Chapter 1888: Chapter 647

Zhou Tian never had the idea of perishing together with his opponent, so if he truly had no confidence at all, he would never have stayed to fight. And since Zhou Tian made that move at the ti, it naturally represented that he was confident he could defeat those deities.

At the very least, Zhou Tian was confident he could guarantee his own safety, otherwise, with Zhou Tian’s personality, even if he had the ability to battle his opponent, he wouldn’t have stopped to engage in a hard fight with those deities.

So, where did Zhou Tian’s confidence co from?

The Divine Sword in his hand!

Although he didn’t know exactly what grade of weapon his Divine Sword was, based on past experiences, Zhou Tian was confident that it was at least of True God level. And, speaking of physical attacks, the Divine Sword felt like it even surpassed the performance that a True God level weapon should have.

In contrast, although the deity Zhou Tian attacked was quite wealthy, the most he could possibly equip was a Heavenly God weapon. After all, it’s not impossible for a Heavenly God to have a True God weapon, but True God weapons aren’t so widespread that everyone has one.

Therefore, maybe based on the wealth of that Heavenly God, he might have one or even several True God level pieces of equipnt, but as for weapons, the one in his hand was rely a Heavenly God level weapon.

As a result, attacking a Heavenly God weapon with one that might even surpass the True God level, it was clear that the deity’s weapon could not be a match for Zhou Tian’s Divine Sword.

It was precisely because he understood the significant advantage his weapon held that Zhou Tian was willing to take the risk of serious injury to seize the opportunity to attack his opponent.

Thus, under those circumstances, as Zhou Tian thrust his sword towards his opponent and the deity severely underestimated the power of Zhou Tian’s weapon, the outco seed almost inevitable.

No accident occurred, and based on those circumstances, the mont the deity underestimated Zhou Tian, his fate was sealed. As Zhou Tian thrust his sword towards him, the deity’s weapon failed to play its expected role, as if it were made of tofu; Zhou Tian felt no resistance as his full-strength sword pierced the opponent’s weapon, and by the ti the deity realized sothing was wrong and prepared to co up with a counterasure, he had already missed his last chance to dodge.

Consequently, there was no surprise when Zhou Tian’s sword succeeded in piercing the opponent’s heart.

Originally, given the Divine Sword’s power, Zhou Tian could have inflicted further damage when piercing the deity’s heart. However, due to the abilities of that dangerous situation’s environnt, Zhou Tian ultimately could not enhance the effect of his attack.

Even when the other deities realized what happened and attacked Zhou Tian, he was forced to quickly distance himself from the deity whose heart he had pierced. Given the deity’s abilities, rely having his heart pierced shouldn’t have been fatal.

Deities rely on rule-based abilities to be resilient like little cockroaches, and if they don’t have an overwhelming advantage in absolute strength to completely suppress their opponent’s rule-based abilities, it’s not easy to kill a deity. When evenly matched, defeated deities often end up in a ‘dead but not stiff’ situation.

Even deities with decent luck, even when ‘killed’ by their opponents, often have backup plans that allow them to resurrect in the future.

Given the deities’ tenacity, Zhou Tian’s attack would normally find it difficult to kill that deity. If the deity’s rule-based ability happened to counter this situation, Zhou Tian’s sword might not have had any effect at all.

However, due to the environntal impact, Zhou Tian’s originally ineffective attack achieved a surprisingly good effect.

It was because of the special environnt of that dangerous situation that Zhou Tian’s attack, which could have caused more damage, ended up rely piercing the deity’s heart. And, given those circumstances, the weapon Zhou Tian wielded, at least of True God level power, could not display its full potential, and no matter what abilities the deity he was dealing with had, being in that perilous environnt ant he couldn’t fully exert his abilities.

No surprise then, under those conditions, when the deity couldn’t wield his rule-based abilities, he was no different from ordinary living beings. And even for those with strong life force, survival isn’t really possible when the heart is mostly pierced.

Given those circumstances, when the deity couldn’t unleash his power, Zhou Tian’s sword pierced his heart, aning the deity couldn’t survive.
