A roar that, to an ordinary adventurer, would trigger chills and imdiate caution.
However—
▶ He’s pissed off lololol
▶ If your head gets smashed while Body Slamming a sli, of course you’d be pissed lolol
▶ Shouldn’t you be cautious by default?
▶ That guy doesn’t have the brains for that.
▶ Looks like we’ll get to see a hilariously trashy battle for the first ti in a while.
▶ Trashy battles are always fresh and new.
To the viewers, the roar sounded nothing more than over-the-top posturing by soone who didn’t know their place.
It felt like a Shih Tzu barking at a wolf.
Of course, the sli that heard it firsthand didn’t let its guard down or underestimate it.
‘Coin!’
To grow stronger and see more things, the sli focused solely on defeating the Moon Kobold in front of it.
The Moon Kobold bared its fangs and raised its sharp claws.
It wasn’t attacking to play—it was an attack filled with the will to kill.
Boing!
Just like in the cave earlier, the sli dodged the Moon Kobold’s strike.
Craaaack!
A tree near the spot where the sli had been was slashed by the Moon Kobold’s claws.
The thick tree had a deep gouge shaped exactly like the path of the claws.
A display made purely by brute physical strength.
Though not as overwhelming to the viewers, the Moon Kobold was still a mutated type and a legitimate threat to humans.
But such attacks only matter if they land.
The sli bounced and dodged smoothly across the ground.
As it avoided the Moon Kobold’s strikes, the sli recalled what it had learned so far.
Words from Fenrir, who had taught it how to hunt with body slams, and the words of the Godrick Party when they attacked monsters in sync.
Aim for the opening.
Right after the monster attacks—when it misses its target and is left exposed.
That’s the mont to strike.
Boioing!
Using a Bounce Tackle once more, the sli launched itself at the Moon Kobold’s jaw.
But this ti, the opponent didn’t go down so easily.
The Moon Kobold quickly moved its missed arm to swat the flying sli away.
BOOOOM!
A sharp cracking sound echoed.
-Grragh!?
The Moon Kobold bounced the sli off and imdiately tried to follow up with another attack.
But its hastily swung hand collided with the Bounce Tackle and was forcefully knocked back.
anwhile, the sli landed on the ground unhard and actually created an opening to continue attacking.
Boioing!
As soon as it hit the ground, another Bounce Tackle struck the Moon Kobold’s abdon.
-Kuhuaaagh!
The Moon Kobold clutched its stomach in agony.
A blow strong enough to fracture a skull had slamd into its gut.
Its organs twisted, and the pain was so intense it couldn’t even breathe properly.
▶ Now’s the chance! LOL
▶ Haha that’s gotta hurt lololol
▶ Better than the Red Goblin at least.
Even the viewers were sure now—the winner of this fight was the sli.
‘Finisher!’
To end it, the sli bounced toward the Moon Kobold.
-Gurgh! Graah! Kraaaaagh!
With intense pain in its gut, the Moon Kobold no longer looked down on the sli.
Quite the opposite.
It now saw the sli as a powerful foe—and felt imnse fear.
The realization that it would soon die made the Moon Kobold tremble and convulse in pain.
-KRAAAAGH! KRAAGH!
As if screaming “Stay back! Don’t co closer!”, the Moon Kobold wildly slashed its claws.
This sudden seizure-like reaction was completely unexpected—even for the sli.
Sliiiiice!
By sheer coincidence, the Moon Kobold’s claw scratched the sli.
Part of the sli’s body was sliced off by the claws.
‘Ouch!’
It was a pain it hadn’t felt in a long ti.
But just because it hurt didn’t an the sli would stop.
It had already experienced far worse.
Pain from poison.
And worse than that—pain so deep it touched the soul from overusing its sensing ability.
Compared to those, this was nothing—it didn’t frighten the sli at all, only made it angry.
‘Bad!’
Boioing!
A rage-filled Bounce Tackle slamd into the Moon Kobold’s face.
WHAMMMMMM!
Just like with the Scarlet Goblin, the bounce tackle caved in the Moon Kobold’s face.
And the limbs that had flailed in seizure-like panic at the mont of death now dropped limply to the floor.
At that mont, the sli had completely taken down the Moon Kobold.
[You have obtained 30 coins.]
The system confird the monster defeated t the requirents.
‘30 coins.’
Three tis more than what it got for defeating the Scarlet Goblin.
Now, the sli’s total coin count rose to 92 coins.
It currently held 77 coins.
‘Coin! I got more!’
Boioing! Boioing!
The sli, who had already forgotten the pain the Moon Kobold caused, bounced up and down in joy.
[Thread-Lady] ▶ Squishy~ Are you okay? Are you hurt?
While the sli was bouncing in happiness, Thread-Lady Arachne asked out of concern.
▷I’m okay! It doesn’t hurt!
That wasn’t a lie .
Although the Moon Kobold’s claws had sliced off part of the sli, the attack hadn’t reached its core, and the sliced part had already regenerated without a trace.
[Free Spirit]▶ Squishy, did you get coins?
▷ I did! 30 coins!
▶Ohoho three tis more than the Red Goblin.
[Squishy Queen]▶Well done,My kin! May you continue to grow strong!
[Just Slam First]▶Bwahaha! It’s all thanks to my excellent teaching!
▶Then why can’t you raise your own kid?
[Just Slam First] SHUT UP!!!!
Having defeated its target monster and obtained coins, the sli was in an even better mood.
Only one thing remained now.
▶We’re finally getting a juicy food broadcast again.
As the victor, it simply consud its hunted target and returned.

“Huaaah~.”
As morning ca, Def sat up and let out a big yawn.
Rubbing his eyes, Def looked to his side.
There, as always, was the sli sleeping atop the bed sheets.
Def gently patted the sli.
“Tongtong, ti to wake up.”
Brrr!
Trembling slightly, the sli woke up.
Boing! Boing!
Then it imdiately hopped onto Def’s head.
“Tongtong, are you feeling good today?”
Feeling like the bounce was lighter and livelier than usual, Def asked.
Boing!
“I see. Hehe, maybe sothing good will happen today.”
With the sli on his head, Def finished breakfast with the party and headed to the guild.
“Hihit! Is it orcs again today, bro?”
“Yeah.”
“Hmph, well, it’s not like there are any other D-rank requests we can take.”
“Still! I want to try sothing different sotis!”
“I get you, Skol. But for other monsters, we’d have to ride out far in a wagon… huh?”
As soon as Godrick stepped into the guild, he sensed a restless atmosphere.
Tension was running through the crowd.
“Is it true?”
“I heard it last night too. It was quite the roar.”
“Probably just a kobold or a wolf, right?”
“You think this commotion is over that?”
“The old man at my inn kept yelling that it was a Moon Kobold.”
“Moon Kobold? What’s that?”
“A mutated type of kobold?”
“Let’s just wait for the guild’s announcent. No point guessing here.”
Godrick figured they wouldn’t learn anything just listening in, so he spoke to Skol.
“Skol, go ask around.”
“Yes, bro!”
A mont later, Skol ca back after talking to so people and reported to Godrick.
“They say a monster’s roar was heard all the way in the city last night! And apparently, it might have been a super rare mutated type called a Moon Kobold!”
“That’s what all the fuss is about?”
‘All this over a monster’s roar?’
“Is that Moon Kobold thing really strong?”
“No, they say it’s around C-rank! But if it grows, it can beco powerful enough to reach A-rank!”
‘A-rank?’
A-rank was a classification given to monsters considered true beasts.
The likes of black dragons, dubbed calamities, were classed as S-rank.
Below that, though not world-ending, A-rank monsters required significant firepower to subdue.
Even veteran adventurers didn’t dream of taking them on solo—they were monsters among monsters.
‘No wonder it’s such a commotion.’
Just then, a receptionist raised her voice loud enough to echo through the guild.
“Everyone! Please listen! The guild has just reached a decision!”
At her voice, the chaotic guild instantly quieted down, and the adventurers listened closely.
“The roar heard last night has been identified as a Moon Kobold! And we’ve determined that the monster is very close to ‘transformation’!”
“What?!”
“Is that true?”
Tension spread inside the guild at her words.
The reason the guild believed the Moon Kobold’s transformation—or evolution—was near was this:
According to old records, Moon Kobolds are extrely hard to find.
That’s because they’re extrely timid and rarely leave their territory.
If one starts actively roaming, it’s a sign of impending transformation.
Once fully grown and transford, the Moon Kobold becos ferocious and attacks everything nearby.
Since there’s been no sightings after the roar, the guild judged that transformation hadn’t occurred yet.
Thus, the guild issued a Moon Kobold subjugation quest at a shockingly high price.
They estimated the location based on the roar and issued a hunt in the suspected area.
Due to the potential threat, the reward matched that of an A-rank monster hunt.
Also, no need for formal quest acceptance—it was a first-co, first-served claim.
“Everyone! We’re counting on you!”
With the receptionist’s closing words, most adventurers rushed out of the guild.
Gone was the fear of the Moon Kobold—now their eyes glead with gold as they sprinted toward it.
After all, taking down a C-rank monster for an A-rank reward? That was a dream job!
“B-Bro! Let’s go too!”
Watching the adventurers rush out, Skol urged Godrick.
“Go where?”
“To catch that Moon Kobold or whatever it is!”
“You think that’s possible, Skol? We’re still D-rank. C-rank monsters are tough.”
“But the money…”
“Hmph, Skol, you really are a fool.”
“What! Hawane, what did you just say?!”
“Didn’t you see who just left? Even B-rank parties were in that crowd. You think we can compete?”
The B-rank party was the veteran team in this city.
They were leagues beyond Godrick’s party, who were just getting used to hunting orcs together.
“Tch.”
“Don’t get greedy. We’re going to hunt orcs. Got it?”
“Yes, bro…”
At Godrick’s words, Skol pouted and nodded reluctantly.
“Moon Kobold… i-it’s scary, Tongtong.”
‘Scary? Why?’
The sli tilted its body, not understanding why Skol feared a monster it had already defeated.
