While he was speaking, Hao’er swiftly pulled out a piece of cloth and so bleeding-stop dicine, quickly bandaging the deepest wound on his body. Only then did he respectfully bow to the Azure Emperor and say, “Disciple thanks his master for saving him.”
“Let’s go! I’ll protect you for a while longer,” the Azure Emperor said. He had originally intended to let Hao’er handle the remaining tasks himself, but upon seeing his disciple’s deep wound, he changed his mind and stepped forward.
Seeing this, a rare smile appeared on Hao’er’s face, and he replied loudly, “Yes!” then quickly followed. He didn’t know why his Master had changed his mind. He only knew that his Master, who had initially instructed him to manage the situation alone, had now accompanied him. Hao’er didn’t even need to lift a finger as his Master effortlessly dealt with all the remaining black-robed cultivators outside.
“Return to the mountain as soon as possible after this matter is resolved. We’re only missing you now,” the Azure Emperor said, glancing at Hao’er beside him.
“Yes, disciple understands,” Hao’er replied respectfully.
“Clean yourself up when you return, so the two little ones won’t worry,” the Azure Emperor added lightly.
“Yes,” Hao’er nodded, a warm feeling flowing through his heart.
As soon as his Master’s voice faded, the figure standing before him vanished. Rembering the Azure Emperor’s words about this being only a fragnt of his essence, Hao’er made a silent resolution in his heart: he would work diligently to cultivate so that one day, even his fragnt of power would be as formidable as his Master’s.

anwhile, back on Yunxiao Mountain, in his serene cave abode, the Azure Emperor, who had been resting on a soft couch, slowly opened his eyes. He stood up, elegantly dusted off his robe, and walked outside. After leaving the cave abode, he proceeded leisurely to a stone table beneath a tree and sat down. From his spatial ring, he produced so wine and a wine cup, savoring the tranquil peace of the mont.
However, after a while, he heard a soft and sweet voice approaching from afar.
“Master, Master!” Yue’er skipped and jumped towards him, quickly reaching his front. With the eagerness of soone presenting a treasure, she pulled sothing from her spatial ring. “Master, Master, look, I brought you a gift when I ca back.”
The Azure Emperor looked at her as she opened the small box in her hand and took out a jet-black hairpin that glowed with a subtle, moist sheen. She presented it to him as if it were the most precious item in the world.
“Master, Master, look, isn’t it beautiful? I sold so fierce beasts for money and bought this with the money,” Yue’er said with a bright smile as she offered him the hairpin.
The three children had been following their Master here for a year now. Their Master was incredibly kind and had taken ticulous care of them. So, when Yue’er went out this ti, she made sure to earn so extra money, specifically intending to buy a gift for him.
When he saw the hairpin, the Azure Emperor’s eyes flashed subtly. He knew everything they had experienced during their outdoor training, so he was well aware that this little girl had ticulously collected the skins or horns of fierce beasts, or perhaps so dicinal pills, and sold them for a considerable sum. She had then visited the Eight Treasures Tower to select sothing, ultimately choosing this hairpin. He had initially thought it was a gift for her father, but he hadn’t expected it to be for him.
Thinking of this, his eyes softened. He picked up the black jade hairpin. “Hmm, I’ll accept this gift,” he said gently.
“Hee hee, do you like it, Master?” Yue’er asked him with a wide smile, tilting her little head back, like a child eagerly awaiting praise.
