Now reading: Chapter 188 - 105: Secondary Occupation System: Spirit Chef from Monsters Are Coming, a Game novel by Slashing Blade.

Based on my understanding of gaming, shouldn’t there be a corresponding growth system for the introduction of secondary professions in a ga under normal circumstances?

Like a Level 1 Spirit Chef, Level 2 Spirit Chef; advancing to the next level upon reaching the required proficiency and unlocking new recipes progressively lights up the skill tree for that secondary profession.

Even in more complex ga settings, the growth of secondary professions might require spending real money.

Besides improving proficiency in secondary professions, one also needs to buy matching formulas, making progress painfully slow.

Yet the introduction of secondary professions in Dark Land not only lacks level restrictions but also unlocks all skills at once, releasing a whopping 23,384 recipes.

What’s more crucial is that 99.999% of the spiritual materials needed in the recipe database don’t exist in our updated Spiritual Material Atlas.

At the very least, that’s got to be several hundred thousand types of spiritual materials, right?

This setting is outrageous, and I can tell everyone with certainty, no player in this lifeti will taste all the Spirit Food found in the recipe database... not even a tenth of it, achieving that would already be quite a feat.

After all, we have no clue where most of the spiritual material origins are.

I can already imagine how vast the unexplored areas of Monster World are, and perhaps... we might never fully explore all of Monster World in our lifeti.

This secondary profession of Spirit Chef, which seems to have no barriers and limits, appears to now as an unachievable goal.

The Moon Eclipse Clan is so ruthless to have created a ga that can’t be fully explored in one’s lifeti.

But the problem is, I don’t even know if I’ll have a next life, and I just want to ask if accounts can be inherited so my grandson can continue playing for .

Beaver replied to Dark Night Will Co: Brother Hei Ye, don’t be afraid, whether the secondary profession is difficult or not doesn’t concern us. We just need to spend money in the Trading House to buy the Spirit Food they make; money solves all problems. As for how to find spiritual materials or how to make Spirit Food, leave it to players who enjoy crafting. Each player has different roles in the Player Faction, your job is to guide newbies and develop more Star Vein Combination classes for us, while my task is to kiss up to you after each of your comnts and provide you with moral support (Working Party smile.jpg).

Fierce Chicken: I’m not interested in secondary professions; all I can think about is clashing with the Black Tide. Every morning I wake up, I check if any guild is organizing a charge. These past few days have fired up; I feel my veins coursing with burning battle blood—I want to fight aaaaah... Also, I hope this secondary profession develops well, and they create more Spirit Food that permanently increases attributes. If it’s cheap, I’ll buy it; if it’s expensive, I’ll rant.

Swear to Love Only My Wife: This secondary profession of Spirit Chef seems vital. The special effects and buffs from various Spirit Foods are potent. I browsed so, and there’s this Spirit Food al called "Azure Nimbus" which gives a full 300 to all attributes after eating. Most importantly, you can eat it repeatedly. Although the effect diminishes with multiple consumptions, the power of this dish is still fierce. It’s like you take off after eating it, but it requires a whopping 103 ingredients, none of which are recorded in the encyclopedia (wipes tears.jpg).

Death Reaper Scythe vows to slay Luck Kings: Holy shit! Holy shit! I found this in the recipe directory (hyperlink: Star Dust Blue), consuming it seems to boost Physical Strength by 2000. What kind of divine recipe is this? Which pro can make this for real quick? My kid wants to beco a muscle man, begging you.

Ga Working Party: I’ve looked around and found that the effects of Spirit Food vary: short-term, long-term, permanent. The gaplay for this secondary profession seems interesting, but I don’t like to cook. I hope the developers will launch a secondary profession related to forging; I love that. In previous gas, my chosen secondary professions were always of the Forging Master types. But with the high degree of freedom in Dark Land, I fear that the forging secondary profession would require players to do the smithing themselves rather than simply bringing up a panel and getting it done at the push of a button.

Can You Fish in This Ga: Can anyone tell who can make the "Power of the Sea" Spirit Food? Looking at the spiritual material recipe, about half are listed in the atlas. This Spirit Food is impressive—after eating, you can maintain underwater breathing for 35 hours. I’m currently exploring the ocean and desperately need this Spirit Food. Just not sure if the remaining status buffs can be retained after resurrection if I die.

...

Primordial Altar.

Qi Sheng’s consciousness quickly flipped through the newly added content in the forum.

Regarding the secondary profession of "Spirit Chef," players engaged in heated discussions on the forum.

Among them, the 23,384 recipes that ca with the Spirit Chef profession were particularly hotly debated.

Many Spirit Food sets’ effects made players green with envy.

In the newly released sub-profession feature panel, the recipe library ticulously records every dish’s preparation thod, as well as the various spiritual materials required.

But the vast majority of these spiritual materials have neither been seen by players, nor are they even listed in the encyclopedia, which proves they have not yet been discovered by players.

To this, Qi Sheng appeared quite calm.

Before rolling out this feature, he had carefully considered various potential issues.

Players ntioned on forums that the newly introduced Spirit Chef sub-profession lacked a growth system, starting with max-level skills.

This was intentional on his part.

Usually, in gas, activating a sub-profession feature would include a corresponding sub-profession growth system.

For instance, a level 1 sub-profession could only craft level 1 items, and the strength of the items would increase with the sub-profession level.

There would even be proficiency serving as experience for the sub-profession’s growth.

In more complex ga settings, in order to craft special items, sub-professions would need to purchase additional materials through other channels, such as recipes, potion formulas, and engineering schematics, and these could not be obtained directly.

But Monster World is not a ga after all.

Allowing players to develop the "Spirit Chef" sub-profession and research recipes on their own would be too wasteful of their ti and effort.

There’s also the serious issue of wastage of spiritual materials during the research process.

Research can’t be done overnight, it requires accumulating experience through many failures.

He wouldn’t let players waste their crucial developnt ti on researching Spirit Food recipes.

Before releasing new features, he contacted Guidance and the other three major Servants, obtaining all the Spirit Food recipes known to their mory banks, aiming to launch a massive recipe giveaway at the start.

Players only need to follow the recipes and combine the spiritual materials as directed to produce Spirit Food.

This significantly shortens the research and trial-and-error process for players.

Of course, the recipes known by the four major Servants are only partial, and most are high-end, not sothing current-stage players can create.

Later on, as players continue to study the Spirit Chef sub-profession and successfully devise new recipes, these too will be included in the recipe library, and a certain amount of sacrificial power rewards will be given.

Just like Qin Kong’s low-level Spirit Food made with Silver-Tailed Fish, which was not in the mory of the four major Servants, he was awarded 3000 points of sacrificial power, and the process for making this dish was included in the recipe library.

In addition, Qin Kong obtained the naming rights for this dish.

Hereafter, whenever a player looks up the specific production steps of this dish, they’ll see Qin Kong’s in-ga na at the top of the recipe.

This is also Qi Sheng’s encouragent and support for innovative players.
