"Who do you intend to kill?" The man who donned a ghost face mask, approached the Black Mountain Sect Master from behind with Yue'er held securely in his arm. His indifferent and cold voice was as terrifying as that of a hellish demon, entering his ears eerily.
The Sectmaster, previously a figure of formidable authority, found himself utterly immobilized. The sudden apparition of the masked man, combined with the palpable aura of death emanating from him, rendered any attempt at resistance futile. The re touch of the man's hand upon his shoulder gave him a sense of impending doom, as fear overca him.
The hands that had monts before restrained Muchen, one gripping his neck with cruel intent, involuntarily relaxed their hold. The pressure exerted by the masked man's presence compelled the Sect Master's limbs to relinquish their grasp, as if guided by an unseen force. Muchen, now free, hastily sought refuge beside the masked man, his gaze fixed on his sister. "Yue'er, are you alright?" he inquired, his voice laced with anxiety.
"I am fine, brother~" Yue'er responded, attempting to co down, but found herself firmly held within the masked man's grasp.
In the midst of their converstaion, they heard a sharp snapping sound as they both tunred their heads towardas the source of it. All they saw was thae Ghost Faced Masked Man give the Black Mountain Sect Master a light pat on the shoulder. It was as if all of his bones had been smashed, and his whole body collapsed into a ball on the ground. A miserable scream ca from his mouth, his mouth overflowing with blood, his eyes wide open, and his body twitching, until, unable to catch his breath until finally, he stopped breathing.
Yue'er, montarily stunned by the brutal display, observed as the masked man turned his attention towards her. "Did I scare you?" He asked apprehensively.
She shook her head, attempting to project an air of composure. "No, I am quite brave."
Upon hearing this, the man smiled and said, "Very good.'
"You can put down already~," Yue'er took the opportunity to say, and then looked at the Mountain Demon again, wrinkling her nose and saying, "What if you can't deal with that Child-eating demon?"
"Ha ha..." The man chuckled softly, still holding her in one arm, and said, "I only need one hand to deal with him."
He then proceeded to release Muchen from his restraints with a swift, precise motion. His gaze shifted towards the trapped silver wolf, a creature of formidable power, and a subtle, enigmatic smile played upon his lips. He approached the caged beast, Yue'er still cradled in his arm, followed closely by Muchen.
"The silver wolf is a Super Sacred Beast, he's sooooo powerful, how can this cage trap it?" Yue'er asked, looking at the golden bell-shaped cage curiously.
"This is a rare treasure, not to ntion Super Sacred Beasts, but even Ancient Sacred Beasts can be trapped," he replied casually as he raised his hand and pressing it against the mysterious golden steel cover. With a gentle turn of the palm, all that could be heard was a clang accompanied by a burst of air.
"Pfffft!"
The Mountain Demon, who was being supported, had his blood contract with his precious artifact broken, causing his blood and energy to turn against him and his spirit energy to recede. A mouthful of his heart's blood spurted out, making his already pale face appear even paler. The spurting of his heart's blood also aggravated his injuries, causing him to feel a darkness before his eyes, but he forced himself to hold on.
Yue'er watched curiously as he turned his hand around, and the artifact was collected in the palm of his hand, becoming a small golden bell.
"Here you go, it's yours now." He said as he placed the artifact in Yue'er's hand.
