"Of course Jiggly isn't an ordinary sli!"

Alia snapped slightly at Paulen's remark.

How could a sli that understands human speech be considered normal?

Paulen had just flung the sli high into the air, and Alia montarily lost her composure.

“No, Alia. Look here. See this crack?”

“A crack? Huh? When did that happen?”

“Haha, that’s this little guy’s doing.”

Still finding it absurd, Paulen chuckled and pointed his thumb at the sli.

“Jiggly did that?”

“Yep. Its tackle packed quite a punch. A regular animal would’ve been knocked out in one hit.”

“Jiggly?”

Alia eyed both the sli and Paulen with skepticism.

Boing! Boing!

‘More! Let’s do it again!’

While the two talked, the sli bounced excitedly, wanting to be thrown again after enjoying the experience.

“Yes, otherwise I wouldn't have had to disperse the shock when I deflected it. Let show you again.”

Paulen walked to the rack and switched to a fresh wooden shield, then stood in front of the sli.

“Alright, Jiggly! Do it again!”

‘Again!’

Boioing!

The sli imdiately launched another bounce tackle.

And unlike before—

Thwack!

Paulen took the tackle head-on.

This ti, he wasn’t caught off guard and distributed the force of the impact properly, so the wooden shield held firm.

“Did you see that?”

Even though he asked, Alia couldn’t tell the difference.

No matter how much Paulen tried to distribute the force or use advanced techniques, to her it just looked like he blocked it.

But Paulen had no reason to lie to her either, so Alia responded honestly.

“I’m not really sure.”

“Yeah, I guess it all looks the sa on the outside.”

anwhile—

Boing! Boing!

‘Different! That one was different! Higher! Throw higher!’

The sli began bouncing in circles around Paulen.

“Huh? What’s up?”

Once Paulen focused on it—

Boing~!

The sli leapt higher than Paulen’s head to express its desire.

‘Higher! Higher!’

“Hmm, you want to launch you higher?”

‘Yes!’

Brrrr!

The sli quivered on the spot, as if to say he got it right.

“So you had fun with that, huh? Alright then.”

Paulen figured there were other ways to prove how strong the sli was, so he decided to keep playing for now.

After all, the reason they ca to the training ground was because the sli was bored.

“Co again! I’ll launch you upward this ti.”

‘Upward!’

Boioing!

The sli once more tackled Paulen.

Each ti it hit the wooden shield, Paulen would absorb the impact and launch it upward—

Boing! Boing!

‘So fun!’

Each ti, the sli soared joyfully through the air and landed safely.

‘Should I try sothing else now?’

As Paulen continued taking bounce tackles, he also observed.

Just like a normal tackle, the bounce tackle had a consistent power output.

This led Paulen to conclude the sli likely had even stronger attacks.

He was becoming increasingly convinced that the sli really had defeated the lesser troll.

And now that they tested attack power, it was ti to test agility.

“Jiggly! Let’s play sothing different now.”

‘Sothing different?’

“This ti, I’ll swing my sword. Try dodging it, okay?”

‘Dodge!’

Boing!

The sli bounced in place, signaling it understood.

As soon as Paulen saw that signal, he approached and swung his sword.

“Paulen! Wait a second!”

Alia grew worried that the sli might get seriously hurt.

But within 10 seconds, she realized her concerns were unfounded.

Boing! Boing! Boing!

‘It’s dodging well?’

While Paulen wasn’t swinging with full force or aggression, he wasn’t being careless either—he was precisely aiming at the sli.

And the sli dodged each strike with nimble bounces.

“I’m going faster now, Jiggly!”

To test the sli’s limits, Paulen gradually increased his speed.

▶ Wow lol it's speeding up!

▶ Cheer up, squishy!

[Just Slam First]▶ Hah! You think squishy can’t dodge that weak speed?

▶ First-person view's intense lol

The sli enjoyed the dodging ga, and viewers were also entertained by the sword-dodging stream shown in both third-person and first-person views.

The speed kept climbing.

Even Alia, watching from the sidelines, started to worry it was getting too fast.

‘At this rate, it's quicker than most C-rank monsters. But it looks like it’s never faced soone faster than itself.’

Paulen grinned and changed his approach.

After swinging once and the sli dodged by jumping—

He increased the speed and struck mid-air while the sli was still airborne.

He used the flat of his blade to knock the sli away like a push.

The sli flew backward—

Boing! Boing!

Only after bouncing twice did it finally stop.

‘Got hit!’

▶ What was that just now?

▶ Squishy got smacked midair, huh 👀

▶ Sudden burst of speed, whoa.

[Just Slam First] ▶ Tsk tsk, you should’ve twisted your body to dodge!

▶ Can a sli even twist its body?

▶ Dunno lol

“Hahaha! Surprised, weren’t you?”

‘Yup! Let’s do it again!’

Boing! Boing! Boing!

The sli quickly returned to Paulen’s side, bouncing in circles.

Paulen could tell from the sli’s reaction that it posed no threat to humans.

‘It knew my strike wasn’t ant to harm it… It actually thought it was a ga and wants to do it again. What a find, this sli!’

“Jiggly, you okay?”

While the sli was clearly having fun and Paulen was reassured, Alia approached with worry.

“It didn’t get hurt, right?”

“Don’t worry, Alia. I adjusted the force properly when I launched it.”

“You say that, but you hit it with a sword.”

Paulen’s strike had been so fast that even the sword’s flat side hadn’t been visible to Alia.

“I pushed it with the flat of the blade. No need to worry. More importantly, see? I was right—Jiggly isn’t a normal sli. Look how fast it moves.”

“Yes, I get it now. But it doesn’t change the fact that you hit Jiggly.”

“That was clearly play.”

To Alia, it didn’t quite look like play, but since the sli was bouncing around happily, she let it go.

Still...

“It might still be hurt... Let heal you. Co here, Jiggly.”

‘Heal?’

As Alia reached out, the sli jumped onto her hand.

With her other hand, she gently petted it and began a holy healing spell.

“Oh divine, grant thy healing touch upon this one.”

A soft yellow light radiated from her hand and enveloped the sli.

The warm energy spread as healing power.

‘So warm!’

The sli’s stamina, drained from all the activity, began to recover.

Brrrrrr!

‘Wowww!’

Energized again and enjoying the comforting feeling, the sli quivered happily in Alia’s hand.

“Holy magic works on monsters too, huh.”

“The hand of the divine shows no discrimination. It’s done, Jiggly.”

Boing!

After the healing ended, the sli hopped off Alia’s hand.

“Now play safely, alright?”

“Yes, ma’am. What about though, Alia? Don’t I get healing?”

“Do you really look like soone who’d get tired from this?”

“Hahaha! True! This is nothing! I’ve got these muscles, after all! Look at this flex!”

Paulen struck a proud pose, but inwardly he clicked his tongue.

‘I’d love to test the sli’s full abilities, but if I go all out now, Alia will glare daggers at .’

With a regretful sigh, he decided to keep playing at the current level.

***

That night.

Alia couldn’t fall asleep.

She kept thinking about the events with Paulen and the sli.

‘It happened because I lacked confidence.’

She hadn’t trusted herself enough to take the sli outside, and so Paulen had brought it to the training ground.

And then proceeded to launch it repeatedly using his sword and shield, all under the pretense of “playing.”

Paulen claid the sli enjoyed it…

But to Alia, it looked more like a rowdy uncle playing dangerously with his niece.

‘If I keep doing nothing, who knows what risky thing Paulen will do to Jiggly next.’

—Hahaha! Let’s see how many tis Jiggly can bounce!

Boingboingboingboingboing!

She pictured Paulen dribbling the sli like a basketball.

‘That’s NOT okay!’

Pop!

Her eyes snapped open.

Her grim imagination had completely chased sleep away.

“Sigh...”

Alia sat up.

She lit a lantern powered by a mana stone, casting a soft glow.

She retrieved her sacred text from the bookshelf—

A book containing divine teachings and clerical blessings, also known as holy magic formulas.

Whenever she couldn’t sleep, she had a habit of reading scripture until drowsiness returned.

Leaning back in bed, she began flipping through the pages quietly.

‘Huh?’

Boing.

Hearing the soft sound of pages and seeing the light, the sli woke up and moved next to her.

“Oh, sorry. Did I wake you?”

Brrrrr!

The sli quivered, as if to say, “No big deal.”

Alia smiled warmly and stroked the sli with one hand while continuing to read.

The lantern’s glow gently illuminated her orange hair—until it began to dim.

“Huh? Out of power already?”

She panicked a bit.

Other attendants usually replaced the mana stones at the right ti, so she hadn’t kept a spare.

The room darkened completely.

No moonlight ca through the windows either.

She had hoped to read for just 10 more minutes before sleep.

‘Guess I have no choice.’

She was about to close the scripture and lie down—

Wooooong...

The sli began to glow, softly illuminating the space around them.

“J-Jiggly!? Y-you’re glowing!?”

Alia sat up in shock.

The sli was emitting light!

“Jiggly, how are you glowing? Are you okay?”

‘Glow! Read scripture!’

The sli pressed itself closer to Alia, nuzzling the hand still resting on the open book.

“Are you glowing so I can keep reading?”

‘Yes!’

Brrrrrr!

“Haha...”

Alia chuckled, unsure how to process the situation.

But knowing the sli was doing this for her filled her heart with warmth.

“Thank you, Jiggly.”

Alia read for another 20 minutes before drowsiness finally returned.

She hugged the glowing sli tightly and drifted off to a peaceful sleep.

‘I’ll definitely take you outside next ti… I promise.’
