He turned to the Azure Emperor beside him and remarked, “It seems my late master’s Nine-Section Red Fla Phoenix Scale Whip will end with ! I never thought I would have a day when I would misjudge soone so thoroughly. What a mistake, what a mistake!”
The Azure Emperor rely glanced at him, curling his lips ever so slightly. He gently swirled the wine cup in his hand, took a leisurely sip, and then replied, “Didn’t I already send you sothing? Even if it’s a loss, it’s not that big of a loss. Besides, that whip is useless to you now, so it’s perfectly suited for my disciple.” Immortal Elder Lingmu simply smiled in response, saying nothing more, his gaze fixed once again on the events unfolding in the mirror. He seed to silently add, ‘Even if he gave it to them, they would have to be able to take it out! Let’s just wait and see!’
Inside the mirror, Zhao Ziming, was visibly shocked to witness his Junior Sister, Nangong Yuyan, defeated by that little girl and subsequently teleported away. In that brief mont of distraction, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his own arm, and his heart sank. He looked down and couldn’t help but offer a bitter smile. Fresh blood was already seeping from the inside of his arm, and the petals there were rapidly disappearing. In the very next mont, before he could utter a single word, he too was teleported away.
“How are you? Are you seriously injured? Quickly apply so dicine,” Hao’er and Muchen quickly urged, rushing to Yue’er’s side after dealing with Zhao Ziming. Seeing the deep wound on the inside of her arm, they couldn’t help but feel a pang of pain themselves.
“It hurts a lot, doesn’t it?” Muchen asked, gently holding her hand, his small face etched with worry.
“Yes, it hurts a lot. Senior Brother, please be gentle when you apply the dicine. I’m afraid of pain,” Yue’er said, a truly pitiful look on her face.
“Yeah, Senior Brother will be gentle; just bear with it,” Hao’er reassured her as he carefully applied dicine to her wound and then bandaged it. “Junior Sister, stay here and watch! We’ll go get the whip for you.” Hao’er then helped her rest on one side.
Yue’er’s arm indeed hurt a great deal, so she didn’t try to act strong anymore. She simply nodded, saying, “Okay, Senior Brother and Second Senior Brother, please be careful.”
“We know,” the two replied in unison. Then, they both looked up at the majestic phoenix perched above them. In the next mont, they gathered their energy and soared towards the creature.
Outside the mirror, everyone watched the unfolding scene, unable to stop pondering its implications. They looked at Immortal Elder Lingmu and asked, “Immortal Elder, could it be that this Nine-Section Red Fla Phoenix Scale Whip is this phoenix?”
Immortal Elder Lingmu smiled, stroking his long beard thoughtfully. He looked at everyone and then laughed, “You don’t know, but this phoenix is not a beast at all. It is, in fact, the spirit of the Nine-Section Red Fla Phoenix Scale Whip itself. In the Moon Reflection Illusory Spirit Realm, it has always appeared in the form of a spirit.”
“No wonder we only knew that the Nine-Section Red Fla Phoenix Scale Whip was sowhere in the depths of the spirit realm, but no one ever knew where it was hidden. So that’s how it is!” An immortal elder nodded, a sudden realization dawning on him, his long-held doubts finally cleared.
Immortal Elder Lingmu smiled again, then looked at the Azure Emperor and said, “I have never ntioned this before, so you would not have known. I am telling you today because I estimate that the Nine-Section Red Fla Phoenix Scale Whip will be revealed today, so there is no need to hide it anymore.”
