Feng Jiu followed behind, growing increasingly puzzled. Her father was heading toward the mountainside facing the city, where the terrain rose higher, offering views of the city below.
However, this spot was quite secluded. Even if soone ventured to the back mountains, few would co here. After all, if they wanted to enjoy the scenery, they could go anywhere in the city.
Yet, as she observed the path through the back mountains, she could faintly see signs of soone having walked here. Patches of weeds had been flattened, revealing a narrow, winding trail.
After walking for a while, she saw her Father stop at a spot resembling a grave mound. His figure blocked her view of the na engraved on the stone marker, but she felt a pang of surprise.
How could there be a grave here on the Feng family’s back mountain? Moreover, judging by the soil on the mound, it didn’t look like a recent burial.
Who was buried here? Why hadn’t she known about it?
Why would her Father co here alone? Neither Grandfather nor anyone else at ho had ever ntioned a grave in this place!
Her confusion deepened as she heard her Father murmuring softly ahead. She strained her ears to listen.
Feng Xiao stood before the stone tablet, observing the weeds growing around the grave and the fallen leaves upon the tablet. He murmured, "Ge’er, Father has co to see you." As he spoke, he brushed the leaves from the tablet, then knelt down. From his spatial pouch, he retrieved three incense sticks and placed them in the burner. He poured wine into three small cups.
Feng Jiu, eavesdropping from behind, felt her heart jolt at these words. Her eyes narrowed in shock as she stared toward the grave. In that mont, as her Father knelt to pour the wine, she caught sight of the na carved upon the stone tablet.

Her heart trembled. For a long mont, she stood frozen, her eyes filled with shock, bewildernt, disbelief, and a complex mix of emotions...
Her Father knew. He had known all along...
"Ge’er, Little Jiu has been back for so ti now. She’s risen to beco a powerful immortal in the Celestial Realm. I suspect she won’t stay ho for long. During this visit, she shared many stories about her years away."
Feng Xiao spoke softly. After pouring the wine, he sat before the stone tablet, one hand resting on the engraved na as he continued, "These years haven’t been easy for her!" Every single thing she went through was earth-shattering, and honestly, she was probably the only one who could have pulled it off!"
"Ge’er, even though you’re gone, seeing Little Jiu is like seeing you. Father has already lost one daughter, so all he can do now is hope she’s doing well."
"Everyone at ho is doing well. You needn’t worry down there. Your Little Uncle Feng Ye—Little Jiu said he’d take him to the Upper Immortal Realm to train and broaden his horizons. As for your Mother..."
Feng Jiu stood motionless. She listened to her father recounting her stories and family matters at the grave, as if chatting about everyday life. Yet, to her ears, it sounded bitterly sour.
How many years had passed since she reincarnated into Feng Qingge’s body? Since she beca a mber of the Feng family? She couldn’t even rember anymore.
Once, she had thought that perhaps soday in the future, she would tell the Feng family about this. Let them know that the real Feng Qingge had long since vanished.
