"You're saying the Jerry appeared on Level 9?"

Yang Tao, who was grilling and fishing by the pool, reeled in his fishing rod and looked at Eric, who had rushed back from the Backrooms.

Eric sat directly on the wooden board next to Yang Tao and said, "M.E.G. personnel ca to and told that all of Jerry's followers have been freed from control. Although the brainwashing effect still exists, there's no longer that special power influencing them."

"And they learned from a Jerry follower found on Level 2 that you had a conflict with Jerry. They want to understand the specific situation."

Yang Tao put away his fishing rod, took out a bucket of milk and a bottle of Almond water from his backpack, and handed them to Eric, saying with a smile, "You drink these two things first."

Eric was stunned for a mont but quickly understood Yang Tao's aning. He took the milk and Almond water, poured them into his mouth, and then said with a smile, "Tonight's dinner is saved again."

"Hmm, M.E.G.… they truly are the most well-staffed organization in the Backrooms. Their information is indeed precise."

Yang Tao stood up and looked at Eric, saying, "The level where that bird was located has been stripped by using so special ans. Now, it should have beco an ordinary Entity."

"However… that guy's ntal control ability should still be there, at most not as strong as before."

"Eric, if M.E.G. wants information from you, make them offer suitable bargaining chips."

Suddenly, Yang Tao rembered the IOU left from saving soone earlier. He took it out of his backpack and handed it to Eric, saying, "This is what M.E.G. owes . Tell them to send the items to you when they have ti."

Eric took the IOU doubtfully, looked at it, and then said with a wry smile, "Alright, leave this matter to ."

"What about that bird?"

"Of course, I'll find it… but is there anything special about Level 9? What would make this bird run there?"

Yang Tao thought hard but couldn't figure it out, so he simply stopped considering the matter.

"Eric, you go back first. I'm going to prepare to find that parrot. I won't feel at ease with it alive."

Eric: "..."

If I'm not mistaken, what you're grilling on the barbecue is a parrot, right?

Eric left with the information and the IOU. Yang Tao took the almost-cooked Jerry clone off the grill and walked towards the box while eating.

'This Jerry tastes really good. It's worthy of a creature with ten thousand HP. With this chewy texture, those with bad teeth might not even be able to bite through it.'

The only pity was that it wasn't handled well; it wasn't marinated enough.

He opened the box and rummaged through it.

Soon, he found what he was looking for.

Cookies.

In Minecraft, the cookie is like a deadly poison to parrots.

As long as the Jerry is a parrot, it will die imdiately upon eating the cookie, though it will display a poisoning particle effect.

"Uh… I'll still bring so seeds. If I can ta it, I'll give it a way out. If I can't ta it… then I'll treat it to a cookie."

With his supplies ready, Yang Tao prepared to go to Level 9 to see if he could encounter the Jerry, and also make a stop at other levels along the way.

Pushing open the wooden door to Level 6, the 'Lights Out' level, it was still in disco mode. The Lost One was being forcibly controlled at the critical point between mutation and non-mutation.

"Tsk tsk…"

Bang…

A shot hit the Lost One, instantly clearing its HP bar.

"I'm still too kind. If it were anyone else, they'd drag you away for research."

After helping this Lost One find release, Yang Tao turned off the high-frequency redstone machine. He couldn't help it; it was too dazzling.

Yang Tao simply turned on the lights, carried his shotgun, and walked outside. Soon, so mutated Lost Ones who sensed his presence roared and ca towards his location.

Bang… Bang…

Those mutated Lost Ones ran much faster than Usain Bolt, but no matter how fast they were, they weren't faster than bullets.

Yang Tao could be said to be one shot, one kill, giving off a feeling of killing one person in ten steps and leaving no trace for a thousand miles.

Bang…

After more than ten minutes, Yang Tao arrived at a special place.

In front of him was pitch-black darkness, and the light emitted by the incandescent lamp above his head could not illuminate the dark corridor at all.

In the sa corridor, light and darkness were clearly separated, giving a feeling of well water not mixing with river water.

"It seems Level 6 doesn't just have one switch."

Yang Tao didn't hesitate, drank a bottle of Night Vision Potion, and stepped into the darkness. A non-mutated, transparent Lost One was wandering in the hallway.

Yang Tao didn't hesitate at all. He raised his gun, aid at this idle Lost One, and pulled the trigger. A cluster of bullets shot out from the muzzle, hitting its transparent body.

A surge of fla flashed and disappeared. The Lost One didn't even have ti to react before it turned into a speck of light and vanished into the dark corridor.

Yang Tao walked forward and collected the experience points scattered on the ground into his body.

"Not mutating is really a loss; it doesn't even leave a body to exchange for energy points…"

At least a Lost One that has transford into an Entity can have its corpse exchanged for so energy points, but a Lost One in ghost form leaves nothing behind after death.

Unlike ordinary Wanderers who slowly explore by touching walls, Yang Tao charged straight ahead, recalling the abstract map information he had seen on the walls.

After using two bottles of Night Vision Potion, Yang Tao heard a faint sound of waves coming from the depths of the tunnel ahead.

"Found it!"

In the incredibly silent Level 6, if you hear the sound of waves, it ans you have arrived at the entrance to Level 7.

Yang Tao couldn't help but quicken his pace. As he went deeper, the sound of waves beca clearer and clearer. After turning a corner, he saw a small stairwell at the end of the hallway.

It looked very similar to a stairwell in an apartnt building.

Yang Tao climbed up the stairwell. After climbing about three or four stories high, he reached the top floor of the stairwell, where there was an open door.

The sound of the waves ca from inside the door.

"Level 7… I wonder if there's anything good here."

He stepped into the room. As he passed through the doorfra, he felt as if he had passed through an invisible film. The previously faint sound of waves suddenly beca clear.

Looking back at the way he ca, it had already disappeared.

The entrance room was fully furnished. A bookshelf leaned against the left wall, containing several books of unknown origin; in addition, there was a small coffee table, a chair, and a fluorescent hanging lamp.

The carpeted floor was covered with a shallow layer of water, similar in depth to a puddle.

"A flooded room, alright…"

After confirming that there was nothing valuable around, Yang Tao looked towards the vast ocean in front of him.
