“Alright, I must go now. If you want anything to eat, find Mi’er and she’ll cook for you. But rember—no sneaking off the Immortal Island.” She instructed.
“Yes, Mother.” The three answered in unison. Watching her depart, they headed straight for the martial arts training grounds.
For Yuan Jing, this was unfamiliar territory. Blind, he didn’t even know the way out of the courtyard. So, after the celestial maid brought him to the guest quarters, he hadn’t stepped outside once all day.
Being blind, even if he went out, he wouldn’t see the beauty of the celestial realm. He might even cause trouble for the Phoenix Empress. Since that was the case, why not just stay within this courtyard?
Until evening fell.
“Is this the place?”
Mi’er peered out, surveying the courtyard. As dusk deepened, she saw no lamps or fires lit within—only pitch darkness. The man nad Yuan Jing sat there.

“Oh, it’s , Song Mi’er.” Mi’er entered, carrying the evening al. “Why haven’t you lit any lamps here? It’s pitch black everywhere. I almost thought I’d wandered into the wrong guest quarters!” She placed the evening al on the table.
“I’m blind. Lighting a lamp wouldn’t help see,” Yuan Jing said gently. He stood up, bowed toward the front, and added, “Still, thank you for your kindness, young lady.”
Mi’er, who had already started walking toward the guest rooms, glanced back. Seeing him bowing toward an empty space, she couldn’t help but smile warmly. ” No need for such formalities. I’m in charge of als on this island—I brought you dinner. Sit down and eat! I’ve placed it right before you.” With that, she headed toward the guest quarters, adding, “There’s a night pearl in the room. I’ll remove the covering cloth for you, and it’ll brighten things up a bit.”
