"Yunxiao Mountain is really hard to find. We’ve been circling around for so long and still haven’t found the path." Zheng Yuan said, glancing around. From afar, it was just a sea of mist and overlapping mountain silhouettes. It seed to be here, yet they couldn’t find the entrance.
"Looks like we’ll have to ask the Azure Emperor to guide us. Otherwise, we could search for three days and nights and still not find it," Yang Hao remarked, gazing toward the mist ahead. He felt certain Yunxiao Mountain lay beyond, yet they remained unable to draw near.
Seeing this, Shen Shiqi stepped forward. "I’ll handle it!" he declared, raising his voice toward the mist-shrouded area. "Azure Emperor! We are friends of Yun Qi. Concerned for her injuries, we have co to visit. Please grant us passage up the mountain!"
His voice, infused with spirit energy, echoed through the clouds, reaching the ears of the Azure Emperor and the others atop the mountain.
"It’s Shen Shiqi and the others," Yue’er smiled, clasping Mother’s hand. "Mother, they’re my friends."
Feng Jiu smiled. "It’s rare they’ve taken the trouble to see you. Since that’s the case, let them co up! My Father and I will step aside."
Though her words were directed at Yue’er, her gaze remained fixed on the Azure Emperor.
The Azure Emperor nodded in response, then waved his hand. To the group at the mountain’s base, he commanded, "Co up!"
The mont Shen Shiqi and the others at the foot of the mountain heard the voice, a mountain path materialized before them. Exchanging glances, they responded with a single word before swiftly ascending the slope.
Upon reaching the mountaintop, they found the Azure Emperor seated beneath a large tree, sipping tea and reading a book. Yun Qi lay on a soft couch, basking in the sunlight. After so many days apart, she appeared noticeably thinner. What pierced their hearts most was the complete absence of spirit energy within her...
"Shen Shiqi."
"Chen Tao."
"Zheng Yuan."
"Yang Hao."
"Greets Azure Emperor."
As they stepped forward to state their nas, they bowed respectfully to the Azure Emperor.
"Mm." The Azure Emperor glanced at them indifferently, responding with a faint acknowledgnt.
Yue’er, upon seeing them, smiled warmly, her eyes crinkling. Rising from the soft couch, she approached them. "What brings you here?"
"We ca to see you. We brought so dicinal pills and tonics to help you recuperate," Shen Shiqi said, retrieving the items from his spatial pouch.
"We brought dicinal pills and tonics too," the other three chid in, presenting their gifts to her.
Yue’er accepted them with a beaming smile. "Thank you all."
"How is your health? Are you feeling better? Can you manage getting out of bed and walking around like this?" Zheng Yuan inquired.
"My master gave so dicinal pills, and I feel much better now. It’s alright to walk around. After I returned, my master said I had been in a deep sleep for over half a month and only woke up two days ago. I’ve been lying down most of the day lately. Today the sun is just right, so I ca out to bask in it." She spoke cheerfully, gesturing to them, "Co, sit down."
Seeing the Azure Emperor still present, the group felt sowhat constrained. However, noticing he was engrossed in his book and hadn’t glanced their way, they moved the stone stools beside the soft couch to keep Yun Qi company.
"After your master took you away, Xiao Junyan was also brought back by his master’s family. By the way, has he co to see you?" Shen Shiqi asked.
"Not yet. I think Big Brother Xiao’s injuries might not have healed yet," Yue’er replied. After all, she had Mother’s dicinal pills, but Big Brother Xiao might not have had access to them.
