Now reading: Chapter 65 - 65 64 The Women of the Fighting Nation from Mercenary’s War, a Action novel by Just Like Water.

65: Chapter 64: The Won of the Fighting Nation 65: Chapter 64: The Won of the Fighting Nation Gao Yang quickly realized why the taxi refused to go any further.

About ten minutes into their walk, the number of people on both sides of the road began to increase.

However, what was ominous was that most of the individuals lining the streets were burly n with fierce expressions, standing in small groups outside the doors of certain buildings.

Beyond the strong-looking ruffians, which one could tell at a glance were not to be trifled with, there were prostitutes dressed in extrely revealing clothes, heavily made-up.

Furthermore, there were groups of skinheaded young n roving about from ti to ti.

Gang doorn, nurous streetwalkers, and the infamous Moscow blight of the Skinheads—all the people here seed threatening.

In Moscow, where racial discrimination was severe, and in such a chaotic district, Gao Yang and Li Jinfang’s distinctly Eastern faces drew a lot of attention and made them easy targets for danger.

Under the vicious gaze of the Skinheads, Gao Yang and Li Jinfang didn’t hesitate to glare back with equal intensity.

The reason for holding the Skinheads’ gaze was Lao Liu’s suggestion.

They did this because the Skinheads, too, were bullies who preyed on the perceived weak; if you just bowed your head and walked submissively, it could provoke a gang of Skinheads to punch and kick you.

But if you looked tough and seed like you might belong to the local Huaxia gangs, the Skinheads would not dare to cause trouble.

Of course, to challenge the Skinheads, one needed the confidence to back it up.

A lone, small and weak-looking person who dared to confront the Skinheads would probably invite a beating.

But Gao Yang, standing six feet tall, was lean but resilient, having survived through gunfire and shells, naturally exuding an aura of toughness.

As for Li Jinfang, at six feet and an imposing physique, even in Russia, he didn’t look short.

His formidable stature was imdiately recognizable as not that of an average person.

Especially when Li Jinfang clenched his fists and fiercely stared back at the Skinheads with ill intentions, they quickly averted their gaze.

Lao Liu walked at the forefront, tall and proud, and for good reason; he was a bona fide gang mber with many years of experience.

Though not of a large build, his mafioso presence alone was enough to deter most of the Skinheads.

As for the real gangsters, they couldn’t care less about Gao Yang and his group; unless there was sufficient benefit for them, gangsters preferred not to stir up trouble.

It was just those brain-dead followers worshipping the Nazis—who their grandfathers had made great sacrifices to defeat—as idols who were always causing unnecessary conflict.

Following the address on the slip of paper, Lao Liu searched until they stopped in front of a dilapidated apartnt building.

After checking the numbers on the building, Lao Liu nodded and said, “This is the place, we’ve arrived.”

If Gao Yang had a gun, he was confident he could take down anyone.

If it really ca down to it, and he had a knife, he would still feel sowhat confident to fight.

After all, he had spent three years in the African savannas.

But in a bare-handed fight, Gao Yang was a re nobody, with a combat effectiveness of only five, even the debt collectors for Zhao Xinwen could beat him up.

It was precisely because he was aware of his weaknesses that Gao Yang was on edge the entire way, afraid that they would end up fighting with those seemingly strong Skinheads.

Knowing they had finally reached their destination allowed him to breathe a sigh of relief.

After smiling, Gao Yang said apologetically, “Let’s hurry up inside, it’s too dangerous here.”

No sooner had Gao Yang spoken than a dull thud followed by the sound of shattering glass ca from behind him.

When he turned around, he saw three people bursting out of the bar across the street.

Two of the runners, who appeared to be only seventeen or eighteen years old, one of whom was clutching his head, staggering, and eventually falling to the ground.

Trailing behind was a girl dressed in a leather jacket and pants, her hair dyed in flashy colors.

The girl held in her hand the jagged half of a broken bottle.

She walked up to the fallen young man and fiercely stomped on him with her high heels, which were sharp at both the toe and heel, all the while shouting sothing in Russian.

The other young man, seeing this, stopped in his tracks and swung a punch at her.

Undeterred, the girl thrust the sharp half of the bottle she was holding directly at him.

After taking a punch, she jabbed the bottle into the punching young man’s face.

Watching as the young man clutched his face and fell to the ground, issuing a blood-curdling scream, Gao Yang involuntarily covered his own face and muttered to himself, “Damn, true to their reputation as a nation of fighters, even the won are fierce.”

The girl’s fight was not over yet.

While she had knocked out one with the bottle, her kicks didn’t stop, relentlessly targeting the stomach and head of the young man who had taken the hit.

Looking at the high heels, Gao Yang felt that if the young man continued to be kicked like this, he might lose his life.

Soon, seven or eight people ran out of the bar.

So went to check on the young man who was now covered in cuts from the broken bottle, while four n struggled to pull away the extrely fierce girl.

Only after they had managed to pull her away did they have a chance to rescue the unfortunate soul from beneath her feet.

Hearing the clamor of the people talking at once, Lao Liu shrugged his shoulders and said, “I know you’re curious, so I’ll translate.

The girl works in the bar, and those two sorry guys drugged her.

But she saw through their plan.

When they tried to overpower her, well, you saw what happened – they underestimated the woman’s fighting spirit.

But now it looks like the pretty girl is in trouble.

She’s beaten up the son of a local big shot.

The bar owner can’t afford to offend that big shot, so they won’t let the girl leave.

Alright, the show’s over.

Let’s quickly get out of here.

It’s going to get chaotic very soon.”

Gao Yang wasn’t interested in watching the commotion.

He nodded and was about to leave when he heard the girl, who was firmly held by four strong n, let out a piercing scream, and this ti Gao Yang understood because the girl was shouting “Mommy!”

Although Gao Yang was curious, he still did not stop.

However, just then, a window in the building they were about to enter was pushed open.

After a high-pitched soprano shriek, a flowerpot was thrown from the third-floor window.

The pot didn’t hit anyone when it smashed, but the bursting pot gave everyone a scare.

Using the thrown flowerpot as an opener, soon, with thudding sounds reminiscent of a large animal’s footsteps, a hefty matron weighing at least 200 pounds charged out of the building.

She whooshed past Gao Yang and his companions and, wielding a thick rolling pin, plunged into the fray.

The rolling pin swung through the air, scattering flour and landing on the heads of the muscular n.

One by one, they dropped to the ground, including those who were trying to subdue the tough girl.
