"You all stay here, I'll go et him alone."
Loren understood very well that anyone capable of doing such things, the mastermind behind the Bloodline Rebels, was definitely a madman. Loren couldn't be entirely sure what he might do. In the end, when Loren went out, he only took one crow that Movila had split off.
In fact, Loren thought he might do sothing like strapping explosives all over his body. So, when heading out, Loren increased the yield of the explosives on his person.
"Long have I heard of your great na, Master ntor."
Outside the door, Loren t that person. He had co directly through the main entrance, so his public identity was very clean, even clean enough to bypass the Night Watchers and vampires guarding Loren.
Loren sized him up from head to toe. He was dressed very plainly, his hair was a bit ssy, he wore glasses, and he hadn't even trimd his stubble.
If forced to describe him, he looked like the guy whose photo was always hanging on the honor wall back in Loren's high school days. The kind where if he chose 'E' on a multiple-choice test, Loren would copy it.
Moreover, his ntal state didn't seem very good, quite similar to Noah whom Loren had t before.
"You're the person I'm supposed to et?"
"Yes, my na is Aisaco, a Vampire Count."
His term for vampires was simply 'vampire,' which indicated his stance and attitude.
"Good, I haven't had breakfast yet, so let's find a place to eat and chat."
Loren's idea was to keep him away from the children, lest they get caught in the blast if he decided to self-destruct.
"As you wish."
Though called an inn, the place Loren was staying at was more like a luxurious grand hotel. It also had an upscale restaurant with private rooms. Both Loren and Aisaco were important figures, and the hotel's arrangents for them were extrely thorough, directly preparing a private room for them and handing the nu to Loren. They clearly understood who held the higher status.
Loren first ordered many desserts and other foods the children liked, having the attendant deliver them to their room, before starting to order for himself.
Loren didn't have many requirents for his own al, casually ordering a steak before passing the nu to Aisaco.
"I'm curious, why are you rebelling against vampires? Your status isn't low, is it?"
Before speaking, Loren casually cast a Shielding Spell, which had beco a subconscious action for him.
Aisaco was a Vampire Count. While not comparable to top-tier figures like Ofemia, there weren't many Counts among all vampires. He could basically strut around unimpeded.
"My position is one I seized. I was just an ordinary person at first, later turned into a vampire. I climbed all the way here from being a common vampire."
For a vampire's bloodline to advance, they either had to wait for a higher-ranking vampire to grant them the Embrace, or directly kill a vampire one rank higher in bloodline and drain their blood.
So, for Aisaco to go from a common vampire to a Vampire Count, he must have killed at least a Baron, a Viscount, and a Count.
"Three hundred and fifty-two years ago, I was still an ordinary person. That day was my wedding. I loved my wife dearly. Before my friends and family, we were about to form a new family, a happy life was about to begin. Then, a vampire appeared."
He could have said three hundred years ago, or three hundred and fifty years ago, but he specifically said three hundred and fifty-two years ago. This event was etched into his bones. Loren patiently listened as Aisaco recounted his experience.
"That vampire wore a mask and a black robe. I couldn't see anything clearly. Just like that, before my eyes, he killed my beloved, and killed all my relatives and friends. But he deliberately spared , and even turned into a vampire. I still rember his smile to this day."
"..."
The opportunities for a vampire to grant the Embrace were precious. Many nobles were willing to pay a huge price to beco vampires, but the arrogant vampires simply looked down on these nobles.
Yet that vampire so casually wasted his chance to grant the Embrace. Loren could guess his thoughts, but found them hard to believe. He simply did it to watch Aisaco suffer.
Killing everyone Aisaco loved and who loved him, then greatly extending his lifespan, plunging him into endless tornt. Even followers of the God of Pain didn't play like this. This seed more like the handiwork of a Pleasure Believer.
"I know nothing about him. Gender, age, rank... completely unknown. So, I chose to kill all vampires."
"That's certainly one thod."
Loren expressed agreent with Aisaco. If Loren had an enemy hiding in a certain city and couldn't find him, Loren would also destroy the entire city.
"After that, the sole purpose of my life beca revenge. Through my efforts, I killed many vampires and gradually climbed to this position."
"That vampire who turned you, didn't he exert control over you?"
Within vampire society, there was no opposition to lower-ranking vampires seizing the bloodline of higher-ranking ones. Not to ntion that higher-ranking vampires were considerably stronger than lower-ranking ones, the re fact that they could control the lower-ranking vampires they turned made it impossible for many low-ranking vampires to resist.
Under so many conditions, if a high-ranking vampire was truly killed by a lower-ranking one, the vampire community couldn't say much. It was better to just let his rank be replaced, saving them the embarrassnt.
"No."
Aisaco only said one word, but that word contained towering rage. That vampire didn't take Aisaco seriously at all, even treating his revenge as a joke. He wanted Aisaco to seek revenge.
"What are your current plans?"
At this point, the attendant brought the dishes they had ordered. They imdiately stopped talking. Only after the attendant left did Aisaco continue:
"I apologize, but my true plans cannot be told to you. Nor do I wish to fabricate a false one to deceive you."
"You're quite honest."
Loren took a bite of steak and said.
"This is my research. It contains all the thods I've developed to deal with vampires, including the blueprints for Ultraviolet Lamps. I'm giving it all to you."
After taking the book, Loren opened it and flipped through a few pages. He discovered that Aisaco was even more of a science and engineering nerd than Loren himself. The things developed inside were truly not simple, even including the latest firearms. Loren hadn't expected these to be Aisaco's creations as well.
"The people under have never seen my face. I command them through a unique thod. After I accomplish my goal, the organization I've built will also be given to you. My bloodline can also be given to you. I only ask that you do not interfere with my plans."
Loren fell silent. Once the plan succeeded, Aisaco would abandon everything, including his own life. This only indicated one thing: his plan was truly capable of destroying all vampires.
