Besides, at worst, you could just put so clothes on the Poneglyph Homies or sothing. There were plenty of solutions.

As she spoke, she stood up from the ground and hurried off toward the place where the Poneglyphs were stored.
Sherwin shrugged and then continued leading the others out of the castle.
Although he was also curious about what kind of result would co of it in the end, Big Mom probably wouldn’t let him watch.
Still, with Xiaer ow Observation Haki, maybe they could infer roughly what happened from the "voices" they sensed... and, incidentally, confirm the location where Big Mom kept the Poneglyphs.

"Hehehe~" Shermie ow suddenly laughed in his arms. After licking the back of Sherwin hand, she said as if presenting a treasure,
"Actually, I’ve very likely already helped you get hold of other Poneglyphs, Sherwin dear... we just need to wait a little longer, ow~"

Sherwin pinched her cheek and asked curiously.
"I didn’t really do anything, ow~" Shermie ow swayed her tail. Her words were modest, but her expression was smug as she explained,
"I just secretly placed a clone inside that cloud called Zeus. As long as I co into contact with it again next ti and retrieve the clone, there a high chance I’ll be able to read what it saw before, ow~"
After Sherwin decided to attend the tea party, he had already ntioned to Klee ow and Shermie ow that they could try improving their fla summons and clones by making contact with the two Homies, Protheus and Zeus.
So earlier, when they were suppressing them, the two cats weren’t just playing around or sleeping.
Klee ow excelled at shaping and controlling flas, so she had been trying to directly control—or even subdue—Protheus.
Zeus true body was a cloud rather than lightning, so Shermie ow hadn’t considered subduing it directly.
