Chapter 1806: Chapter 628_3
Since Zhou Tian selected the nearby dangerous situation, given his speed, reaching that domain posed no challenge at all. As a result, within just a little over ten minutes of traveling at full speed, Zhou Tian arrived near the Gorge.
Like most other perilous terrains, in the Divine Realm, the majority of deities, due to their lack of strength, often dared not approach such dangerous places. Thus, as Zhou Tian neared the Gorge, he imdiately noticed that the number of deities in the vicinity had decreased significantly. It was clear that the deities nearby were overly fearful of the Gorge and avoided approaching that domain unless absolutely necessary.
Given the circumstances, with no other deities nearby, the atmosphere felt distinctly desolate as Zhou Tian approached the Gorge.
Of course, Zhou Tian wasn’t particularly concerned about the change. After all, his most important matter at present was figuring out a way to secure this hazardous area. If there had been too many deities in the vicinity, he would have had to consider how to silence them to ensure his safety.
Finding the area around the dangerous terrain rather quiet, Zhou Tian wasted no ti on unnecessary actions. After a mont of thought, he stepped directly into the Gorge.
However, the mont Zhou Tian set foot into the Gorge, he imdiately realized sothing was wrong.
“Who’s there?”
Even though he couldn’t sense any aura or energy fluctuations, Zhou Tian’s instincts told him he’d drawn soone’s attention the instant he entered the Gorge. As soon as that feeling of being watched arose, Zhou Tian’s heart tensed instinctively.
Zhou Tian was already exceedingly cautious. Knowing he was entering a dangerous situation, even the faintest sensation would have put him on high alert. Yet despite his wariness, he still encountered an attack so overwhelming that he could hardly resist.
“Ah!”
Though Zhou Tian had been on guard, at so point, he suddenly felt a weight on his neck. When he unconsciously reached to touch that spot, he discovered sothing unexpected—sothing was actually clinging to his neck.
The fact that he hadn’t noticed anything before feeling the ‘thing’ on his neck gave him a fright. Upon this realization, Zhou Tian imdiately launched an attack against the object on his neck. However…
Unfortunately, just as Zhou Tian prepared to strike, the creature clinging to his neck seed to sense that it wouldn’t be a match for him. It retreated of its own accord. After the creature withdrew, Zhou Tian had no choice but to cease his attack.
It was in the aftermath of the creature’s retreat that Zhou Tian made a horrifying discovery.
The mont prior, Zhou Tian had felt he was in peak condition. Yet after the creature left, Zhou Tian suddenly realized that his state was far worse than he had presud. If not for his tily discovery of the creature, he might very well have already died without even realizing it.
He couldn’t discern what tactics the creature had employed, but one thing was clear: it had succeeded in ‘deceiving’ him.
Just a minute ago, Zhou Tian felt like he was at his peak—his energy, mind, and body all in top form. But the mont the creature fled, Zhou Tian discovered severe blood loss. A significant amount of his divine blood had sohow vanished without his realizing it.
The revelation of his condition startled Zhou Tian imnsely.
Even ordinary people couldn’t ignore changes within their own bodies. For beings like Zhou Tian, injuries or illnesses aside, they could even track how many of their cells died each day if they wished. Given their abilities, it was almost inconceivable that they wouldn’t notice changes in their own bodies.
But now, even Zhou Tian, a deity capable of monitoring his cellular state, had failed to detect that he’d lost most of his divine blood. While it was evident that the creature had used so sort of ability, the re fact that this scenario could occur left Zhou Tian deeply shaken.
Without a doubt, the ability displayed by that creature was exceptionally eerie.
Not to boast, but given Zhou Tian’s capabilities, even if an ordinary deity used special thods against him, he might not fully resist the attack, but he would at least notice the changes in his body. Yet now, sothing that even a Divine King might fail to accomplish had happened to him unexpectedly. It was fortunate Zhou Tian hadn’t bolted imdiately in fear.
Of course, although the incident was undoubtedly bad news for Zhou Tian, he didn’t entirely walk away empty-handed.
