Zhang Bin indeed sensed that the situation was dire.
Tutu spoke nervously, "This is bad. There are 5,008 Genetically Enhanced Humans in this base, including fifteen SSS-level ones. And that doesn't even count the three SSS-level individuals hunting you. Now, they've all gone to intercept China's masters. As powerful as they are, they definitely won't be able to hold out against them."
Damn it, the Aricans have gone mad, creating so many SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans. Who knows how many more are outside this base?
It was only then that he truly understood that the disaster of the Genetically Enhanced Humans was not impending—it had already arrived.
Perhaps the Genetically Enhanced Humans around the world have already united, just waiting for the right mont to erupt. The only reason they haven't struck yet is their fear of China's powerful Cultivators and the nurous Superpower Users scattered across the globe. They must feel their strength isn't yet enough to overthrow the world's governnts.
But in reality, the terrifying power of the Genetically Enhanced Humans in this base alone was enough to lay waste to all of Arica.
His expression changed drastically as he shouted anxiously, "Hurry! Change your route and go this way! There are fifteen SSS-level and over five thousand SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans coming for you!"
Of course, his voice echoed almost simultaneously in the earpieces of Zhao Dawei and the others.
"What? There are that many SSS and SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans?"
Zhao Dawei was shocked. Zhou Tianyu and Zhang Hangkui, two supre masters, were equally stunned. Fear was written all over their faces.
With such power on the enemy's side, especially ard with advanced Thermal Weapons, how could their small force of a hundred-odd masters, with only two at the Nascent Soul Stage, possibly hope to resist?
"Why retreat along this route?" Zhao Dawei imdiately asked anxiously.
"Because this is the fastest route to a sector the Aricans haven't occupied," Zhang Bin explained. "We can use its traps and Thermal Weapons against them. Better yet, we can use the sector's own defenses and fortifications. It's our only chance to escape. Otherwise, we'll all die here."
"No, no, no! We must acquire the Genetic Enhancent technology!" Zhao Dawei and the others shouted frantically in unison. "We're not trying to escape."
They knew full well that failing to acquire the Genetic Enhancent technology ant mission failure. Even if they escaped, they wouldn't survive for more than three years before Arica's countless Genetically Enhanced Humans annihilated them.
"If you listen to , you can still get the Genetic Enhancent technology!" Zhang Bin yelled urgently. "Don't worry, I can get it through hacking. But we need to go deeper, into the core of the base, to an area the Aricans haven't captured… Hurry, they're coming!"
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Sure enough, the sound of urgent footsteps echoed from the distance as a series of doors flew open. Thousands of armored, weapon-wielding Genetically Enhanced Humans charged out, radiating a murderous aura. The dozen or so Genetically Enhanced Humans at the very front were exceptionally ferocious, their killing intent a palpable, terrifying aura.
"All of you, go! I'll hold them off!" Zhou Tianyu's expression hardened as he opened his mouth and spewed forth a torrent of flas that engulfed the corridor.
WHOOSH!
The flas raged, turning the corridor into a sea of fire. The temperature was so high that even tal began to lt.
"You're courting death!" the largest and most ferocious-looking Genetically Enhanced Human roared, spewing a torrential flood from his mouth to et the blaze.
Instantly, the flas and the flood collided.
BOOM!
A cataclysmic explosion rocked the entire base as if the world were ending. The entire structure shook, and countless instrunts tumbled to the ground. Yet the flas were not extinguished; they continued to burn fiercely. The floodwater instantly vaporized, turning into a cloud of scorching steam. The remaining water boiled violently, gurgling with a terrifying sound.
Miraculously, the deluge didn't spread. It ford a solid wall against the fire, preventing it from advancing. Otherwise, while the SSS-level individuals might have survived, the SS-level ones behind them would have died horribly. However, since the water failed to extinguish the flas, it was clear that this powerful SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Human was still no match for a genuine Nascent Soul Stage Master like Zhou Tianyu.
"Freeze!" another SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Human bellowed, white mist jetting from his nostrils.
In the blink of an eye, the mist spread over the water, its temperature plumting until it turned to solid ice. The flas didn't die out, though. They continued to burn wildly within the ice, gradually pushing forward. The fire was shrinking, however, and showed signs of dying out.
"Let's go!" Zhao Dawei and the others were overjoyed. With the wall of ice and fire holding their enemies back, they could escape into the passage Zhang Bin had indicated.
They fled as fast as lightning. Even Zhou Tianyu retreated imdiately, vanishing into the passage, as he had no desire to fight so many powerful SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans at once.
It was an inconspicuous passage, surprisingly located within the wall. Zhang Bin had, of course, instructed Tutu to open it. The Aricans had never discovered such a passage before.
Soon, they were all inside, sprinting away.
The mont Zhou Tianyu retreated, the flas imdiately went out. The powerful Genetically Enhanced Humans quickly dispelled the ice and resud their pursuit with murderous intent. They too charged into the passage within the wall.
Leading the charge, of course, were the fifteen suprely powerful SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans. They feared no enemy, no matter how powerful, nor did they fear any trap.
Actually, the reason the Aricans had not swiftly developed the entire base was to avoid damaging the equipnt and technological data inside. Therefore, they adopted a gradual approach, slowly studying and digesting a certain amount of technological content before continuing to advance. Now, however, they had to cast such concerns aside. The intruders had to be exterminated.
To the absolute fury of the Arican Genetically Enhanced Humans, as they chased through the passage, heavy doors would periodically slam down from the ceiling, blocking their path.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The walls suddenly sprouted countless holes from which dense rows of gun muzzles appeared, firing a hail of deadly bullets. This passage, for whatever reason, was remarkably well-preserved and ard to the teeth with traps, chanisms, and an overabundance of Thermal Weapons.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The fifteen SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans were terrifyingly powerful, wielding their weapons deftly to ward off such attacks. The approximately five hundred SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans following behind, however, could not. One by one, they were riddled with bullets.
They died horribly. The passage had beco a blood-soaked abattoir, a true Shura's hell.
