"Families like that exist? I've never heard of them," Feng Jiu said, a hint of surprise in her voice. Having only recently ascended, the information Mo Chen provided focused solely on powerful figures, so such specialized culinary families were indeed new to her.
At that mont, the shopkeeper, who had been listening intently, couldn't help but interject. "I know of the Culinary God Song. He is, in fact, renowned for improving his cultivation through his culinary arts. His dishes are crafted from rare spirit beasts, whose at naturally enhances spiritual energy. However, when prepared by Culinary God Song, that effect is said to increase tenfold. It's also rumored that he is most famous for his dicinal dishes, which can cure illnesses and are valued beyond asure, truly worth their weight in gold."
As he spoke, the shopkeeper looked at the girl in green with renewed admiration. "I didn't expect you to be a mber of the Song family. My apologies."
"How about that? Impressive, right?" The girl lifted her chin, her face beaming with pride.
Feng Jiu appeared thoughtful. "I never imagined such a chef existed. I truly am ignorant," she said with a smile, a decision forming in her mind. She was, after all, looking for a chef. If such a culinary master truly existed, she would certainly extend an invitation for him to join her immortal palace.
"I didn't expect that! You're actually from the Song family of chefs." A man's voice suddenly cut through the air from behind them.
A man dressed in elegant brocade and fine clothes entered, his hands clasped behind his back. He was followed by several bodyguards and a middle-aged man. Initially, the man in brocade focused his gaze on the pretty girl, but then his eyes landed on the stunning woman in red within the shop.
"Who is this young lady?" The man's eyes widened with amazent, his attention imdiately diverted from the girl.
Feng Jiu offered no reply, simply casting an indifferent glance at the man before looking away.
"Sister, let treat you to dinner!" the girl in green exclaid, turning to Feng Jiu. "I just bought two new knives, so it's the perfect opportunity to try them out!"
Feng Jiu, having just been treated to a al, couldn't help but smile at the prospect of another invitation, but she didn't refuse. "Sounds good," she replied simply.
"Let's go," the girl in green said, starting to move forward.
"Hehe, don't rush off!" The man in brocade clothes reached out, attempting to stop her. "I've heard that the Song family of chefs are all incredibly skilled. It's a rare pleasure to et a young lady from such a lineage here, so why don't you co to my residence?"
"Hmph! Do you think you can just invite ?" The girl in green sneered, delivering a swift kick towards the man in brocade. "Get out of my way, you dog!"
When she made her move, the man quickly dodged and retreated, his face darkening with anger. He imdiately barked an order: "Catch her!"
"Sister, step back!" The girl in green pushed Feng Jiu to the side, then, with startling speed, retrieved a frying pan from her spatial ring. She swung it directly at the heads of the two guards who were rushing towards her.
Feng Jiu stepped back, observing the scene. Her lips twitched when she saw the young girl using a frying pan as a weapon. As she watched the girl's peculiar thod of attack, Feng Jiu couldn't help but focus her attention, studying it carefully. After a mont, a look of genuine astonishnt appeared on her face.
She hadn't been mistaken. The girl's attacks clearly mimicked the movents used to stir-fry food and cut at! Judging by her stance, it was as if she were treating the two guards as her ingredients. In the very next instant, Feng Jiu saw a small knife appear in the girl's hand. Imdiately after, the girl shouted in a delicate voice, "Skin them!" As soon as the words left her lips, the small knife in her hand swiftly and precisely cut through the clothes of the two guards.
