Now reading: Chapter 591: The Universe Stage from Modern Cultivation : The Strongest Couple Bonded by Vampire System, a Action novel by Author2189.

The Universe is a big place.

It is made of many galaxies and millions of star systems.

Billions of species live in it.

Each creates their own faction.

Most only care about their own territory.

But there are tis a danger grows so large that it threatens the whole universe.

To combat this, the major factions united.

They created a neutral organization called the Galaxy Council.

The council does not rule every world directly.

But it exists as a balance point between the strongest powers.

They created universal rules that no faction can break.

If soone breaks them, they will face the combined wrath of the major factions.

One of these rules is the ban on sentient AI.

Any self-growing intelligence that can evolve without limits is treated as a universal threat.

Sigma the AI Overlord learned this through its communication with the chalyte.

It then asked for a planet on the outskirts of the universe, in a far far away system, outside the patrol area of the Galaxy Council.

'Galaxy Council… Vesa, are you hearing this?

Is this a new organization?'

'I never heard of it, King.

Could you compile the information and send it to .

I will check it later.

I'm busy now with Lady Alice.'

'Is sothing the matter?'

'Just so inner conflict in Lady Alice's ho.

But nothing big.

So still think they're not ready to co out.'

'I see.'

It was sothing Alex had expected.

In every huge change, there would always be a group that rejected it.

Alex refocused on the chalyte in front of him.

He started drawing a few runes in the air, creating a formation array to enter the chalyte's inner soul.

He could do it without the runes.

But this was a safety net in case sothing happened.

He had learned the differences in body structure between species.

But what about the soul?

His soul scans of Alice and other humanoid species so far showed no major difference.

But for a silicon-based species, he suspected the structure might be altered or layered.

He touched the chalyte with his index finger.

In the next mont, his surroundings changed.

The view was amazing.

It felt like he had stepped into a digital construct.

All around him, Alex could see streams of data moving like aurora.

At the center, a chalyte avatar was bound by many runes.

"Are you part of the Avalanche?"

Alex smiled.

He did not answer the question.

Instead, he asked back.

"How many chalyte are in this system?

What position are you?"

The chalyte was silent for a mont.

Then it replied.

"We have one battleship in this system.

Twenty four chalyte split into three squadrons.

Under each squadron, we control our own army.

Each squadron has its assigned sectors and its own quota priorities.

I'm part of squadron three.

You can call Cyrith."

"I expected so resistance.

But it seems you already resigned to your fate, Cyrith."

"How would resisting help in this situation?

I have tried, but there is no way to break this bind.

I suspect you are backed by survivors of the vampire species.

Even if I call for backup, our battleship here will not survive.

Aren't you backed by the dragon race?

Why not call them?"

"The dragons are not dependable in this situation.

They support results, not liabilities."

"How about your main army?

Will they just let your battleship be destroyed here?"

"With our rank and contribution, the cost to help us is too high to be worth it.

Other squadrons will not risk losing their own quotas for us."

"So what will the chalyte do in this situation?"

"They will use the latest report to conclude the danger level.

Then mark this system as a high-risk zone.

If another chalyte unit wants the resources here, they can take over.

If not, this system will be left to decay until a new opportunity appears."

'What an effective and efficient system.

It's unfortunate I cannot use a system like this with other species.'

Sentient creatures were often dominated by emotion.

The way the chalyte did things was efficient.

But if this thod was used on humans, the result would be catastrophic.

Civil war would explode easily.

Many with power would feel they deserved special treatnt.

They had influence and strength to push change.

If they were not heard, they would create conflict.

"So what's your goal here, Cyrith?" Alex asked.

"You should already know the situation.

I could replace you with my artificial intelligence anyti."

"You can do that," Cyrith replied.

"But then I will destroy many important information nodes inside my body.

You could acquire them from others.

But that will cost you ti and resources.

So I offer my service in exchange for allowing to live.

With the fake soul inside , you should be able to keep in check."

"Intriguing," Alex said.

"Is that all you want?

As long as you still exist?

What purpose will you serve by living as my subordinate and becoming a traitor to your species?"

"Do we need a purpose?" Cyrith asked.

"Isn't it normal for any living being to want to stay alive?

Still, I do have a goal.

If possible, I want to continue my research."

Alex shook his head.

For many species, life was important.

But it was not always the most important thing.

How many had taken their own lives because they could not face despair?

How many had thrown away their lives for a goal or an ambition?

So even threw it away for emotions that did not make sense at all.

'So this is the difference between carbon-based species and silicon-based ones.'

'It seems silicon creatures do not feel emotion the way we do.'

Carbon-based bodies were tied to biology.

Their emotions co from hormone produce trough chemical reaction..

Adrenaline turn fear into action for self persevation.

Dopamine differentiate what is beneficial or not, what is one action should be directed at.

These reactions were ssy.

They could be irrational.

But they were the basic of any carbon based species.

They pushed people to protect family.

They pushed people to hate.

They pushed people to sacrifice themselves for pride, love, faith, or revenge.

They also made them easy to manipulate.

A lie could beco a war.

A rumor could beco a massacre.

A small injustice could beco a rebellion.

Silicon-based life was different. It didn't have any of these hormones.

They acted more like sentient artificial intelligence.

The only difference was that they were created by nature.
