shooting!”

Shouting, he dashed into the nearest house, still having the mind to glance at the interior setup. The furniture and appliances were intact but very disorderly, indicating the owner rushed when fleeing their ho.
Soon, explosions began to ring out densely.
The explosions lasted only five minutes and then ceased. For the firepower preparation density of an urban battle, it was sowhat too low, but Gao Yang’s artillery couldn’t waste more shells here unless new ones arrived. Unfortunately, the militia’s logistics couldn’t support that currently.

Another booming explosion sounded, occurring in an adjacent neighborhood, several rows of houses away from Gao Yang, yet he still angrily shouted, “Rebrov! Your shells missed!”
