Capítulo 2541: Chapter 809: (Part 3)

As a result, with a dull thud, Zhou Tian’s sneak attack didn’t even co close to killing the Space God King, he couldn’t even injure him, as a space barrier thwarted his efforts.

Undoubtedly, the resulting situation was quite a blow to the morale of Zhou Tian’s side.

After witnessing Zhou Tian’s confrontation with the Space God King, even a fool could have seen at that ti that compared to the Space God King, Zhou Tian’s strength was significantly weaker.

Previously, while the True Gods under Zhou Tian didn’t have much fighting spirit, they still had certain expectations of him. After all, Zhou Tian had previously killed a Divine King, and even though he borrowed the power of other True Gods, Zhou Tian was still seen as being nearly equivalent to a King Level Deity in the eyes of his subordinates.

Currently, those True Gods didn’t care how powerful the Space God King was; they only saw him as an ordinary Divine King. When facing the Space God King, Zhou Tian’s performance clearly showed he was no match, causing his True God subordinates to lose any courage to engage in battle against the Space God King.

Since Zhou Tian was no longer a match for the Space God King, none of his True God subordinates believed themselves capable of taking him on either. Thus, even those True Gods who originally intended to fight the Space God King lost their resolve after witnessing Zhou Tian’s performance.

If Zhou Tian couldn’t defeat the Space God King, then how could they have any effect?

Of course, their attacks could have so effect, but sending them to deal with the Space God King seed to those True Gods like a suicide mission, with little chance of victory.

Perhaps with their continuous attacks on the Space God King, Zhou Tian might eventually manage to kill him, but the cost in True Gods’ lives would be unknown.

Undoubtedly, due to his previous achievents, Zhou Tian could barely command his True God subordinates at present. Yet, no matter how controlled they seed, he couldn’t truly turn them into loyal followers. Thus, ordering them on dangerous missions might not truly elicit their dedication, despite any surface compliance.

Zhou Tian was keenly aware of all these dynamics at the ti.

If defeating the Space God King was possible, Zhou Tian would have acted directly, rather than sending his True God subordinates to their deaths. He foresaw the scenario, so he first ordered his True Gods to attack, not expecting them to overco the Space God King but rely to weaken his strength, which would fulfill his goal.

Unfortunately, despite Zhou Tian’s sound strategy, the execution fell short as his True God subordinates didn’t perform as hoped during the actual action.

Instead of his True God subordinates depleting the Space God King’s power as planned, Zhou Tian found himself needing to support them. Facing that scenario, Zhou Tian would have preferred not to be concerned with their fate if there was another option.

Unfortunately, to overco and potentially kill the Space God King, Zhou Tian inevitably required the help of those True Gods. Thus, beyond his own safety, Zhou Tian had to ensure the safety of his True God subordinates. Even if casualties occurred, they couldn’t disrupt his plans.

Consequently, even though he didn’t want to fight against the Space God King, Zhou Tian had to step forward because his True God subordinates were not opponents for the Space God King.

However, much like his initial reluctance, even bravely stepping forward did not change the outco in that hostile environnt.

After all, Zhou Tian wasn’t a match for the Space God King!

Because Zhou Tian was no match for the Space God King, although his presence did reduce his True God subordinates’ casualties, his performance significantly undermined his side’s morale. Now, increasingly feeling the enemy’s strength, the True Gods, no longer confident in their chances, were considering fleeing.

Nonetheless, while the Space God King’s impact seriously disrupted Zhou Tian’s plan, it indirectly benefited him, as the Space God King’s display had unintended consequences.

The Space God King didn’t entirely trust Zhou Tian’s True Gods, thus intending to eliminate them along with Zhou Tian. But the Space God King never expected that Zhou Tian’s True Gods were genuinely unwilling to engage in that fight.
