777: Chapter 768 Radar 777: Chapter 768 Radar They loaded everything they might need onto the pickup truck.

After resting and getting in optimal physical and ntal state, Gao Yang and his team set off.

The distance between outposts wasn’t too far apart; Captain Sadiq might discover any mont that sothing had happened to his subordinates, or perhaps he had already noticed.

It was best to be cautious.

They started from their hiding spot, bumping along.

They used the car lights while within the woods but turned them off once they reached the open grasslands.

Although they couldn’t speed up, Gao Yang and his team couldn’t just drive up next to Captain Sadiq’s outpost either.

After checking the GPS and estimating that they were about three to four kiloters away from the outpost, Gao Yang and his team got out of the truck in a dense patch of jungle; it was still dark out, the deepest darkness just before dawn.

They marked the location where they parked.

Gao Yang grabbed his AKM, which he felt was pretty accurate, let Bantuna carry his shotgun, while Jansen discarded his unused AKM for an RPD light machine gun.

After getting out, Gao Yang turned on his headlamp, took the suitcase of money, and after finding a thick bush nearby, hid the suitcase inside it.

Watching Gao Yang’s actions, Jansen whispered, “Aren’t you going to carry that with you?

That’s a lot of money.

You’re just going to leave it here?”

Gao Yang smiled and said, “It’s too heavy.

I’d rather carry more bullets.

Besides, the money won’t go missing here.”

After picking up the machine gun from the truck and slinging it over his shoulder, Jansen laughed and said, “Two hundred thousand US dollars; if it were , I’d carry it no matter how heavy.”

Although they were headed into battle, the atmosphere wasn’t tense at all.

Bantuna, who was leading the way, occasionally turned around to joke.

Ever since coming into an unexpected fortune, both Bantuna and Jansen were in high spirits.

Gao Yang didn’t know the exact location of the outpost.

All they could do was reach the approximate location and search from there.

Unlike cities with many sources of light, the forest at night was pitch black.

The saying “you can’t see your hand in front of your face” wasn’t an exaggeration here.

They didn’t have a night vision device and couldn’t use a bright headlamp or flashlight so as not to reveal their position.

They could only rely on headlamps turned down to the lowest setting, which made their progress slow.

As they neared the outpost, they stopped talking and just moved quietly.

Gao Yang felt there wouldn’t be any problems before reaching the outpost, so he was very relaxed, only occasionally looking up at Bantuna.

The rest of the ti, he just watched the path.

Bantuna was walking ten ters ahead of Gao Yang.

Normally, a scout in the lead should be at least twenty or thirty ters ahead; any closer would be aningless.

But because they were traveling at night without night vision devices and there were only three of them, there wasn’t much sense in Bantuna increasing the distance.

If he spotted anything, he would have to shout to inform them in ti, so it was better to stay closer.

Suddenly, Bantuna stopped, crouched down and covered the light on his head.

Seeing Bantuna’s movents, Gao Yang imdiately stopped as well and grabbed Jansen behind him.

Gao Yang didn’t know what Bantuna had spotted, but covering the light surely ant there was danger.

Bantuna slightly tilted his head, listened intently for a mont, then suddenly raised his gun and fired at a spot not far in front of him.

As Bantuna fired, he dropped to the ground and shouted, “Enemy!”

Gao Yang and Jansen also dropped to the ground with a thud and turned off their headlamps.

They couldn’t see or hear anything, which made Gao Yang anxious.

He had never experienced combat like this.

After they went prone, everything fell silent again.

Suddenly, Gao Yang thought of a possibility.

Bantuna had discovered the enemy, but what if those people were from the Akuri tribe?

With that thought, Gao Yang imdiately shouted in Akuri, “Chieftain, Balix!

I am White Child!”

Gao Yang shouted, but nobody responded.

After a few seconds, Gao Yang heard the sound of two heavy objects hitting the ground, followed by two loud explosions.

The explosions were close to Gao Yang but didn’t injure him.

The enemy had thrown grenades with tid fuses.

Gao Yang couldn’t tell where the grenades had been thrown from, but he knew the enemy couldn’t be far away, at most twenty ters, possibly even within ten.

Bantuna shouted loudly, “I told you they are enemies!

Don’t make any more noise!”

As Bantuna was crawling swiftly on the ground, two flashes of gunfire sprayed in the direction from which Bantuna had just made noise.

Seeing the muzzle flashes, Gao Yang pinpointed the enemy’s position, less than ten ters from Bantuna and just over twenty ters from him.

Gao Yang quickly raised his gun, but as he was about to shoot, he put the gun back and instead slowly pulled the pin on a grenade and threw it toward the darkness that had reclaid visibility.

Shooting would reveal his location, but throwing a grenade wouldn’t.

However, without sight, it significantly affected the sense of direction.

Throwing a grenade into the darkness, Gao Yang wasn’t sure if he had thrown it in the right direction or the correct distance.

After the grenade exploded, Gao Yang realized he had indeed thrown the grenade wildly off target.

Jansen whispered in a tiny voice from behind Gao Yang, “What’s going on!”

Gao Yang also lowered his voice, whispering, “I don’t know!”

Just as Gao Yang finished speaking, he heard soone whisper beside him, “Don’t talk, it will expose our position.”

Bantuna had quietly crawled over without making any noise; Gao Yang hadn’t heard a sound, and when Bantuna suddenly spoke, it gave Gao Yang quite a fright.

After laying down not far from Gao Yang, Bantuna whispered, “I heard soone breathing, and I heard the sound of gun chanisms being cocked.

I just killed one, but there are at least seven or eight more!”

Gao Yang was sowhat anxious, saying, “I can’t see anything; I can’t shoot like this.”

Just then, Gao Yang heard faint sounds of footsteps and Bantuna suddenly opened fire.

Gao Yang couldn’t tell where the enemy was, but after Bantuna fired, a scream soon followed.

In complete darkness, Bantuna had still managed to hit the moving enemy.

After firing, they had to move positions.

Without needing a reminder from Bantuna, Gao Yang and Jansen imdiately rolled to the side, moving slightly after several rolls, followed by several sounds of grenades hitting the ground.

So grenades exploded upon impact—these were impact fuses; others exploded after a brief delay—these were ti-delay fuses.

Although the enemy threw many grenades, their landing spots were very far off.

Just like Gao Yang’s situation, the enemy, unable to see anything, also had severe directional problems.

They could hear sounds but couldn’t accurately throw the grenades to the intended spots.

At that mont, Bantuna whispered close to Gao Yang’s ear, “Give a grenade.”

Gao Yang got a big scare; Bantuna had silently moved close to him again.

Gao Yang took a grenade from his belt, felt Bantuna at his right side, and held out the grenade for Bantuna to take.

He heard no sound, but after waiting a while, Gao Yang heard the slight sound of an arm swinging, then just twenty ters away from him, the grenade exploded.

After the explosion, soone shouted in English, “I’m hurt, help , ah, f**k, help !”

Gao Yang didn’t know how Bantuna had spotted the enemy, but now he understood why Bantuna was nicknad Radar.

Gao Yang had already taken out a second grenade, passed it to Bantuna after finding him, and then simply waited.

No one dared to make a sound.

Gao Yang lay on the ground, not daring to breathe heavily, he opened his mouth and breathed slowly through it to prevent making loud, rapid breathing sounds from the tension.

Initially, Gao Yang could hear Jansen breathing heavily not far behind him, but soon he couldn’t hear Jansen’s breaths; Jansen must have been breathing through his mouth too.

In complete silence, ti seed to pass extrely slowly.

After what felt like a long ti, Gao Yang heard the slight sound of Bantuna moving his arm.

Gao Yang was already holding two grenades, and upon hearing Bantuna’s sound, he imdiately passed the grenades to him.

After the explosion, there was another scream, with soone loudly saying, “F**k, my leg!

Can they see?!”

“Shut up, don’t talk, they can’t see…”

Before the person could finish, Bantuna threw the second grenade.

This ti Gao Yang didn’t even hear the wind until the explosion told him that Bantuna had already thrown the grenade.

The shouting abruptly stopped, and then at least four guns fired simultaneously, with the shooters running and shooting as they moved.

The enemy couldn’t keep calm any longer, but once there were visible muzzle flashes guiding their direction, Gao Yang could finally shoot too.

He held his gun and moved quickly, firing bursts at three points where the muzzle flashes appeared, and as soon as the fourth man’s muzzle flash showed, Gao Yang fired a burst there too, then imdiately rolled to the side.

Gao Yang was very unaccustod to fighting in complete darkness, and the enemy clearly wasn’t comfortable either, but the difference was, Gao Yang’s side had Radar, but the enemy didn’t.

The one who moved would die, and the one who fired would also die; the enemy didn’t dare move anymore, only the wounded made faint groaning sounds.

At that mont, Bantuna said in a weak voice, “Grenade.”

Bantuna had silently reached Gao Yang’s side again, but this ti Gao Yang was immune to the surprise.

He silently pulled out a grenade and handed it to Bantuna, whispering, “This is the last one.”

After taking the grenade, Bantuna whispered, “Let’s conserve it; I’ll go and finish the enemies.

Don’t shoot at the sight of glare unless you’re sure it’s not .

Wait for !” (To be continued.
