They did.
The Ferrari 458 Spider, more specifically she had wanted a dark purple one. The price of the car was around two hundred and sixty grand. It was insanely expensive, but not even remotely in the realm of the truly expensive Ferrari's.
The expensive ones were worth one to two million, and were usually made in limited quantities, not to ntion hard to actually buy. Ferrari was well known for being VERY stuck up with the actual purchase of the vehicles, and only people that they wanted to own it were able to buy it.
Sort of like Rolex, but a lot worse. Rolex was sowhat possible to get sothing from, and they didn't really care what you did with the watch after you bought it. But Ferrari? Yeah, they threw a hissy fit if you customized it beyond what they allow.
So lengthening it, or adding a spoiler they don't like or anything like that? Yeah, they'd be more than willing to sue your ass. Which was sothing that they had done before, and legally were able to do because of contracts and all of that.
Either way, Haley had found the car that she wanted. And unlike the other stuff, she was VERY insistent on paying for it herself. She did not want Billie paying for everything and she wanted her first proper car to be under her na, and she wanted the satisfaction of owning and buying her own car.
So she did pay for it herself. But she couldn't just buy the car in France and bring it ho. No, that would be a bit of a hassle. So instead, they had reserved her an exact copy of the one that she liked in Paris, over at one of their dealerships in LA.
This way there would be no need for potentially risking the car by having it shipped over seas to the US. Not only that, but it would make it far cheaper, since shipping objects of that size can cost thousands of dollars, probably more because it's an expensive item that would naturally need warrant and all of that stuff.
So she would just have to wait until they got to the US in order to drive her new car, and show it off to her parents. And she would have a few thousand dollars saved thanks to it.
The other cars in the store were pretty nice, sothing that Billie was not afraid to admit. But she still far preferred Bugatti's and Koenigsegg's. Either of them would be a car she would love to have, and love to make her daily driver.
They were her favorite car manufacturers by an absolute mile.
But they were also hard to get, more expensive, and very limited in stock. But hey, at least she would be allowed to customize them without having to worry about so bullshit lawsuit flying in and ruining everything.
After the Ferrari dealership was over with, and Haley had confird the car that she had wanted as well as fully bought and paid for it, the two had set off to another store in the area. This ti it was a Louis Vuitton store.
The store itself was not bad or anything, but the employees? Yeah, they were pretty rude. Not to ntion the fact that they were trying to talk shit about the two of them in French. Sothing about them being "Dumb Aricans" and "Not being able to afford anything in the store".
She had never t anyone like that in France yet, so Billie realized that the two of them were probably just stupid. And considering the manager had absolutely grilled the two of them when she had heard what they were saying, she was inclined to believe that thought.
But hey, they did manage to get a few things that Haley had liked. And the look on their faces when Billie bought it all in French was hilarious. Not to ntion their reactions upon seeing a black Ax, which was not exactly a cheap card to get.
It had a LOT of benefits, hence why Billie was willing to pay the annual fee which was like five grand or so. As well as the initial fee for getting it in the first place which cost a decent bit of change.
After they had finished their ti in the Louis Vuitton store, they had decided that that was enough shopping for the day, and went out to get so food. This ti they had tried a local pizzeria that had been based out of Italy originally before moving over to France.
It was pretty good. Not the best pizza either of them had ever tried before, but still pretty decent. Billie imagined that the pizza spots that were actually in Italy were likely far superior in pretty much every way.
She would be going there at so point in the next year or two. Maybe she could make the trip with the family into sothing a bit more, and travel to Italy as well as the UK. Could be fun and let them explore Europe a bit.
She had a long list of "To Do Countries" which were basically just countries she wanted to go to, like: Japan, Australia, the UK, Germany, Italy, Egypt, South Korea, China, New Zealand, and Norway.
She also wanted to go to so countries in Africa and the Middle East at so point, but she had to be...a bit careful there. Mostly because of safety reasons. Sa reason why she wanted to go to India too, but had to be pretty careful about where she went and what she did.
She loved the countries and their cultures, but so of them just simply were not that safe. At least for a woman.
But she was sure she would figure it out when it got to that point. Would probably be able to get so security guards or sothing of the sort.
Anyways.
With the pizza finished and done, the two had decided to do sothing neither had ever done before.
They tried so wine.
In France it was completely legal to drink at the age of 18, in comparison to the US and the age being 21. Which...was valid, considering you could do a lot of other things at 18. But at the sa ti, Billie knew that so of the teens back in the US would...probably not use the fact that they can drink at 18 very well.
They both had found pretty quickly that wine was...not really that good to be honest. It was horribly overrated, and neither of them liked it.
They did find themselves liking martinis though. And Billie had tried a bit of bourbon and liked it too. Although Haley thought it was gross.
Once they had gotten back to their hotel, they had both decided that they would never be speaking of this to the family. As both of them knew that they would never let them hear the end of it if they told them they had drunk alcohol.
Even if it was technically legal.
At the very least Claire would throw a fit over it. And she imagined that Cam and Mitchell would be the sa. Jay and Gloria were probably the most likely to be fine with it, since Gloria was from a different country where...well, that probably had the sa legal drinking age. And Jay was...well, Jay.
With that, the two had gotten back to the hotel and spent another hour or so having so...fun.
Before eventually they cuddled up against one another, and fell asleep.
And so ended another day in Paris.
