Sending Liang Dong to Somalia is Little Donnie’s job, and what else would a rcenary broker be doing? Although the main role of a rcenary broker is to find gigs and bring in business, Satan isn’t taking any assignnts now, so Little Donnie has beco a full-ti caretaker.
To be fair, a broker usually doesn’t just work with one rcenary group. They introduce rcenary groups to employers and match suitable jobs with the right rcenary group—that’s the norm for brokers.
Little Donnie ended up being Satan’s exclusive broker because of Satan’s status and power. Another reason is that Little Donnie and Satan have an unusual relationship, which obviously sets them apart from your typical rcenary and broker.
Liang Dong needs to first acclimate at the forward base and also brush up on his combat skills.
On the flight back to New York, Gao Yang had Liang Dong join him. In New York, he handed Liang Dong over to Little Donnie, and then Gao Yang took Joseph ho.
By the ti he got ho, it was already midnight. Gao Yang didn’t disturb anyone and went to sleep. The next day, he started to gather everyone together.
Gao Yang wanted to introduce Joseph to his mates, so he organized a small gathering for Joseph. All the Satan mbers that were in New York were there, along with everyone’s families.
Normally, Gao Yang wouldn’t rush to introduce new mbers to Satan’s friends and family, but Joseph was different. Joseph was his bodyguard and in New York, he was bound to interact with these people. Additionally, Joseph would lead the entire security team.
Since Satan was off to the battlefield, these bodyguards didn’t have much to do. But since their annual salaries were paid, why let them sit idle? Joseph’s bodyguards could stick around to protect Satan mbers’ families.
The welco party was at Gao Yang’s house. As everyone arrived, Gao Yang found himself inexplicably tense.
Especially when Glolov and Natalia arrived, Gao Yang felt even guiltier. He cleared his throat several tis before finally speaking to Glolov.
"Where’s Yelena?"
"She’s at school, on her way ho."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Yelena opened the door. As soon as she ca in, Yelena hugged Gao Yang, excitedly asking, "Did you co back last night?"
Gao Yang knew his expression was off, but he tried hard to act normal. After hugging Yelena, he held her hand and loudly said to those who had arrived, "Everyone’s here now. Let formally introduce soone. His na is Joseph Raji. From now on, he’s one of us."
Cui Bo gaped at Joseph, saying, "What? Rubbish?"
This was Joseph’s welco ceremony, but Joseph had a stern face while standing in a corner and silently observing others. anwhile, Gao Yang hadn’t introduced him yet.
Your house has a stranger playing the role of a door sentinel in the corner—it’s odd, especially since Gao Yang hadn’t introduced him, making the atmosphere quite awkward.
Ignoring Cui Bo, Gao Yang pointed to Joseph and loudly said, "You might notice he’s acting a bit off. That’s because he’s my bodyguard. We’re still in the adjustnt stage, and he insists on sticking to his post at all tis. So, it looks pretty odd."
Frey, holding a beer, curiously asked, "A bodyguard."
Gao Yang waved to Joseph, saying, "Co on, mate. Drop the bodyguard act. This is a welco party for you. You can’t just stand there saying nothing."
Joseph raised a hand as a greeting and said in a deep voice, "Joseph Raji. Nice to et you."
After saying that, Joseph lowered his hand, crossed his arms over his abdon, and stood still without speaking.
Gao Yang scratched his head with a sense of headache and said, "Morgan strongly recomnded I should have a personal bodyguard—no, a bodyguard team, and Simon suggested Joseph to ."
Glolov nodded, saying, "Indeed, it’s ti for professional bodyguards."
No one at ho knew what happened in Italy, so the discussion ended there.
Gao Yang pointed at Joseph and said with a smile, "Initially, he was just supposed to be my bodyguard. But now he’s part of Satan. Co on, Joseph, co over and get to know everyone. When you’re with us, you’re not a bodyguard. Got it?"
Joseph hesitated for a mont, finally took off his sunglasses, put them away, and waved to everyone, awkwardly saying, "Hello, nice to et you."
Joseph didn’t know where to put his hands and still stood in the sa spot. Frey patted the sofa and said, "Co on, man, sit down. I’ve always wondered, why do bodyguards like wearing sunglasses, even indoors?"
Joseph said in a deep voice, "It hides my eyes, so when I’m observing soone, I won’t be noticed. In certain situations, staring into soone’s eyes is considered rude. Wearing sunglasses solves that issue."
Frey laughed and said, "That’s exactly what I thought."
At this ti, Gao Yang loudly said, "Rabbit, get Joseph a beer."
Joseph imdiately waved his hand, saying, "No, I absolutely don’t drink."
Cui Bo curiously asked, "You an absolutely? Not even off duty?"
Joseph nodded, saying, "That’s right. I don’t drink even when I’m not working. I won’t touch anything with alcohol."
Gao Yang waved his hand, smiling, "Then just take it easy. Sit down and chat with everyone. Also, I’ll have a bodyguard team with Joseph in charge—five people. When we leave, Joseph will go with us, but the other five bodyguards will stay. If any of you need one, you can take a bodyguard with you."
Mrs. Smith smiled and said, "We’re quite safe, don’t need bodyguards."
Gao Yang laughed, "I plan to find them a place. When we’re not around, they’ll stay there. Since their salaries are paid, they might as well take shifts like a job. If any of you encounter trouble, don’t call the police. Call our bodyguards directly."
After speaking, Gao Yang looked at Joseph and said, "Rember everyone here. Your team’s main duty is to protect them."
Joseph scanned the room, asking, "Everyone’s here?"
Gao Yang shook his head, saying, "No, no, we have many more."
At that mont, Cui Bo suddenly laughed and said, "Oh right, Taylor is coming back today. He’ll be here this afternoon."
