The numbers on the test apparatus had nearly reached 90% brain power when it abruptly stopped climbing.
Yuan Huan narrowed his eyes. He was waiting for the final result with great anticipation when the numbers suddenly stopped moving. He raised his head and realized that the young woman lying on the bed had already regained consciousness.
This made no sense. He had drugged her, but she regained consciousness in just 30 minutes.
Yuan Huan narrowed his eyes as he turned the black ring on his index finger reflexively. He swiftly pulled out a gun with his other hand and pointed it at Huo Yao. “I can’t believe you woke up so soon.”
Huo Yao disregarded the gun in Yuan Huan’s hand and got off the bed. She glanced at the apparatus and a murderous look emerged in her eyes.

She was always puzzled about Yuan Huan’s deep interest in her. From the looks of it, he had his eyes on her from the moment she revealed her talent in the laboratory.
Even though she had done her best to conceal her intelligence, if he took the time to analyze the database she had built, he could still reach the same conclusion.
She had always hated the smell of medical solution lingering on Yuan Huan. When she first detected it, she should have kept her distance from him.
“I must say you’re one ballsy woman,” said Yuan Huan as he trained the gun at Huo Yao’s chest. Even though she was unarmed, he did not let down his guard. “Too bad you’re now in my hands.”
Yuan Huan tapped on the trigger gently. Since they were in an enclosed space, it could be heard loudly.
Huo Yao’s face looked pale, but she spoke confidently. “Oh really? I think you have some kind of a death wish.”
Yuan Huan stood up from the chair and approached Huo Yao slowly with the gun trained on her. “You can say all you want, but do you have it in you to stop me? If I want to shoot you, do you think you’re capable of stopping me?”
Huo Yao stood motionless as Yuan Huan approached her. She watched him placing the black gun on her forehead but said nothing. She was so calm that it seemed as though he was holding a toy gun.
Huo Yao was pletely fearless. Yuan Huan smiled and was deeply intrigued. This young woman was far more interesting than he had ever expected.
She was very calm and posed. He wondered how she managed to achieve this level of confidence.
Even if she was a posed young woman, she had fallen into his hands, so it was just a matter of time before he wore her confidence down.
The two of them looked at each other quietly for a few moments. Yuan Huan paused and said, “Oh yes. I forgot to mention something. I know you are close to Min Yu. Are you waiting for him to save you?”
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes and didn’t respond. She waited to see what Yuan Huan had to say further.
“Sadly, he will never show up.” Yuan Huan shook his head.
Min Yu ought to have shown up at the address he had sent him by now. Perhaps he had already been apprehended by his men.
Huo Yao could tell that Yuan Huan was speaking with underlying meaning. She had remained calm all this time, but she suddenly narrowed her eyes and asked angrily. “Did you try to touch him?”
Since everything was within Yuan Huan’s control, he openly admitted it. “To be precise, you turned out to be a pleasant surprise.”
After all, his original target was Min Yu. He happened to use the young woman as a part of his scheme and inadvertently discovered her phenomenal brain power.
She had very high brain power. If he could take her back to the base for research, he might be able to create the perfect mutant.
