Swaaahhhhh.

Alia turned on the magic tool functioning as a showerhead and began washing herself with the sli.

“Haaah…”

The magic tool could even control water temperature.

Setting it to warm, she washed herself, and so of the fatigue from traveling seed to lt away.

‘I’ll be staying in the Magic Tower for the next month... What if all the other mages are as talkative as Gracie?’

If they suddenly popped up and started explaining magic or anything else, it felt like it would totally drain her.

Besides, she had the sli with her.

It was an incredibly rare and intelligent sli, so wouldn’t that just attract even more attention from the mages?

“Haaah.”

Boing!

Just as Alia let out a sigh, the sli climbed onto her shoulder.

“Sorry. I’ll wash you too, Jiggly.”

Alia grabbed the showerhead and sprayed water on the sli sitting on her shoulder.

Brrrrr!

‘It’s warm!’

The water temperature was perfect for the sli, too.

After finishing her shower, Alia was about to turn off the magic tool.

‘I wanna do it!’

Pop!

At that mont, the sli extended a tendril toward the power button of the magic tool.

“You want to turn it off?”

‘Must’ve really gotten into using magic tools.’

Alia couldn’t help but smile at the sight, like a church kid playing with a new toy.

“Then go ahead, Jiggly.”

‘Okay!’

The sli moved its tendril and turned off the magic tool.

Brrrrrr!

It was thrilled just by the fact that it could operate the magic tool by itself.

While the sli was overjoyed, the viewers weren’t exactly impressed by the act of using a magic tool, unless it was so new kind.

[Noblesse Fire] ▶ That squishy gets excited over the weirdest stuff.

[Gothic Luxury Bone] ▶ Hehehe, isn’t it just heartwarming and nice? Well, it’s hard to expect emotion from a dull dragon like you.

[Noblesse Fire] ▶ Here this guy goes again, trying to start a fight.

▶ But wait, are we just going to bed like this? No food stream? When you’re in a new place, you gotta film a new food stream!

▶ But this human looks dead tired, so they’re probably going to bed first?

▶ Booooring.

▶ Snoozefest lolol

After washing up, Alia held the sli in her arms and headed back to her room.

“Alia, aren’t you going to eat?”

“I’m too tired to even think about food. I’m just going to sleep.”

“I see. Good night then. Oh, and I’ve already laid out your favorite blanket on the bed.”

“…Thanks.”

“So please hand over Jiggly.”

“Huh? Jiggly’s going to sleep with …”

“Hahaha! There’s no way Jiggly, who works out with , has the sa weak stamina as you!”

“W-Weak stamina…?”

“We haven’t even done our daily training today. So, hand him over.”

Alia hugged the sli tightly like she was protecting it.

“Even Jiggly needs rest! Training every day without a break isn’t good for anyone!”

“Of course, reckless training is bad! But I train in a systematic way, so it’s fine!”

Paulen grinned, showing his teeth.

“Co on, Jiggly! After training, let’s take a walk and explore the tower!”

‘Walk!’

Pop!

“W-Wait, Jiggly! No!”

The sli extended its tendrils and wriggled out of Alia’s arms, crawling toward Paulen.

Boing!

“I can’t believe this!”

Alia’s jaw dropped in despair.

▶ lolol Squishy got snatched.

▶ Forget sleep, it’s all about checking out the new content lolol

▶ Even here we’re getting NTR’d lololol

After finishing her tour for Alia, Paulen, and the sli, Gracie returned and was filing a report at the Magic Tower.

There wasn’t much to the report.

She simply guided them to the villa and explained how to use the magic tools there.

And ntioned that the saintess brought along a rather unusual sli.

“I see. Got it. Good work, Gracie. You may go now.”

“Yes, Tower Master.”

Gracie bowed to the elderly man with a bald head and long beard—Brooks Vessilja, the current master of the Magic Tower—then headed ho.

As soon as she opened the creaky door and stepped inside, she was greeted by her prized collection of magical tools.

“Missed you all!”

Smiling brightly, she greeted her magic tools and began her usual inspection routine.

“My pretties... Big Sis will take real good care of you~ Heehee. Hee. Heeheehee.”

Gracie Frail.

She was the mage in the Magic Tower with the most magical tools and was mockingly called a “magic tool addict” by other mages.

But Gracie herself never felt angry or humiliated by such nas.

‘If they’re so salty, they should just buy so magic tools too! Isn’t it weird to get mad at broke losers whining about things?’

She was the descendant of Ventus Frail, the Sage of Magic.

More precisely, she was the granddaughter of Ventus Frail’s cousin.

The news that Ventus Frail had died in a magic-related accident was a major topic even within the tower.

That a hero like him would die from an accident—it was shocking.

But still, no one really questioned it deeply.

“Even a hero like him couldn’t escape a magic accident, huh.”

Because magic accidents were so frequent in the Magic Tower, they were basically expected!

So much so that the leading cause of death among mages wasn’t missions, but dying from accidents during magical research or experints.

Naturally, Ventus Frail’s estate was inherited by his surviving family.

However, the only surviving family mber he had left was his cousin.

Thus, the inheritance passed down to his relatives.

The wealth accumulated by Ventus Frail, fad as a hero, was considerable, and the Magic Tower regularly paid tribute and support funds in his honor.

His cousin—Gracie’s grandmother—who suddenly ca into a fortune, had a thought.

‘Well... I guess there’s no need to work so hard on magic research anymore?’

She had once been a mage with her own passion for study.

Even when other mages died in magic accidents, her enthusiasm hadn’t wavered.

But learning that it wasn’t just a stranger but her own relative who died in such an accident—soone she knew well—hit her differently.

Especially because it was her cousin who had made such a na for himself.

If even a hero like Ventus Frail could die in a magic accident, then what about her, who was less talented?

Wouldn’t the chances of her getting into a similar accident be even higher?

With that thought, she stepped away from magic research and chose to live a peaceful life using the inheritance and support funds, marrying an ordinary man and raising children.

And that mindset carried into how she raised those children.

There was no need to beco a great mage.

After all, they had money.

Just find a safe, stable job.

But no matter how much she taught that, it wasn’t sothing that would naturally pass down through generations.

And the one who didn’t inherit that mindset was Gracie Frail.

Gracie Frail, descendant of the Sage of Magic.

The cousin of Ventus Frail’s granddaughter.

She admired Ventus Frail, the hero who had slain the Black Dragon, and wanted to beco an exceptional mage like him.

Her family opposed her decision at first, but her grandmother, who understood what it ant to have a passion for magic, was the first to support her—albeit with conditions.

—You must not perform dangerous magic experints.

—Okay!!

Following her grandmother’s teachings, Gracie had no intention of engaging in risky magical experints.

However, sothing she didn’t expect soon beca apparent.

Gracie’s magical talent... was completely average.

Not so poor that she would be called a failure.

But not outstanding enough to be labeled elite, either.

She had a very ordinary amount of mana, understanding of magic, and control over spells.

If she had been from a commoner background or a lesser-known family, it wouldn't have mattered.

But she was from the Frail family.

Born of the sa bloodline as the renowned hero.

And her parents didn’t beco mages, living instead as ordinary people.

Most mages assud that with her appearance, the Frail family had finally produced another magically gifted child, and that was why she had entered the Magic Tower.

Naturally, this drew attention.

And when other mages witnessed her abilities, many set unrealistic expectations, only to be disappointed—or mocked her.

Gracie hated those reactions with every fiber of her being.

After all, she took pride in the fact that Ventus Frail’s blood flowed in her veins.

And she had a tougher mindset than most realized.

Gracie didn’t bla her lack of talent.

Instead, she began to think about how she could turn the tables on the people who mocked her, disappointed by their own assumptions.

And the answer... was magic tools.

Not talented enough?

Then supplent with tools.

Not enough mana? Use a mana storage tool.

Not powerful enough? Use a power amplification tool.

Too hard to operate multiple tools at once? Use a control-assist tool.

Of course, collecting such tools wasn’t easy.

The Magic Tower had many shops dealing in magic tools.

But most only sold items for daily convenience.

Unlike simple tools that needed only a basic formula, battle-support magic tools required complex formulas and skills to embed those formulas—so the prices were high.

Fortunately, the Frail family had the inheritance and support funds to afford them.

With the help of nurous magic tools, Gracie gained the strength to go head-to-head with elite mages known for their natural talent.

They scoffed and called her a “magic tool junkie” who relied solely on devices.

But when it ca to actual duels, Gracie beat them.

She took great satisfaction in seeing the twisted expressions of those who had once mocked her or dismissed her.

Of course, her magic tool collection journey didn’t start smoothly.

At first, her family opposed her.

Why are you buying so many tools?

Is it really okay to spend so much of the family’s money?

She was grilled over it.

“If I don’t produce any results, they’re going to stop the family’s support funding!”

In fact, there were already rumors that the Frail family—despite its heroic bloodline—wasn’t contributing anything to the magical world, and didn’t deserve continued support.

“The support funds...!”

“They’ll be cut...!”

Even if they were surviving by doing ordinary jobs, the idea of losing that steady stream of money was unbearable.

Just when she had finally cald her family’s opposition, Gracie was summoned by the Tower Master himself.

She’d been extrely nervous, thinking she was about to be scolded.

Was she about to et a textbook old-school mage who hated the idea of using tools?

Sothing like:

What? You got strong using magic tools? That’s not real magic! You’re outta here!

But contrary to her fears, the Tower Master—Brooks Vessilja—reacted positively.

“So, you want to beco strong using magic tools? Not by relying purely on your own ability?”

“Yes, yes!”

“But your family... Ventus Frail beca a hero through his own talent. Don’t you want to be like that?”

“Well, if I had that kind of power, sure, I’d do it that way… But I’m really just average! I’m not a genius like Sir Ventus! That’s why I have to struggle even if it ans using tools! Th-that’s what I... I think...”

“Ha... Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I see, I see! That’s how you think? Very well! I like it! I like it a lot!”

“Huh?”

Brooks spoke to Gracie while barely holding back laughter, like he’d just witnessed sothing hilarious.

“If there’s a magic tool you want, co tell later. I’ll help you get it.”

“Th-thank you, Tower Master!”

Bowing her head, Gracie left the Tower Master’s office.

From behind the door, she could still hear his booming laughter, and at the ti, Gracie thought:

‘The Tower Master wasn’t so grumpy old-fashioned mage! He’s actually pretty open-minded!’

‘To think that the descendant of Ventus ended up being such a pitiful, tool-pumping mage! This is hilarious! I want to keep watching this trainwreck!’

Though their thoughts couldn’t have been more different, the situation still turned out favorably for Gracie all the sa.
