Loren hadn't expected to be ntioned again, but this Plague Believer was quite sensible, knowing what should and shouldn't be done.

And his information network was quite efficient, knowing Loren had co here and also aware that the Bardo Kingdom incident was Loren's doing.

"We should lay low for a while. The human experints need to be postponed, at least until Loren leaves.

"Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he developed a specific cure for the virus within five minutes. I can't think of anything he can't do.

"You guys handle the corpses. I'm heading ho first."

The Plague Believer casually discarded his tools, wiped the bloodstains from his hands onto his already filthy clothes, and turned to leave.

Gwen passed directly through the wall, where Movila was already waiting.

"You go keep an eye on that Plague Believer. I'll see how they plan to dispose of the corpses."

"Understood."

Movila acknowledged, but she remained waiting there. The other crows took to the sky at that mont.

After giving the order, Gwen re-entered the hospital. She moved swiftly. The two nurses hadn't left yet. Gwen watched them stuff the corpses into body bags, then head to the underground parking lot, loading the bodies one by one into a vehicle.

Gwen simply stood on the roof of the vehicle to see where they were going.

It was a van with considerable capacity. Loren even saw residual bloodstains in the trunk; this wasn't their first ti transporting corpses like this.

After stuffing the van full, the two nurses got in and drove out of the hospital.

The vehicle headed towards the wilderness. Loren roughly guessed their purpose: dumping the bodies.

Simultaneously, Loren noticed a new issue. Although these corpses had been dissected, they were still relatively intact. They could have been stitched up and sold to necromancers, but they weren't.

Loren put himself in their shoes and considered what he would do.

He wasn't short of money, so the inco from selling corpses wasn't a big deal. These bodies bore traces of research; selling them could easily lead to trouble. So, even if the probability of sothing going wrong was small, Loren wouldn't sell them. He would choose to destroy them directly.

If the mastermind behind all this was still Aisaco, Loren believed he would make the sa choice.

It's just that they didn't know Abundant Magic and couldn't dispose of corpses as conveniently as Loren. So, destroying the evidence would be more troubleso for them, leaving only the option of dumping the bodies in the wilderness.

Burning them directly was also a good option. Crematoriums were also under vampire control. But it was likely that crematoriums weren't within Aisaco's sphere of influence. To avoid raising suspicions, Aisaco didn't attempt to use crematoriums for disposal. Dumping the bodies directly would soon lead to scavengers taking care of them.

The van had been in the wilderness for so ti, but they still showed no sign of stopping. Loren could only wait patiently.

As the van drove on, more and more crows gathered around, circling concentrated in one area. There were also many flies here.

After driving a bit further, Loren slled an extrely strong, foul odor—a sll he was very familiar with: the stench of rotting corpses.

"Dumping all the bodies in one concentrated spot?"

Loren guessed sothing. This was highly irrational. Soone with Aisaco's intellect wouldn't do such a thing.

The nurses stopped the van and approached a patch of weeds. Many crows were gathered here. These small animals with keen senses of sll were very sensitive to corpses. They had already caught the scent and were waiting for a feast.

They just couldn't pinpoint the exact location of the corpses, so they circled here. Many crows were digging at the ground; they had also guessed sothing.

The nurses vigorously shook the grass, startling away the surrounding crows, before proceeding.

"These birds are so annoying. Could they expose us?"

"Soone already investigated before. Hardly anyone cos here. At most, soone might just pass by. They won't pay attention to these things.

"And even if we're discovered, it's no big deal. At worst, we can shift the bla, say the crematorium people dumped the bodies directly to save money. The crematorium is a vampire-owned business; they wouldn't dare say anything."

The two nurses conversed. Based on how they referred to the vampires, Loren also guessed their identities. They really were Aisaco's people.

While they were away, Loren also investigated the items in the van. There was a gun right next to the driver's seat, loaded with silver bullets effective against vampires.

Even Aisaco couldn't equip everyone with a gun and silver bullets, so these two nurses were very important to him.

"Is this Aisaco's real plan?"

Loren followed the two nurses' steps. In the grass, there was a very inconspicuous hidden door, even requiring the removal of a stone slab weighing it down to be discovered.

This stone slab was heavy. Even so, when the two nurses moved it aside, they left almost no trace. They were clearly not ordinary people.

They took the corpses out of the body bags and simply threw them down. After disposing of the bodies, they restored the stone to its original position before turning to leave.

Loren didn't follow them. Instead, he stayed behind to investigate the situation here.

He carefully moved the stone aside. Loren's strength was sowhat lacking, but his stamina was high. He took so ti to steadily shift the stone. He rembered its original position clearly, so there was no worry about being discovered.

"Ugh..."

The mont the hidden door was opened, Loren let out a retching sound. This ti, even he couldn't stand it.

Below was a large space filled with piled-up corpses. Loren estimated there were at least over a thousand.

The decomposition stages of these corpses varied, but they were uniformly all Uridians.

"Aisaco wants to attack on two fronts simultaneously..."

If the goal was simply to dump bodies, there was no need to take them out of the body bags. They wanted these corpses to fully contact each other, piled together in this enclosed space.

Most of these corpses were holess people. They likely already suffered from various illnesses while alive. Now, their bodies were piled together, rotting freely. This was undoubtedly cultivating a plague.

If the Plague Believer failed to achieve significant research results, then scattering these corpses everywhere would also unleash considerable destructive power.

Aisaco's thods were too insane, making even Loren feel uncomfortable, to the point where Loren considered the idea of stopping Aisaco.

No other reason, simply because Aisaco's thods were too inhumane. Loren understood his hatred for vampires, understood his desire to exterminate the vampire race. But he shouldn't have hard so many ordinary Uridian people. What did these ordinary people do wrong?

Loren sighed and restored the site to its original state.

The complete annihilation of Uridians would undoubtedly be a good thing for Loren. Dealing with a dual-god like the God of Night and Thunder was troubleso. Once His power was weakened, He would be easier to handle.

But Loren still couldn't bear to see so many innocent victims slaughtered. Loren was born from the bottom rungs of society and could sympathize most with those at the bottom.
