Chapter 2215: Chapter 728_4
Under those circumstances, the best choice for the Heavenly Gods would have been to take action and eliminate those Deities who had been heavily wounded. By doing so, without the presence of those already injured Heavenly Gods, undoubtedly, the remaining unhard ones would face far fewer competitors.
Unfortunately, if there had been only one Heavenly God unscathed at the ti, it could be almost certain that this would have been their course of action. However, there were quite a few low-key and not exceptionally powerful Heavenly Gods, and as a result of the chaotic battle earlier on, the few strongest Heavenly Gods drew most of the firepower, allowing a few fortunate ones to remain unscathed.
Thus, because there was more than one unhard Heavenly God at that ti, even though the Deities clearly knew the benefits of killing the injured Heavenly Gods, they still did not plan on doing so.
After all, reducing the number of competitors is a good thing, but the purpose for these Deities visiting this ti wasn’t rely to kill Gods. If they couldn’t acquire the blood monkey, then even if they killed all the Invading Deities, they would still face certain death upon returning.
So, as long as there was any chance that their goal of seizing the blood monkey could be affected, those unhard Heavenly Gods would not touch those matters at the ti.
Undoubtedly, it would not have been difficult for those unhard Heavenly Gods to kill the injured opponents, but if they truly dared to do so, they would have to be prepared for the possibility of losing the opportunity to seize the blood monkey.
After all, even heavily wounded, those injured Heavenly Gods still had so capacity for resistance. No one could guarantee that during the killing of the injured Heavenly Gods, the others wouldn’t get hurt in retaliation. And if they also got injured at that ti, obtaining the blood monkey would naturally be much more challenging.
Moreover, although killing other Deities would help them in seizing the blood monkey, no matter who acted that way, they couldn’t guarantee that other uninjured Deities wouldn’t take action to seize the blood monkey simultaneously.
At the mont, it’s just because they knew anyone who took action would face the attacks of other Deities, so when the blood monkey appeared, none of the Deities acted to seize it. Should they focus on killing injured Deities and soone else acted to seize the blood monkey, while it would still draw the attacks of other Deities, in that environnt, if any Heavenly God had certain tactics, forcefully seizing the blood monkey wasn’t impossible.
It was precisely because they understood the potential harms of daring to do such a thing that, even though they knew how beneficial it would be to reduce a competitor, no Deity dared to act recklessly under those circumstances.
During ordinary tis, maintaining such a balance would probably prevent anyone from acting recklessly, and based on that situation, this affair might very well end without incident.
But evidently, under those circumstances, wanting to maintain that balance indefinitely was sothing that most Deities wouldn’t agree to. Even knowing that breaking the balance would lead most of their mbers to perish in the ensuing conflict, those Deities still had no choice but to proceed. (To be continued.
