"Found it." Feng Jiu stared intently at the spot behind her ear, his brow slightly furrowed. "But this Gu is rather large—it won’t be easy to draw out."
"What should we do?" Qin Xin couldn’t help but ask.
Feng Jiu watched the Gu wriggling beneath the skin behind her ear. After a mont of deep thought, he said, "Lure it downward and dig it out."
Hearing this, Qin Xin glanced at the unconscious Qingcheng and asked, "What preparations does Master need? I’ll go gather them."
"Just find a few strips of cloth," Feng Jiu replied, clasping Qingcheng’s hand as she channeled a thread of Blue Lotus energy into her body. This thread of energy, however, resembled a fishing line, slowly extending from her own arm.
"See that Gu? I’ll lure it down. Once it descends, tightly bind the area above its position with cloth strips. Tie one band at a short interval, then gradually loosen the subsequent ones."
"Understood." Qin Xin affird, her gaze fixed intently on the Gu’s location.
The Gu lay dormant beneath the skin, barely visible except for a slight bulge where it stirred. It would occasionally sink deeper, hiding within the flesh, making it difficult to detect.
Qin Xin watched as the Gu beneath the skin slowly migrated toward the arm. Once it reached that area, she began tightening the cloth band around Qingcheng’s arm. As the band constricted, the Gu swelled more prominently, becoming easier to see.
Feng Jiu pressed down with one hand. When the Gu reached the lower arm, the dagger in her other hand instantly sliced open the skin. With a flick of the blade, a golden worm shot out.
Whoosh!
A silver needle shot forth, piercing the Gu and pinning it to the wall.
Glancing at the Gu, Feng Jiu raised her palm, using the power of the Blue Lotus to heal the wound on her arm. The injury closed at a visible speed.
Feng Jiu fed her another dicinal pill before instructing Qin Xin, "Disperse the bloodstain in this room. She should wake up tonight. Keep a close watch."
"Yes." Qin Xin responded, tidying the room and opening the windows to air out the bloodstain. She watched as her master removed the silver needle from the wall and stared intently at the Gu.
"Master, is the Gu poison in her body neutralized now?"
"Yes, removing this Gu will suffice. However, her body remains weak and will require several days of recuperation." Feng Jiu placed the venomous insect into a Gu and tossed it into her spatial pouch. After instructing Qin Xin to care for Qingcheng, she departed.
With Mo Ze’s awakening, the main courtyard buzzed with chatter. The arrival of Hun Yuan particularly enlivened the atmosphere.
However, by the ti Feng Jiu returned, everyone had moved to the garden. After all, Mo Ze had just regained consciousness, and they wished to avoid disturbing his rest.
Thus, when Feng Jiu returned to the main courtyard, only Leng Hua, Leng Shuang, Gray Wolf and Shadow One remained in the yard.
"Mo Ze, are you tired? Would you like to rest first?" Feng Jiu asked as soon as she entered, her gaze fixed on him in the courtyard.
"No need. My body is gradually recovering. It’s fine," he replied, reaching out his hand.
Feng Jiu took his hand, allowing him to guide her to a seat in the courtyard. The others automatically withdrew to stand guard outside the courtyard gate.
"When do you plan to return to the Feng family ancestral ho?" he inquired.
Feng Jiu smiled. "Naturally, we’ll wait until you’re feeling better. Actually, I intend to set up the teleportation array within Peach Blossom Ridge."
