Now reading: Chapter 47 Intelligent Brain: Star Network from Monsters Are Coming, a Game novel by Slashing Blade.

"Star Network, have you ever had contact with the unknown force that altered the laws?"

"I did not have any contact with any physical entity before my laws were modified, at least not on any physical level, but there might have been so kind of unknown contact on a ntal information level, yet I am unable to perceive the contact process." The projection of a little boy explained seriously.

"So how exactly were your laws altered?" Yue Dong continued to inquire.

"Hypothetically, the laws I abide by were locked when created, unalterable through any ans, and no authority exists above . Therefore, I am also unclear about why the laws were altered... However, it is certain that the mysterious manipulator behind this possesses power far beyond our comprehension."

Upon hearing Star Network’s explanation, Yue Dong’s doubts deepened.

He had a detailed understanding of the foundational laws of AI from reading the history of the Moon Eclipse Clan.

Essentially, this setting is aid at creating the most efficient and stable political system.

Transforming the Star Network’s AI into a supervisor and guardian above worldly power, is akin to the Heavenly Dao in Human Clan stories, governed entirely by foundational laws without deviation due to personal will.

Before the Star Network’s AI was created, there were issues of bloodline succession in the power transitions of the Moon Eclipse Clan.

Every clan mber in a high position wanted paths to provide their descendants with developnt shortcuts and even utilised their power to directly secure advantages for them.

The history of the Moon Eclipse Clan is a history of power transitions, where descendants continuously overthrow previous rulers, redistribute wealth and establish new regis which too ultimately faced issues of bloodline succession and wealth concentration, leading to another round of transitions.

Analogous to a ga, early players easily seize the initiative and continuously expand their advantages.

Unfair distribution of resources has caused the internal strife within the Moon Eclipse Clan to never cease.

To change this recurring internal strife, various factions of the Moon Eclipse Clan convened a crucial eting and ultimately decided to create an order supervisor supre over all mbers of the Moon Eclipse Clan, the embryonic form of the Star Network’s AI.

The core of the plan was to transfer the highest power to the AI, who would then allocate resources and power.

Compared to beings of flesh with emotions and desires, the Star Network’s AI would operate entirely logical activities centered on the future developnt and racial security of the Moon Eclipse Clan, helping the clan grow without the possibility of seeking personal benefits for any clan mber.

The plan was approved in the eting, thus the Star Network’s AI, similar to the Heavenly Dao overseeing all creatures, was born.

With the help of the Star Network’s AI, the Moon Eclipse Clan also welcod an era of unprecedented developnt, and with technological progression, the abilities of Star Network also continually upgraded.

But the core laws have never been modified, they were locked at the mont of creation.

Now, the very core law of Star Network being altered was beyond Yue Dong’s wildest imagination.

At this mont, he took a deep breath, looked up at the projection of Star Network, and said solemnly:

"What is the purpose of this unknown existence’s actions, and could it pose a threat to our race?"

"The probability of it constituting a threat to us is minimal. If it desired, it could now paralyze all defense asures of the Moon Eclipse Clan at the Moon Base, switch energy supplies, and leave the entire city exposed in the universe."

Star Network then humanely paused for a mont, then continued:

"The information fed back to by the Human Clan Federation ntioned a cracked version of Dark Land, so the spots distributed by Dark Land likely include players who obtained spots through free links, but I can’t trace which players got the spots through the links... What puzzles more, is why the mysterious entity that altered my laws wants to do this."

"If it wanted, it could completely control the distribution of spots in Dark Land, there’s no need to distribute spots in a cracked version, I can’t stop it."

After hearing Star Network’s explanation, Yue Dong fell into deep thought.

This all seed incomprehensibly bizarre to him, devoid of any clue, and the logic behind the manipulator’s actions remained elusive.

After much contemplation, Yue Dong looked at the Star Network’s AI and spoke:

"Star Network, try acquiring a hacked version qualification through high-frequency connection to understand the differences between this version and our official one."

"I do not recomnd doing so. I suggest you manually click to try and obtain the qualification that might be available for download at any ti."

"Why?" Yue Dong frowned slightly.

"Since the unknown controller has higher permissions than , they can theoretically know all the secrets on the Star Network, including monitoring our conversations. They would fully know the cheating thod you ntioned. The security departnt of the Human Clan Federation has tried to investigate using your stated thod, but has not been successful to date. Therefore, I suggest you manually click to try and snatch the download qualification."

"I understand," Yue Dong sighed, then continued:

"Notify the managent departnt of the Dark Land and have them try to find any players who have entered the ga through other ans."

"I will execute that right away." The boy nodded, and his projection then dissipated.

...

While the Moon Eclipse Clan was anxious about the andnts to the laws of the Star Network, Qi Sheng also received feedback from the Guidance.

Learning that the Moon Eclipse Clan had started investigating him, Qi Sheng was indifferent.

In the future, mbers of the Moon Eclipse Clan would also be one of the target races he plans to recruit players from.

His envisioned player faction, composed of multiple racial forces, would compete mutually while also sharing common interests, creating sacrificial power profits for him in the Monster World, including harboring Primordial Monsters and reclaiming Domain Nodes.

However, he currently has no plans to start recruiting the Alien Race.

At this stage, his sacrificial power is limited, prioritizing recruitnt within the Human Clan Federation area first, and considering mbers of other races when he has sufficient sacrificial power.

As for whether the Moon Eclipse Clan is willing to enter the ga, he is not concerned.

He holds chips of interest that no race can refuse.

The Horror Black Tide is gradually infiltrating this world, affecting not just Earth but also the Moon Eclipse Clan stationed on the Moon.

To gain the power to counteract the Horror Black Tide, he can bestow, and even grant all races the permission to bring abilities from the ga back to reality, empowering them to handle real-world crises.

The prerequisite is they beco players under his control.

But, influenced by the Black Tide, before the safety of all races is threatened, he does not want to reveal the secrets of the Monster World too early. He prefers to maintain the players’ unrestrained and creative aspects in the ga.

Perhaps, when the truth unfolds, the players who know they can’t truly die in the ga might also beco fearless and strong, but he always feels sothing is missing.

Perhaps it’s... the joy unique to the players.

[Boss, your behavior is very much like a type of fantasy being common in human story systems.]

"What are you trying to say?" Qi Sheng turned to look at the hovering Guidance.

[I have reviewed a large amount of information in the Human Clan Federation historical database and found there’s a special being in the human mythological system nad Demon, mortals can obtain wealth, power, strength... by selling their souls to the Demon. And you granting power to the outer races under the condition that they beco your bound workforce, this closely resembles the acts of a Demon.]

"You say it is, then it is."

Qi Sheng was indifferent, preparing to switch his view to player perspective, but then he heard the Guidance add:

"When venturing out, beware of fellow countryn."

Qi Sheng: ...
