The Darkling Horror sat in the dark, unable to sleep. She shivered and quivered and nashed a hundred sets of teeth across her body. Unable to take it a second longer, she sprang to her feet and scread.
"This place is. SO. BORING!!!"
Her voice echoed through the caverns, making Servitors and various abominations cringe with fear. Not that they had any reason be afraid of her. She'd already tasted everything under the mountain, and none of it was good. And, if she ate simply to appease her boredom, she'd run out of playmates within a day. Then sothing large and ponderous stirred far away, and Tygge flinched to think she'd woken Mother.
But it was nothing, after all. Just the stones settling.
Her thoughts drifted back as they'd done a hundred tis to the playmates who'd co from the sunworld. That'd been the only thing to ease her boredom since she'd awoken. That Bunny, that Cottontail person, the girl who played with her and fed her treats and survived after she'd taken a nibble by mistake.
No one else would do. No one else made her feel this way. This new hunger.
Mother wouldn't mind if she snuck out for a little while, right? And if she nibbled on a few monsters while out on a stroll... Well, there weren't any rules against snacking, she was pretty sure.
