"Mm, alright."
Feng Xiao replied, then turned to Feng Jiu. "Let's go. I'll accompany you to see your Mother and Grandmother. They've been missing you terribly, and they'll be overjoyed to see you back. Oh, and I haven't told them the news about the children Xilin sent. They'll be happy to hear that too."
"Mm hmm," Feng Jiu responded softly, and followed him.
As they watched them leave, Feng Sanyuan paced the courtyard, his brow furrowed in thought. Had sothing happened to Mo Ze? He couldn't help but recall the thunderous tribulation from so ti ago, and Xilin's hasty departure then.
However, no one had explained what had transpired. They had initially assud it was unrelated, but now, they feared otherwise...
It seed they would need to question Xilin and the others thoroughly upon their return.
Three days later, at dusk, at the city gate.
Murong Yixuan gazed at the familiar yet foreign landscape, a sense of sadness washing over him.
This place held too many mories, both cherished and painful. He never imagined he would ever return.
"Your servant greets the three young Masters!"
The Feng Guards, who had been awaiting their arrival, erged as soon as they recognized the three Young Masters. So quickly rushed back to deliver the news.
Murong Yixuan's eyes flickered as he regarded the guards. "Are you the Feng Guards?" He focused on the Feng Tokens at their waists.
"Yes." The two Feng Guards recognized him as well, and were surprised to see that he had escorted their Young Masters. They bowed in gratitude. "Thank you, Young Master Murong, for bringing our Young Masters ho."
"Your Old Patriarch and Master are at ho, correct? After escorting them back, please inform Feng Jiu to return as soon as possible." As he spoke, he glanced at the silent Ghost Faced Masked Man beside him.
The Feng Guards followed his gaze. They had noticed the man earlier, carrying their young lady with such care and affection. They had assud he was a friend of their Master. But Murong Yixuan's words made them wary.
One of the Feng Guards replied, "Our Patriarch returned several days ago and is waiting for the Young Masters at the manor." His gaze swept over Seventeen, observing him curiously.
"Young Master Murong, this Master, please co with us to the manor!" The Fengwei guard gestured politely.
Hearing that Feng Jiu was at the Feng Manor, Murong Yixuan felt a wave of relief. He told the Feng Guards, "Now that the children are here and your Patriarch is at the manor, I have other matters to attend to. I won't be joining you. Please convey my regards to Feng Jiu and your Old Patriarch. I must take my leave."
He then looked at the three children and said gently, "Listen to your Mother when you return. You'll be safest by her side. I'll be going now." He smiled and patted Muchen's head.
Hao'er, Muchen, and Muyue exchanged glances as he turned to leave. Hao'er and Muchen called out in unison, "Uncle Murong, thank you."
