Troll was completely hyped right now.

It was still only the beginning of the plan, but Gracie's performance was satisfying Troll's heart.

As soon as he used the magic he had wanted to show to his comrades, even if she was a magic tool doping mage, seeing his descendant perform this well made him thrilled!

The Inferno Fall used by Troll was not a magic that could be easily blocked.

He thought Presia could probably stop it.

After all, it was a spell cast assuming "Saintess" Presia as the standard.

In other words, its power was on the level of a hero.

Gracie managed to block it.

She used magic with a thod of utilizing magic formulas that Troll himself had never used when he was alive, by incorporating magic tools.

If Troll mainly used multiple magic formulas simultaneously to pour out spells at once, Gracie chose to combine a smaller number of formulas to create one much more powerful spell.

It was even more complex and technically demanding than the thod Ventus used, but Gracie overca it through her skilled use of magic tools.

Even Troll, a natural old-school wizard, had to acknowledge this scene.

And Troll wasn't satisfied with seeing it just once.

‘I still have so much more to show you. I'll test your limits too, Gracie!’

[Gracie. I rember that na. Then, try blocking this too!]

Troll's second magic masterpiece created while holed up in his secret workshop.

A magic circle for a massive homing missile spell unfolded in the sky.

Wooooong!

Pyu pyu pyu pyu pyung!

This ti, instead of several, one enormous magic circle appeared, and countless rays of light rained down from it.

"Ahhh! Dodge it!"

"Is it even possible to use such huge spells one after another like this?!"

"I-I'll intercept it...!"

Gracie tried to cast her next spell imdiately.

However.

"Ugh!"

Gracie staggered from a sudden dizziness.

It was the backlash from using a level of magic she had never attempted before.

In the first place, Gracie mainly focused on research at the Magic Tower and was not a combat-oriented mage.

That’s why her body couldn’t keep up with casting another big spell right after using such a large one.

‘Finally, I had a chance to shine! And now, here of all places!’

Gracie felt frustrated.

She had resolved herself and confidently stated her na.

And yet, in the next mont, she ended up like this.

For the first ti in her life, Gracie felt overwhelming frustration.

"Thank you, Miss Gracie. Please leave it to this ti."

Presia, drawing up her divine power, finally unfolded a hemispherical holy barrier.

The barrier covered not only the party but also the golem that Paulen was facing.

Dudududududu!

The magic bullets rained down like a storm.

But in front of Presia’s holy barrier, they were nothing more than raindrops hitting an umbrella.

"Your barrier still performs perfectly. Then..."

Nellin drew her bowstring, aiming at the golem about the size of an adult man.

While Paulen was holding back the big golem, other golems were approaching the party from behind.

As Nellin was about to release the string, Presia stopped her.

"Nellin, please stay focused on the lich."

"What? Then who’s going to stop those coming over here?"

"Of course, I plan to leave that to the companions you raised."

"What? Them?"

With a gentle smile, Presia looked at Godrick’s party and asked, "Excuse , could you help us? We need your strength."

"O-our strength, you an?"

"Yes. But if you’re afraid, that’s okay. I’ll just try harder myself."

"Hmph, for the saintess to need our power. Not bad!"

"Yeah! It’s way better than sitting here scared!"

"I want to fight too!"

"You’re still so good at rousing people."

"I’m just asking for the courage they already have. Alia, please bless them."

"Yes! Saintess Presia!"

While Presia blocked Troll’s magic, Alia bestowed the sa blessing she had given Paulen to Godrick’s party.

Wooooong!

"This is the saintess’s blessing? I feel power overflowing through my body."

"Right now, I feel like I can do anything! This sense of omnipotence... amazing!"

"Hey! Def! Let’s go take them out!"

"Yeah!"

Empowered by the blessing, Godrick’s party launched themselves forward toward the golems.

"Uryaaah!"

"Take my sword! Lich’s minions!"

"Yaaaah!"

"Haaah!"

Slice!

Crash!

Godrick’s party swung their weapons at the golems.

The attacked golems either had parts cut off or crumbled and collapsed imdiately.

"What the heck! They’re no big deal!"

Feeling triumphant, Ignis shouted out.

‘Hmm, was the next saintess’s blessing stronger than I thought? No, they’ve gotten ridiculously stronger since I last saw them.’

The last ti Troll saw Godrick’s party was a few months ago when they were hunting a lesser troll.

Compared to then, their skills had evolved dramatically — it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a complete transformation.

Of course, they were still far from hero level, but at least they had grown enough to match veteran adventurers, which was a huge step forward.

‘I can add even more mana to the golems when summoning them next.’

When the barrage of countless magic bullets from Troll finally stopped, Presia retracted the barrier and signaled to Nellin.

"Nellin! Now!"

Following Presia’s earlier request to focus on the lich, Nellin drew her bowstring and charged the arrow with mana.

The secret technique of the elves.

A feat that only a few elves who had reached a certain realm could perform.

The reason Nellin was called the Starlight Archer was about to be revealed.

"Dieeeee!"

Nellin’s arrow soared into the sky.

Then, in the next mont.

The single arrow multiplied into many, shining like starlight as they rained down toward the lich.

This was the secret technique: teor Shower.

The mana within the arrow diffused, turning each fragnt into a powerful arrow that rained down upon the enemy like a teor storm.

‘I knew it would co!’

Troll expected Nellin would use this technique.

There was no way she would hold back against an enemy like the lich.

‘Now, I’ll show you my defensive magic!’

Troll gathered his mana and erected a barrier to block the arrows pouring down on him.

Unlike his previous barriers, this one was intricately woven with delicate formulas.

Troll had nad this magic "Aegis."

Ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-kang!

Countless starlight arrows collided with the barrier.

"Tsk, he blocked that too."

Seeing that her secret technique hadn’t landed a decisive blow on the lich, Nellin clicked her tongue.

However, Troll’s situation wasn’t so relaxed either.

'If I didn’t keep supplying mana, it would’ve broken. As expected of Nellin’s secret technique.'

While the arrows struck, Troll kept supplying mana to Aegis so that its durability wouldn’t be depleted.

Thankfully, since it was a newly developed spell, such an act was possible.

If it had been an ordinary barrier, it would have surely shattered from just one arrow hit.

Troll was delighted not only at the achievent of his new magic but also at Nellin’s skill, which he still couldn’t take lightly.

He was happy that his magic succeeded, but he was just as happy that his comrade's skill remained as solid as ever.

"You can’t pierce it in one shot? Then let’s go for another round!"

'It’s dangerous to take another hit in a row!'

[That won’t happen!]

To prevent her from firing another teor Shower, Troll began casting another spell.

***

The fight continued for over thirty minutes.

Troll kept summoning golems to block the vanguard from approaching him while showing off the magic he wanted to display.

Paulen kept facing the giant golems that appeared one after another, and Godrick’s party continued cutting down the golems, preventing them from approaching Nellin, Alia, and Presia.

Alia continuously blessed Paulen and Godrick’s party while watching for an opening to attack with sacred techniques.

Nellin kept firing arrows toward Troll whenever she had a chance, threatening him, and Gracie, once she recovered, used her magic to block the incoming spells.

Presia, when Gracie stumbled due to not being used to intense battles, unfolded barriers to buy her ti to recover, and together with Alia, launched holy sword and spear projectiles imbued with divine power to attack Troll.

"Huff, huff."

"Haaah! Haaah."

"How long is this going to go on?!"

"I-I can’t lose! I have to find Tongtong!"

After fighting intensely without rest for thirty minutes, Godrick’s party was gasping heavily.

Although not gasping, Paulen was also sweating as he continued facing the giant golem.

Normally, he would have cut down the golem in one blow and swung his sword at the lich, but the golem blocking Paulen was specially reinforced by Troll.

Unlike ordinary golems, this giant golem was far superior in strength, speed, and technique, continuously stopping Paulen and preventing him from reaching Troll.

It wasn’t just the front line whose stamina was depleting.

Gracie, who had repeatedly blocked and countered spells she had never experienced in her life, had already reached her mana limit.

Among the many magic tools hanging from her body, the ones using mana stones had already run out of mana, and the tools for mana replenishnt had stopped functioning, leaving Gracie’s face pale from mana deficiency.

Alia, too, was sweating coldly since it was her first ti using sacred techniques so continuously without rest.

Among the group, only Nellin and Presia, who had experienced countless fierce battles in the past, could continue fighting with ease.

Nellin still had abundant stamina, and Presia, having mastered proper divine power allocation, still had plenty of divine power left.

anwhile, Troll, who had been fighting the party all this ti, had consud over half of his mana.

The magic that consud the most of Troll’s mana wasn’t the golem summoning, nor the large-scale attack spells, nor the barrier to prevent severe damage to the hill.

It was his defensive magic.

Not just when blocking Nellin’s teor Shower, but also when withstanding Gracie’s magic and the sacred techniques used jointly by Alia and Presia, he had to consu the most mana.

When he beca a lich, his mana had increased several tis compared to when he was alive.

Yet, they had forced him to consu nearly half of that massive mana.

'Truly impressive. Nellin, Presia.'

He felt proud that his comrades’ skills hadn’t rusted at all.

'All of them have such promising futures.'

Looking at Godrick’s party, who had endured this far, and seeing Paulen, Alia, and Gracie, who would shine even more in the future, he felt humanity’s future was still bright.

'It’s about ti.'

He had shown all the magic he wanted to show.

Although Troll still had half of his mana left, if he continued any longer, aside from Nellin, Presia, and maybe Paulen, the others would reach their limits and collapse.

That’s why Troll decided it was ti to reveal his true identity.

[You’re amazing. Yes, truly amazing. To hold out this long against as I am now.]

"Hold out? One more push and we could’ve taken you down!"

[Hahaha! Such scary words. Really!]

Snap!

Troll snapped his fingers and withdrew the mana from the golems.

The golems, which had been fighting Paulen and Godrick’s party, all stopped moving at once and collapsed in a heap.

And then.

—Really. Your foul mouth hasn’t changed at all, Nellin.

Troll, instead of speaking through telepathy, called out his old friend’s na directly.
