Krulney seed very downcast because his life was held in soone else’s hands, and he couldn’t do anything. Now, he could do nothing but reveal everything.

"I said Little Donnie worked for , helping handle so specific matters. In the assassination of Suharitan, he helped manage things in Europe. He’s just an insignificant figure."

Glewatov wrote down what Krulney said on paper, then said lightly, "An insignificant figure won’t make the CIA send three agents to investigate, even pulling people from the Middle East Bureau."

Krulney spread his hands, sighed, and said, "I said he has evidence that Sarif masterminded the assassination attempt on Suharitan."

Glewatov smiled and said softly, "Is that all?"

"That’s all. I can’t let Little Donnie get too much attention, but he also needs to have enough allure, so all I can say is this. No matter if it’s Sarif or Suharitan running the Shah Intelligence Agency, it doesn’t matter to the CIA. But the CIA would certainly want evidence against Sarif, so they can threaten or give Sarif a favor."

Glewatov nodded and said, "Anything else to add?"

"About Little Donnie? No more."

Glewatov said sternly, "Then let’s talk about IS. I’m very interested in that."

Krulney troubledly scratched his head and said, "CIA supports IS, but IS got out of control. When I was in contact with IS, it was just a small, unnoticed ard faction. Now, I don’t know IS’s situation because I lost contact long ago."

Glewatov suddenly asked, "Why did you beco a rcenary broker? With your abilities, you could excel in any industry. Why did you choose this line of work?"

Krulney spread his hands, troubledly said, "I was born into a poor family, couldn’t afford good schools. My father was shot dead when I was very young, and my mother disappeared afterward, so you can see I had no decent education. I have no formal qualifications, so I couldn’t find a decent job."

Krulney spoke mostly useless nonsense, but Glewatov listened very intently.

"Unable to receive good education, that’s indeed frustrating. How did you beco a rcenary broker then?"

Krulney sighed deeply and said, "My hotown is in North Carolina, but I thought why not go to a big city? So I went to New York. I never went down the path of cri. I took odd jobs, worked as a waiter in fast-food places, delivered pizzas, parked cars at hotels, then I t my current wife. I was twenty-three or twenty-four back then. She was a college student from a middle-class family, and she was still in school. She taught how to audit classes in universities, so I attended courses and learned a lot of things."

"What did you study at that university?"

Krulney shrugged and smiled bitterly, "Uh, you have to understand that what I learnt depended on which classroom I could sneak into. At Columbia University, I disguised as a student, and I got along well with those students, attending whatever classes I could, mainly in risk managent and law, because I always thought being a lawyer or finding a decent job on Wall Street would be the pinnacle of life."

Glewatov smiled, "Nice idea. And then?"

Krulney said bitterly, "Then I discovered I couldn’t understand what the professors said, so I had to self-study from the basics to gradually grasp what they were teaching. I couldn’t afford books, but as I ntioned before, I got along well with the students."

Glewatov nodded, "It was difficult, but you did it well."

Krulney exhaled and laughed, "I couldn’t afford tuition, and I had no degree. I stayed at Columbia University for seven years, attended all law courses with those graduate students, and felt I could be a lawyer. But I couldn’t get the lawyer’s license because I didn’t have a law degree. So I aid for Wall Street, since I did well in business school too."

Krulney regretfully opened his hands and smiled bitterly, "I entered Wall Street and beca a trainee financial advisor. I did well, even without any diploma, becoming a financial planner. As soon as I beca a formal financial planner, I had an eighty thousand US dollar annual salary, which was quite high back then."

"What happened then?"

"Then I felt the money was a bit slow. Among my clients was a guy who seed very rich but knew nothing about finance. I scamd him out of four hundred and twenty thousand dollars, telling him the stocks he invested in crashed, but the truth was I cheated him out of forty-two thousand dollars. I did it flawlessly, leaving no trace, yet I didn’t know that guy was a rcenary who didn’t need any evidence. He thought I lost his money and demanded I return it or face death."

"Hahaha, correct move. What happened next?"

"I paid him back, but he still wanted to kill . However, he didn’t want to cause any fatalities in New York, so he called his broker asking how to deal with without drawing attention. His broker was Tomler, who had just started his business. He saw and after talking, offered a job for a three hundred thousand annual salary. I couldn’t refuse because I didn’t want to die."

After finishing, Krulney moved his fingers, feeling emotional, "Then I really liked this job, because of the power and the money I earned. But I actually wanted to be a big lawyer or a famous investor more because I longed to receive people’s cheers, sharing how I transford from a nobody to a tycoon. But as a rcenary broker, you definitely can’t tell others your true profession."

Glewatov laughed, "You don’t like living in darkness."

"It’s certainly not sothing I’d like. Who doesn’t prefer living under sunlight? But I’ve already grown accustod to my current identity. Also, the feeling of controlling others’ lives can be addictive. If I had to choose again, I wouldn’t know how to choose."

Glewatov noted sothing in his book, filling in the personality section about Krulney that he could be transford, then smiled and said, "Your heart’s journey discussion ends here. I hope you haven’t lied to because we will soon find out whether you’ve been truthful."

After saying this, Glewatov stood up, opened the steel door, and calmly said to the people outside, "Let’s officially begin."
