The sli’s attack didn’t end with just one blow.

As soon as it touched the ground after a bounce tackle, the sli launched itself toward its next target.

Boing!

With goblins clustered nearby, finding the next target was easy.

Thwack!

-Kyaaagh!?

Once again, a goblin was struck by the sli’s tackle, and even another one behind it got caught in the blast and went flying.

The number of goblins quickly dropped from twelve to eight.

Even goblins with low intelligence realized that this sli wasn’t an opponent to be taken lightly.

-Kyaaaaah!

One goblin swung a wooden club at the sli.

Boing!

But that attack was easily dodged by the sli.

Boing!

The sli imdiately counterattacked, once again taking out the goblin and another behind it, reducing their numbers to six.

-Kkii-Kiii!?

With only half of their group remaining, the goblins realized it.

The sli before them was a powerful monster they couldn’t handle.

Though goblins are dumb enough to believe a victory through numbers is a sign of their own strength, even they could understand that they stood no chance after seeing half their group wiped out in an instant.

The remaining goblins all tried to flee, abandoning their comrades.

Six goblins turned and bolted into the forest.

‘I’m not letting you go! You’re gonna get it!’

Boing! Boing!

For a sli that could catch up to rabbits and deer, catching these panicked goblins was child’s play.

Boing!

Boing!

Boing!

And so continued a one-sided assault.

The sli’s swift, spring-powered attacks struck again and again.

The goblins had neither the ans to block the attacks nor the endurance to withstand them.

And in less than two minutes—

The sli had defeated all twelve goblins alone.

Blinking in disbelief at the sli’s massacre, Finn finally spoke.

“W…..?”

Boing!

The sli bounced as if reacting to Finn’s words.

“Alexandros II!”

Jessie, who had been watching from Nina’s arms, leapt out and ran toward the sli.

The sli also bounced toward Jessie as she ran.

Jessie spread her arms wide and hugged the approaching sli.

“You were amazing, Alexandros II! Incredible!”

‘Amazing!’

Understanding her praise, the sli gave a little shiver.

“Kyahaha!”

Laughing joyfully, Jessie pulled back and looked at the sli.

“I’m so glad. I’m sure Alexandros II will do just fine on his own.”

Jessie had been worried.

She thought the sli might get seriously hurt if left alone.

But after seeing what it just did, that fear had mostly vanished.

After all, it had defeated twelve goblins all by itself.

“I think so too, my lady.”

Finn sheathed his sword and agreed with Jessie.

“With this level of skill, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.”

“Really, Finn?”

“Yes.”

‘Who knew it’d be this strong? Back at the mansion, it was just a sli that gave good massages.’

With even a knight like Finn giving his approval, Jessie felt completely at ease.

She set the sli down again.

They had to finish the goodbye that had been interrupted by the goblins’ appearance.

“Alexandros II, take care. Go see whatever you want to see.”

“My lady…”

Seeing Jessie properly saying goodbye to the sli, Nina’s heart swelled with pride at how her lady had matured.

And she too felt sadness at having to part with the sli they had spent the past month with.

Boing!

Just like Jessie, the sli also began the goodbye it hadn’t been able to make due to the goblin attack.

Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing!

Creating so distance, the sli began bouncing across the grass-covered adow.

“Alexandros II?”

But it wasn’t just aimless hopping.

With each landing, it used its vibrations to twist and press itself against the ground.

It repeatedly jumped after leaving clear traces in the grass.

It wasn’t just random movent—it was clearly trying to say sothing.

A mont later—

“Ah…”

“No way…”

“I-Is this for real?”

Even Jessie, Nina, and Finn couldn’t believe their eyes.

The trails left in the trampled grass—clear even with added vibration—ford letters.

Over the past month, Jessie had read books aloud every night, and the sli had learned to understand ‘human letters.’

Not the automatically translated system chat letters, but written characters one had to learn to understand.

The nightly reading sessions had beco a gateway to knowledge for the sli.

And using the letters it had learned, with the knowledge it had gained thanks to Jessie, the sli conveyed its feelings.

[See you again! Jessie!]

Boing! Boing!

The sli bounced next to the letters it had written.

Yesterday.

The sli had felt sad upon realizing it would be parting ways with Jessie.

But the sli knew sothing.

That every farewell also ant a future eting.

Until now, it had only wanted to see and learn new things.

But now, it also felt a desire to reunite with the human it had grown close to.

That’s why the sli left a ssage of reunion.

Let’s et again.

With tears in her eyes, Jessie replied.

“Yeah! Let’s definitely et again, Alexandros II!”

They made a promise to see each other again.

And that wasn’t the end.

“When we et again, tell about everything you’ve seen!”

‘Okay!’

Boing!

As if replying, the sli jumped high into the air.

***

“Finn, am I hearing this right?”

“It’s all true, Count.”

Count Ludendion felt like one surprise after another had been hitting him since yesterday.

Jessie, tearful after hearing she had to let the sli go, had decided that very evening to release it.

And today.

He had expected Jessie to return in tears after parting with the sli and had prepared himself to comfort her.

But Jessie returned with only slightly reddened eyes, without a single tear.

Instead, she smiled and talked about wanting to gather books to read to the sli next ti.

The Count worried that she was clinging to a reunion that might never happen, unable to accept reality.

But what he heard from Finn in his office afterward was nothing short of shocking.

A group of goblins had appeared during their farewell.

The sli had defeated them all by itself with ease.

And then—

“That sli… learned to write?”

“Yes, without a doubt. It stomped out a clear ssage in the grass that said, ‘See you again, Jessie,’ directed toward Miss Jessie.”

“Hoo…”

He already knew the sli had the intelligence to understand human speech.

But for it to have learned human writing—that went beyond re intelligence.

A sli capable of taking down twelve goblins alone, yet gentle and peaceful during its month at the mansion, and now literate as well.

‘Was my judgnt wrong?’

If it was such an exceptional sli, maybe it would've been better to keep it at the estate.

But the sli had already left.

Even if they tried to track it down now, the chances of finding it were slim.

It was a sli, after all.

Even with intelligence, it was hard to imagine a monster would naively stick to the roads.

‘I’ll write a letter.’

So Count Ludendion decided to take the most reasonable action he could for now.

Just in case the sli made its way back to the Blue Elven Forest.

And also to share information about this unusual sli.

Count Ludendion docunted everything and sent a letter to the elder of the Blue Elven Forest.

***

anwhile, at that very mont—

Boing! Boing! Boing!

Contrary to Count Ludendion’s expectations, the sli was bouncing along a adow near the road.

One of the things it had learned during its month in the estate—

If you follow the road, you don’t get lost.

The sli didn’t like endlessly boring landscapes like the ones near the Blue Elven Forest.

It believed that following roads would lead to new villages and new lifeforms more quickly.

Having finished its farewell to Jessie, the sli happily moved forward, eager to see new sights.

[Thread-Lady] ▶ I’m glad to see Squishy full of energy~

[Squishy Queen] ▶ Hmph, like my kin would get depressed just from parting with a re human.

▶ LMAO it was just a human that gave lots of food lol, totally different from other humans lol

▶ Unpopular opinion, but I teared up during the farewell.

▶222222.

▶ Sad we won’t be hearing the funny human stories anymore.

At first, most viewers were filled with hatred toward humans.

But the month spent inside the estate softened their deep-seated prejudice quite a bit.

Of course, that didn’t an they’d show rcy to any human that tried to harm them.

▶ But why was the human crying at the end?

[FreeSpirit] ▶ Because Squishy wrote the goodbye using human letters.

▶ ????

▶Wait, wrote in human letters?

▶ When did it even learn that?

▶ Oh~ the human kept reading books aloud every night~

▶ Then did you learn it too?

▶Why would I learn that?

▶LOL LOL LOL

The viewers were shocked to realize the sli had learned human writing.

But now what?

▶ Looks like there’s nothing to do for a while?

▶ Ugh, entering a boring phase again?

▶ Well, we had a fun month, so I guess it’s fair LOL

▶ Give us entertaining content every day!

They were disappointed by the lack of action during the sli’s travel.

[Just Slam First] ▶ Now that you’re out of human territory, you can learn properly! Squishy! I’ll teach you a new hunting thod!

[Squishy Queen] ▶ Hold on! This ti, I’ll be the one to teach my kin! I won’t let you keep doing dumb body tackles forever!

[Just Slam First] ▶ Are you calling my refined hunting style dumb!?

[FreeSpirit] ▶ Squishy, I’ll teach you how to handle things when you et another human!

[Just Slam First] ▶ Why are you butting in again, you troll!?

Now that no human eyes were watching, the viewers wanted to teach the sli new things.

▷ Yes! I want to learn! Tell everything!

Parting from Jessie and the other humans it had grown fond of was sad, but the sli didn’t feel lonely.

Because there were always viewers in the chat talking to it.

And one week after parting with Jessie—

The sli continued to travel, learning from so of the viewers.

Along the way, it saw several rchant wagons pass by on the road.

It felt happy to see new humans again.

But unfortunately, none of the rchants or drivers were like Jessie.

Even when they saw the sli bouncing along the roadside, they just found it odd and didn’t bother stopping.

After it happened three tis, the sli stopped being surprised and just thought, ‘Oh, a wagon,’ each ti and kept bouncing along.

But then, soone did take an interest in the sli.

“Huh? What’s this?”

“Sir, what’s the matter?”

“Hey, look at this. There’s a sli here.”

“A sli?”

They were a ragged bunch—

Wearing shabby clothes, with hoods over their heads and worn-out blades in hand.

“A sli traveling along the road? That’s weird.”

‘Humans!’

Boing! Boing!

“Whoa, it’s bouncing like crazy!”

“Sir! It stopped right in front of us!”

“It’s not even running away from people. This sli is seriously strange.”

“Hmmm… you think we could sell it for so coin?”

They were a band of thieves.
