It’s not that the high levels of the Human Race have no other ideas, but the issue at hand has escalated too much, and the impact of this matter cannot be ignored by the high levels of the Human Race. So, no matter what they’re thinking, once the matter surfaces, if the ’culprit’ is indeed identified, and the other party doesn’t provide an explanation, the high levels of the Human Race fear they can’t remain in their positions unless they declare war.
The current problem is that if they have the ability, for the sake of this matter, the Human Race would not hesitate to fight the Beastman Tribe. But does the Human Race currently have that power?
Obviously, considering the circumstances at the ti, no matter how angry the high levels of the Human Race were, they wouldn’t dare to provoke the Beastman Tribe.
It’s simple: the Beastn bullying the Human Race has never required any reason.
Given that the Beastman Tribe in the current world is much stronger than the Human Race, just resisting the Beastman Tribe’s attack to avoid genocide is already giving the high levels of the Human Race a headache. Therefore, as long as the Beastman Tribe doesn’t attack them, it’s considered a good thing, and who among the Human Race high levels would have the courage to interrogate the other party now?
Moreover, even if they interrogate, it would hold no aning. The Beastman Tribe doesn’t need to deny anything at all. Even if a Beastman expert admits that they killed Human experts, what’s the difference?
Based on the relative strength of the two races at that ti, the Human Race only had the ability to resist but not to counterattack. Even under those circumstances, no matter how angry they were at what the Beastn did, do they really want to trigger a war between the two races?
An opportunity for victory could still make it bearable, but the problem now is, based on the circumstances at that ti, from every perspective, if a war started between the two races, the Human Race doesn’t stand a chance. If a war is really ignited, it’s likely the Human Race will face extinction.
Considering the great disparity in strength between the Human Race and Beastman Tribe, even if the high levels of the Human Race suspected the Beastman Tribe was responsible, they were still afraid to make any moves. Because they feared that if this matter triggered a war and led to an even worse situation, or direct extinction, they’d end up being criminals.
Even if the Beastman Tribe exterminated a part of their experts, while it would weaken their race’s strength, as long as the foundation remains, they’d still have the ability to resist Beastn invasion. This tactic, although stifling, was viewed by the high levels of the Human Race as a ans of self-preservation.
But just when the high levels of the Human Race were prepared to compromise due to concerns over the Beastman Tribe’s strength, they overlooked the impact of this event. Due to the event’s influence, there’s no longer any possibility for the high levels of the Human Race to avoid war.
No one spread their guesses outside, so those high levels of the Human Race were self-assured when they made their decisions. In their view, their decisions were error-free. As long as they followed their decisions, no problems would arise.
But when those high levels of the Human Race were making their decisions, they seed to overlook that others might suspect the Beastman Tribe.
In fact, apart from the Human Race, the most powerful at the ti was the Beastman Tribe. Unlike the high levels of the Human Race, even angels within the Human Race wouldn’t suspect much, but when their experts died en masse, most mbers of the Human Race believed it was a tactic of the Beastman Tribe to weaken them, and that with their strength severely depleted, the ti for Beastman invasion might soon follow.
Regardless of whether the Beastman Tribe shows signs of invading the Human Race or if the Human Race can contend against them, when the situation arose, calls for retaliating against the Beastman Tribe intensified. Not everyone has a broad perspective, but given their relationship, when they discovered the Beastn might have killed many of their experts, most civilians of the Human Race were undeniably angry and ready to fight.
Of course, if it were only civilians clamoring for revenge against the Beastn and directly demanding the high levels to order a counterattack, the high levels might not take it seriously. They know civilian emotions are fleeting, and though this incident stirred public outrage, if they suppress it, ti might lead civilians to forget their demands.
Moreover, even if most civilians continually demand orders for counterattack, as long as the high levels don’t issue such orders, their anger wouldn’t translate into action. Those civilians understand the disparity between the Human Race and Beastman Tribe, and without experts leading them, they wouldn’t undertake such dangerous actions.
Thus, if only civilian demands for revenge were directed at the high levels, they likely wouldn’t take it seriously, since from their perspective, their decisions aren’t swayed by civilian demands.
The problem is, the pressure felt by those high levels doesn’t just co from civilians. Despite their reluctance to start a war with the Beastman Tribe, faced with such pressure, so mbers wavered.
It’s not that those high levels couldn’t uphold their decisions, but they faced enormous pressure. When avoiding such decisions might lead to lost positions or life-threatening situations, even though they clearly knew that in direct combat against the Beastman Tribe, victory was unlikely, many still ordered counterattacks.
Firstly, if war hasn’t been fought, then theoretically, defeat is certain, but concluding based on theory without true occurrence is unwise. If the Human Race performs well and the Beastman Tribe encounters so trouble, victory might be attainable.
Although hopes aren’t high, what if the Human Race wins?
When pressure grows to such an extent, the high levels often can’t help but feel the urge to gamble. In such a state, if nothing unexpected happens, many high levels are likely considering a gamble.
The reason is simple: the deceased aren’t ordinary.
Though Zhou Tian claid to be a mber of the Human Camp, when he truly intended to target Human experts, he didn’t hold back at all. Hence, when Zhou Tian acted to kill them, the killed individuals unquestionably had so level of power. At least in that world or within the Human Race, those people’s strength was certainly at the peak realm.
Undoubtedly, people of such strength have identities that aren’t simple at all! (To be continued. If you like the work, you’re welco to vote for it with recomndation or monthly tickets on Qidian (qidian). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users should visit m.qidian to read.)
