"Why are you being so formal?" Zhang Bin asked.
"That’s why I agreed to co to this banquet with you, to be your shield," Liu Ruoi said. "But you clearly didn’t use up much True Qi. Or even if you did, you still had plenty of combat strength left. Yet you didn’t say anything, forcing to publicly announce that I’m your girlfriend. Now my reputation is ruined."
"How is it ruined? I, Zhang Bin, am handso and dashing, tall and powerful, with invincible skills. You announcing you’re my girlfriend is a credit to you. How could that possibly ruin your reputation?" Zhang Bin said, stunned.
Liu Ruoi was so angry she nearly coughed up blood. She had hoped Zhang Bin would at least apologize and show so remorse, which might have offset the debt of gratitude her family owed him. But from his perspective, he’d done *her* an even bigger favor, since she was the one benefiting from his reputation.
"You... you... get out of the car right now!" Liu Ruoi could no longer contain her fury and scread.
"I’m ho anyway, so of course I’m getting out," Zhang Bin muttered as he stepped out of the car. "Thanks for the ride ho."
For so reason, the anger inside Liu Ruoi flared up uncontrollably. She had been bottling up her frustrations all evening and was about to explode. She shoved the car door open, rushed out, and yelled, "Zhang Bin, stop right there!"
Zhang Bin stopped and turned around, looking at her in surprise, completely clueless as to why she was so angry.
"Zhang Bin, I’m warning you. Don’t you dare ruin my sister, or I’ll fight you to the death," Liu Ruoi said, her tone icy.
"What are you talking about?" Zhang Bin was taken aback.
"It was bad enough that you ruined Bingbing and Xiao Fang. Don’t you dare ruin my sister! Promise , or I’ll fight you right here, right now," Liu Ruoi said.
"When did I ever ruin Bingbing? You’re being irrational and making a scene. I can’t be bothered with you," Zhang Bin said, frustrated. Not wanting to argue with her, he turned to leave.
"Don’t you walk away!"
Liu Ruoi pounced on him, tackling him to the grass. But how could she be a match for Zhang Bin? In an instant, he had turned the tables and pinned her firmly beneath him. Liu Ruoi tried with all her might but couldn’t break free. Defeated, she finally gave up and pleaded, "Zhang Bin, my sister is already miserable enough because of her arranged marriage. So, if you must ruin soone, then ruin instead."
"Ruin you?"
Zhang Bin was completely and utterly shocked.
