Capítulo 5039: Nothing special
His laughter abruptly froze, his gaze darkening with murderous intent. “In this world, might makes right! You expect the esteed Cheng family to apologize to your Song family? Ha! Utterly preposterous!”
Hearing his words, the faces of several elders standing nearby paled. They hurried to Song Lingbo’s side, their voices urgent. “Lingbo, you told us not to worry. What plan do you have? The Cheng family has co to our doorstep! Speak up!”
They were truly at their wits’ end. The Cheng family had arrived, and not just any mbers—three of the nine revered elders. If only two had co, perhaps these old bones, combined with Song Lingbo, could have put up a fight. But three? That was an entirely different matter.
Even if they pooled all their strength, they couldn’t possibly fight three Supre Masters!
Song Lingbo pressed her lips together, saying nothing.
“Where is that woman?” the red-clad woman asked impatiently.
Hearing her words, several clan elders imdiately stepped forward. “What woman? Let us tell you! Today, even if we have to fight with our old bones, we will never let you harm a single mber of the Song family!”
“With just you lot?”
The woman in red sneered coldly, a flash of murderous intent darting through her eyes. Suddenly, she raised her hand and hurled a hidden weapon at the oldest elder standing at the front: “If you’re so eager to co forward and die, I’ll grant you your wish!”
“Whoosh!”
A fierce energy blade, carrying the overwhelming pressure of a supre powerhouse, shot forth, aiming to strike down the foremost elder by surprise and make the Song family taste the terror of impending death.
“Watch out!”
As the hidden weapon flew, its speed was so great that only its shadow could be seen, not its form. Yet the pressure emanating from the supre powerhouse was too imnse to ignore.
Song Lingbo stepped forward to intercept the projectile, only to hear a clang as the weapon—one he hadn’t even seen clearly—was knocked to the ground.
Clang!
Song Lingbo and his three sons froze, watching as a gold coin fell beside the projectile not far ahead.
“Who’s there!” The red-clad woman’s expression darkened instantly upon seeing the projectile deflected.
Feng Jiu approached from a short distance away, clad in simple azure robes. Her features were plain and unremarkable, yet her clear, cool eyes held an unflappable calm. Her pace was asured and unhurried, her aura so deeply concealed that her cultivation level remained entirely unreadable.
“My apologies for being late,” Feng Jiu offered an apologetic smile to the Song family and others. With a flick of her wrist, several items flew through the air, landing securely in the hands of the three Song brothers.
The Song brothers stared in stunned silence at the items now resting in their hands or laps. With their discerning eyes, they could tell these were all top-tier treasures, but where had they co from?
In contrast to the Song family’s bewildernt, the three mbers of the Cheng family were jolted by a wave of shock. Their hearts surged with alarm as they cried out in disbelief, “How did those things end up in your possession?!”
Feng Jiu smiled and addressed the Song family mbers: “On my way over, I happened to deal with an old man who snuck in. It took a bit of ti. Those items ca from him. Consider them a gift to you.” Her gaze shifted from the Song family to the three n, and she offered a faint smile.
“So you’re the ones sent by the Cheng family? Looks like you’re nothing special.”
