Gael woke slowly to warmth pressed against his side.

For a few seconds, he stayed still beneath the soft gray light filtering through the apartnt windows, listening to the quiet rhythm of Haley's breathing against his chest.

Then mory returned all at once.

Her cries, her moans.

Fingers tangled in his hair.

The nervous look she tried to hide halfway through the night.

The way she relaxed afterward once she realized he wasn't going anywhere.

A faint smile pulled at his mouth before he looked down.

Haley was asleep with one leg tangled loosely against his beneath the blankets, dark hair spread across his shoulder and pillow.

Completely comfortable.

The sight hit him harder than expected.

Not because of sex.

Because of trust.

He had spent most of both lives feeling disconnected from people in ways he never fully understood until now.

But this—

waking up with soone curled against him as she belonged there—

felt dangerously easy to get attached to.

Haley stirred slightly, pressing closer instinctively before opening one eye.

"You're staring."

"You drool in your sleep."

She frowned imdiately.

"You're lying."

"Probably."

Haley groaned softly and buried her face against his chest again.

"I'm too sore and tired to defend myself."

Gael laughed quietly, one hand sliding slowly through her hair.

The apartnt remained peaceful around them while early morning sunlight slowly brightened the room.

No phones.

No etings.

No noise.

Just them.

Haley eventually looked up at him again, sleepier now than confident.

"You still here?" she murmured.

"That was the plan."

"Good."

The simple answer settled warmly in his chest.

Haley traced lazy circles against his bare chest while studying him quietly.

"What?"

"You look different."

"That sounds ominous."

"No." She smiled faintly. "Relaxed."

Gael leaned back slightly against the headboard.

Maybe he was.

Last night hadn't felt rushed or performative or temporary.

Just… real.

And honestly, that scared him more than casual hookups ever could.

Because now there was sothing to lose.

Haley shifted higher against him, lips brushing softly along his jaw before kissing him slowly.

Morning kisses felt different.

Less urgency.

More familiarity.

Gael's hand settled naturally along her waist beneath the sheets while Haley smiled faintly against his mouth.

"You know," she murmured, "I think your apartnt finally feels less serial-killery."

"That's the nicest thing anyone's said to ."

"You're welco."

He laughed softly before kissing her again, slower this ti.

Haley lted into him imdiately, still warm and sleepy while sunlight spread across the tangled blankets around them, then she readjusted on his lap before slipping his now fully awakened morning wood in her as she started moving slowly and rhythmically.

"Mmm, yess.. yes..Gaeeell" she moaned as she moved her body up and down

She kept riding him for 10 more minutes before

*spurt*

"Gaeelll! I am… I am cumming!!! AAAhhh… Gael…" She squirted while Gael sent his seeds deep inside her

God.

He was getting attached fast.

Dangerously fast.

Eventually, Haley pulled back slightly, resting her chin against his chest.

"So what do rich people usually do after sex?"

"Probably cocaine."

She snorted loudly.

"That explains Hollywood."

"In fairness, I'm improvising."

"You've never had a girlfriend before?"

Gael hesitated briefly.

In the old one?

Not really.

In this life?

Nothing serious enough to matter.

"Nothing serious," he admitted.

Haley looked weirdly pleased by that answer.

"Good."

"That sounded possessive."

"I'm deciding if I like you yet."

"You literally slept in my arms all night."

"That proves nothing."

Gael smirked and rolled slightly, shifting until Haley ended up trapped gently beneath him against the mattress.

She laughed imdiately.

"There he is."

"There, who is?"

"The eighteen-year-old part of you."

Gael blinked once.

Interesting wording.

Before he could ask what she ant, Haley wrapped her hands loosely around his dick and slipped it inside her again.

"Unnnnnh! Ohhhhhh! Unnnnnh!" The hot brunette before him had been whining and whimpering constantly for the past fifteen minutes.

With his hands gripping her slender waist, with his cock inside her, stretching out her vaginal walls.

Longer this ti.

Less nervous than last night.

More curious.

Her fingers slid through his hair while his hand traced slowly along her side beneath the sheets, drawing loud moans from her lips.

"You kn...know..aahhh... wh...aaah..at I reaaa...li..aaazed?" Haley whispered between thrusts.

"Wh..what?" he said, slowing his movents

"You're competitive about literally everything."

"That's not true."

"You fucked harder because I made fun of you."

Gael stared at her for a second before thrusting even faster this ti

"Oh my! Oh ... oh ... oh ... Gael! Gael! Oh, I'm cumming! I'm cumming!" Gael grinned triumphantly as he also filled her again for the nth ti before lying over her as both felt exhausted.

The sound of her moans filling the room did sothing strange to him.

It made the apartnt feel lived in.

Alive.

Not just expensive.

His phone suddenly buzzed loudly from sowhere on the floor beside the bed.

Neither moved.

Then it buzzed again.

Haley groaned dramatically into his shoulder.

"If that's my family, I'm blocking all of them."

Gael reached down blindly and grabbed the phone.

Phil.

Of course.

He answered carefully.

"…Hello?"

"Gael!" Phil's voice bood enthusiastically through the speaker. "Quick question. Hypothetically speaking, how difficult is cryptocurrency?"

Haley imdiately burst into muffled laughter against the pillow.

Gael closed his eyes briefly.

"Good morning to you, too, Phil."

"I heard teenagers are making fortunes from internet money."

"That sentence physically hurt ."

"Excellent. That ans I'm learning."

Haley stole the phone before Gael could stop her.

"Dad, why are you calling him at eight in the morning?"

"Because I'm bonding!"

"You need hobbies."

"I have hobbies."

"None of them are good."

Gael watched Haley argue with her father while sitting tangled in his sheets, naked and laughing sleepily into the phone.

And for the first ti since arriving in this world—

This stopped feeling like a story he was watching from outside.

It felt like a life he was actually living.
