663: Chapter 655: I Am Invincible, Suppressing the Four Directions!

The lieutenant arranged for two n to grab the three empty magazines that Gao Yang had not discarded and run to Gao’s forr position, where the seven magazines he had replaced were left.

Glolov’s M60 machine gun and Gao’s rifle used the sa ammunition, so when Gao ran out of bullets, he could use the machine gun bullets from Glolov for ergencies.

Glolov didn’t have many bullets left either.

He usually carried one thousand rounds himself, which was already quite heavy, so he could not maintain fire suppression for a long ti.

Fortunately, Glolov still had a chain of two hundred rounds left.

Upon receiving Gao’s ssage, Glolov shared his last ammo chain, and with no bullets left, he personally helped two governnt soldiers load the rounds into Gao’s magazines.

Machine gun bullets had to be unlinked from the ammo chain first.

The M60 used the M113 strip that isn’t easily disassembled by hand, but it wasn’t very difficult either, rely labor-intensive work.

Glolov wanted to load the magazines himself because he feared that in their haste, the two governnt soldiers might accidentally load tracer bullets as well.

Gao’s rifle could indeed fire tracer bullets, but the trajectory differed from regular bullets.

In Gao’s pursuit of precision shooting, even a slight discrepancy could lead to entirely different outcos.

Therefore, Glolov needed to ensure that all the rounds in the magazines used by Gao were the sa.

While waiting for Glolov’s bullets, Gao started using the SVD sniper rifle.

The shooting experience was entirely different – the handling, the man-machine interaction, and far less precision than the Blade of Satan, not to ntion greater recoil and a heavier, longer barrel.

Gao used four bullets to find his shooting rhythm with the SVD.

Gao felt that the SVD he was using was not bad, especially since he was using the specialized 7N1 rounds for the SVD rather than casually using 7.62x54mm machine gun rounds as designated sniper rounds.

However, the SVD’s precision was nowhere near that of his Blade of Satan; the difference was too significant.

The SVD simply was not a rifle designed for ultra-high precision.

Even when using specialized ammunition, it couldn’t perform precision shooting beyond six hundred ters.

Despite its designation as a sniper rifle, it was a genuine precision shooting rifle, though for Gao, even as a precision rifle, the SVD’s precision was lacking.

But, the main reason Gao beca the top marksman was because of his skill, not the rifle itself.

Having a good rifle is, of course, better, but without one, using an ordinary rifle from soone else’s hands, Gao still could perform as a top marksman should.

Otherwise, if changing rifles completely threw off his ga, what kind of top marksman would he be?

Gao taught a lesson to a sniper nearby who just wanted to watch how he shot, showing him how different the sa gun could be in different hands.

By the fifth round, Gao had adjusted his aim and gauged the trajectory of the SVD in his hands.

Although the range wasn’t too far, just within four hundred ters, it was enough for Gao.

Gao began a new round of rapid firing; the seventh and eleventh shots from the SVD missed, but besides those, every bullet hit an enemy.

So people hit occasionally, but Gao only missed occasionally, assuming they used the sa rifle.

Of course, Gao was absolutely confident in his aiming.

Any misses were due to the rifle.

Gao switched to the third magazine and took thirty seconds to empty the ten-round magazine.

After taking a new magazine handed to him by a nearby sniper, Gao loaded the new magazine onto his rifle.

Then, he realized that within the SVD’s range of precision, there were no more targets left.

Indeed, he had cleared out all the enemies at closer range from the entire fan-shaped area east of the highway.

Out of necessity, Gao increased his shooting distance to beyond five hundred ters, primarily focusing on a crowd at six hundred ters.

At this distance, his hit rate began to drop significantly.

The SVD Gao was using was equipped with a PSO1 scope, a model already obsolete with a maximum magnification of only four tis.

Combined with the wide dispersion of the bullets, it was challenging for Gao to maintain a ‘one-shot, one-kill’ efficiency.

Still, for him, an efficiency of ‘two shots per kill,’ which seed very low, was sothing many marksn could not achieve in their lifetis.

Just as Gao was grumbling about his rifle, finally, a soldier brought him his magazines.

Two twenty-round full magazines.

While they were loaded with machine gun rounds and definitely couldn’t match the precision of carefully selected specialized sniper rounds, the machine gun ammunition Glolov used was not poorly made trash.

They were na-brand rounds produced by major factories, and their minimum precision was absolutely guaranteed.

Let’s not forget, Gao’s Blade of Satan wasn’t a delicate creature that only accepted fine fare.

Even using ordinary 7.62mm NATO rounds, its accuracy could reach 0.6 MOA—precision that most professional sniper rifles couldn’t achieve even with specialized sniper rounds.

After receiving two full magazines, Gao Yang couldn’t help but smile, looking at the rebel forces forced to lie prone on the ground, these stationary targets had already beco dead n in his eyes.

At a distance, there were too many reasons for missing a moving target, but no matter how far, as long as it was within range, as long as he could see the target, and as long as the target dared to stay still, they were just dead n waiting to be shot.

Gao Yang began a new round of shooting, maintaining his speed, and so, within a re minute, the rebels on the east side of the highway were wiped out, anyone within a mile either got shot by Gao Yang or managed to run beyond a safe distance.

Without cover, lacking protection and heavy weapons, and with a fiercely stubborn will to fight, dying rather than retreating, the rebels provided Gao Yang an extrely rare opportunity, an opportunity to kill without hesitation.

Gao Yang greatly admired those rebel forces from the ISI.S Front, unlike any he had seen before; their combat effectiveness was the sa trash, but their ntal toughness was superb, they were fearless towards death, constantly charging to their demise.

Gao Yang felt that if they weren’t there, these governnt soldiers would have been overwheld by the rebels’ relentless charges long ago, but with him there, with the Satan rcenary Corps there, these fearless rebels could only end up dead.

After clearing the eastern enemies with no targets left to shoot, Gao Yang got up and said to the wide-eyed lieutenant, “Change of direction, I’m going to take care of the enemies to the north!”

Two more full magazines were delivered, and Gao Yang carefully attached the magazines to his combat vest before he found a well-positioned spot, got down on the ground, and the governnt soldiers, including a lieutenant and a second lieutenant, collectively moved position following Gao Yang.

Once Gao Yang was prone, the northern enemies had already broken through to less than three hundred ters from the highway.

The threatening bullets were almost all coming from this direction, but under Tommy’s mortar suppression and the heavy firepower of many governnt soldiers, the north side of the highway couldn’t advance any closer to the road, which was where Gao Yang and their positions were.

However, the rebel forces on the north side of the highway were only suppressed; that is, they were all lying prone, but the casualties were not severe.

Unless they charged, the casualties would not increase.

But, once Gao Yang shifted his attention to the north side of the highway, the situation changed.

A re three hundred ters, whether stationary or moving, ant little to Gao Yang at this distance, there was only one kind of target for him, a sure-hit target.

With the greatest number of rebel forces on the north side of the highway, Gao Yang started continuous firing and soon used up all his bullets, firing a dozen more shots with the SVD before a newly filled magazine was delivered.

When Gao Yang once again had a multitude of targets to shoot at, Glolov and the other two were no longer able to keep up with the speed of his shooting.

Feeling that the enemy was close enough, Gao Yang didn’t waste his last 7.62 NATO rounds; as long as the target was not beyond four hundred ters, he used the SVD to knock them down one by one, just as if he were using a fly swatter against motionless flies.

Finally, the enemies to the north of the highway could no longer withstand it; they started a disorganized retreat, fleeing very quickly.

After the rebels began to flee, Gao Yang switched to his Blade of Satan and continued shooting, firing at any moving object to incapacitate it.

Gao Yang couldn’t say he was blinded by rage, but his mind was indeed blank, focused only on shooting; he completely forgot about commanding, and besides the sound of gunfire, there were no other sounds on the battlefield.

“The rebels from the south are attacking again!”

Finally, a shout broke the strange “silence” on the battlefield.

Without Gao Yang’s suppression, the rebels on the south side of the highway, after lying low for a while, tentatively advanced a bit, and then, unscathed, they launched a spirited charge again.

What Gao Yang had to do was simple: turn around, switch direction, and continue shooting, telling those joyous rebels that it was too early to celebrate, he was still there.

One man had bewildered both his enemies and allies alike, a miracle on the battlefield.

Miracles require contribution from both sides.

In Libya, Colombia, and Somalia, Gao Yang had experienced many battles, but none were like this one, where he rampantly slaughtered because the timid would run and hide after being hit, the formidable ones with heavy weapons could suppress him, but here, the almost light-infantry rebels stubbornly fought on while only being able to take hits, creating a miracle solely for Gao Yang.

An unreplicable miracle, a miracle belonging to Gao Yang, a miracle that astonished everyone involved in the battle.

With invincible, a single gun dominates all sides!
