The guard behind him let out an impatient sneer:
"What are you still looking at? If you're reluctant, why not go down and accompany her?"
Ah Luo didn't answer, his eyes devoid of any emotion as he looked toward the guard.
Accompany her?
These two words, like a cold stone, were cast into his already frozen heart lake, failing to stir any ripples, leaving only a cold echo.
Indeed.
I should walk with Ah Rou.
In this filthy, twisted world, the Land of Sin that devours the innocent, what is left to cherish?
The thought of liberation quietly erged from within his heart.
Death is no longer the end of fear, but the only way to end this endless pain.
Perhaps the other shore ntioned by the priest might be a place for he and Ah Rou to reunite.
It was at this mont that he leaped, resolutely plunging into the mouth of the boiling Hell.
As the feeling of weightlessness struck, scorching gusts wrapped in a nauseatingly sweet and tallic sll rushed upon him, Ah Luo's hollow eyes reflecting the boiling magma that drew closer below.
It seed as though he could see countless twisted and tornted faces shouting in the flas.
There were blacksmiths, prisoners screaming next door, countless naless poor souls... including Ah Rou.
Next, his shell, completely emptied by despair, would ld into it.
The pain from burning awakened the last bit of sothing deep in his consciousness, no longer love or hope, but a repressed, overwhelming fury.
Unjust rules, hypocritical godhood, the City Lord's tyrannical rule, cruel and callous accomplices... and this very world of deceit and oppression.
No longer burdened by doubts, his repressed rage erupted like a volcano.
Though fierce, he knew his insignificance and powerlessness, unable to change anything.
Yet the helplessness begot a fiercer anger, urging him to seek relief in destruction:
"So be it... let it all... turn into Ash."
The wind howled past his ears, the breath of death filling his mouth and nose.
Pain devoured his body, anger tornted his mind.
As life neared its end, Ah Luo suddenly felt ti freeze.
He felt his body and mind trembling, black as ink seeped into his vision, flooding his mind.
In a daze, he suddenly heard the sound of a heartbeat.
This sound was not his; it was like the roar of an Ancient Giant Beast rolling over the crust.
His consciousness then plunged into Chaos.
In an instant, a black Tower suddenly pierced his mind.
The tower's tip stabbed into the Blood Sea-like sky, the tower's body wrapped in swirling black mist, every brick etched with cursing Spiritual Patterns.
Then a Blood-colored Waning Moon rose from behind the Tower, hanging high in the sky, casting endless red light.
Beneath the blood moon, atop the Tower's platform, he saw a being beyond comprehension.
It had no definite shape, only two dark red eyes burning with Fiery Flas crossing the Space barrier, looking at him through the outline of gathering black mist.
More accurately, it wasn't looking, but crushing.
The gaze alone made him feel a stabbing pain on the level of his consciousness.
The eyes in the black mist grew brighter, like two dark red suns burning in the Black Night.
Under the gaze of these eyes, Ah Luo felt as tiny as dust.
With just a touch of the gaze, his remaining consciousness trembled uncontrollably, as if faced with the most vicious beast between Heaven and Earth.
The ultimate malevolent aura crashed into his Spiritual Sea like an invisible tsunami.
At this mont, an evil, raspy voice sounded in his ears:
"Tiny creature, I've heard your despair, hatred, longing."
As it spoke, atop the Tower, the evil outline like a Demon God suddenly brightened.
The fla in its eyes turned into a mirror, clearly reflecting all the darkest monts in Ah Luo's mory.
Ah Rou's hopeless eyes, the priest's evilness, the guard's brutality, countless twisted faces in the magma... and the rage that kept rising in his heart.
"You want the Strength to burn the world to ash, destroy all things, I can give you, but after fulfilling your goal, your body, your soul, all traces of your existence... will belong to ."
"So, do you... agree?"
The Demon God's blurred face revealed a hideous smile.
This voice's inquiry sounded to Ah Luo like the final salvation a God showed to a drowning person... even if it was a Demon God.
At this mont, Ah Luo's consciousness was already filled with extre pain and anger.
All expectations and struggles in his heart had long turned to dust the mont Ah Rou died.
His mind was left only with the vengeance fla to burn everything.
Under the gaze of those Abyssal eyes, Ah Luo's remaining consciousness gathered the most frantic desire, like a dying person's final leap, toward the Abyss that potentially offered endless doom:
"I agree, I agree, take everything of mine, give Strength!"
"Burn everything down!"
Ah Luo howled, repeating "agree."
"Deal, enjoy your next ga... Demon Seed."
The Demon God's figure above the Tower platform nodded slightly, seeming very satisfied with his answer.
The transaction, concluded.
An enormous evil eye erged behind the Demon God, the Fiery Flas in the dark red eye surged as if to ignite his Consciousness Space.
The ultimate malevolent power ignored Space barriers, piercing Ah Luo's consciousness, burning into the deepest part of his Sea of Consciousness.
The Black Tide's transformation began at this mont.
Ah Luo's body was shrouded in the black mist from the Space Tear, his skin rapidly carbonized and peeled away, black flas replaced blood flowing through him, new black skin covering his entire body.
