Great Elder The Second Elder headed straight towards the Great Elder’s alchemy room on the third floor.
He hesitated for a long while before finally knocking on the door……
After quite a while, there was no response.
Just as the Second Elder was beginning to think that the Great Elder might not be in, there was a sudden “bang…” from inside.
Imdiately after, a grizzled, sooty-faced old man rushed out shouting at the Second Elder, “Why the hell are you knocking at my door?
My damn Elixir has exploded in the furnace because of your knocking…..”
The Second Elder remained silent….
He was no longer surprised by the Great Elder blaming soone else whenever his pill refining fails!
Whoever disturbs the Great Elder during his refining process is the culprit….
He rued forgetting that the Great Elder was refining pills at the ti, or he would have died than choose this ti to disturb him….
“Great Elder, I didn’t co to see you for nothing, I really didn’t expect you to fail in refining again…” said the Second Elder helplessly.
“What do you an by saying I failed in refining again?
I was clearly disturbed by you…” the Great Elder retorted angrily.
He’d been refining this Elixir countless tis now, failing quicker each ti before the last.
He’d though of giving up, but after nearly a year spent refining, he was so close yet felt so far from being successful.
And although he was familiar with the process, sothing always goes wrong during the condensation phase….
“Ahem, Great Elder, the thing is, the Third Elder and few others…” The Second Elder, not wanting to argue with the Great Elder, reported about the situation of Third Elder and others….
He knew that aside from alchemy, the Great Elder was fascinated by various rare and complex diseases, and the more untreatable the illness, the more interested he was….
As expected, upon hearing the Second Elder’s words, the Great Elder woke up imdiately.
He did not care about the specific situation the Second Elder had ntioned but latched onto the fact that the Third Elder and others were unconscious and that, the Second Elder was not able to identify the issue….
“Really?
If that’s the case, let us hurry over and take a look.
Even though it would be better if the Third Elder died, the disciples are innocent…” Great Elder quipped, pretending to be serious.
If Third Elder heard the Great Elder’s words, he’d be angry enough to die.
What does he an by ‘it would be better if he died’, and ‘the disciples are innocent’.
After all, he is an Elder……
The Second Elder was well aware that the Great Elder hadn’t taken in all of his words….
However, that wasn’t important as long as the Great Elder goes over there, he believed the issue would be resolved eventually….
“Great Elder, do you want to change your clothes first?” The Second Elder asked diplomatically after looking at the Great Elder.
“Saving people is more urgent, why the rush to change clothes?
Let’s hurry up and go…..” the Great Elder replied, a little discontented.
He wouldn’t even bother if he wasn’t curious about the strange diseases that the Third Elder and others had contracted.
He found it troubleso that he was even being asked to change his clothes……
The Second Elder didn’t know what else to say, so he led the Great Elder directly to the second floor.
The Third Elder and others had already been taken to the room where Mo Jiuli and her group were….
Yun Xia was overwheld with panic looking at the unconscious Third Elder and the calm Mo Jiuli.
She had voiced her concerns many tis, but Mo Jiuli had no intention of leaving, so she was helpless….
Mo Jiuli reassured her, saying that if she was scared, she could leave first, promising that if possible, she would get the Great Elder of the Alchemy Guild to treat her father’s illness….
