Perhaps because of the dicine and bandages, the lion woke up and opened its eyes, but it remained motionless, staring at the young human girl who was bandaging it.
“I took your spot, so bandaging you is my way of making it up to you,” Yue’er said, stepping back to the fire. “You can’t move because I used dicine. I was worried you might attack , so I had to use it on you. But don’t worry, I won’t kill you. I’ll leave as soon as it’s daylight.”
She held her hands over the fire to warm them, rubbing them together for warmth, then glanced at the lion again and muttered, “Your rank is so high, and your strength must be formidable. If not for a Sacred Beast-level creature, you shouldn’t have been injured, right? How did you end up getting scratched up so badly?”
