The Demon Hunter smiled silently.
Amidst the storm, he could hear countless sounds. From the soaring battle cries of the Hundred Schools’ Righteous Army to the rigid commands of the Demon Army, he heard it all. This information converged in his mind, allowing Su Zhou to perceive every movent without needing to see.
"Brace for impact!"
His ears perked up and Su Zhou turned, his gaze piercing through the dark clouds and storm to see the approaching danger. He shouted to the Martial Artists behind him, "We’re preparing to land!"
The next instant, a colossal wooden spear launched from behind the Celestial Gate. Like a sharp spike soaring skyward to tear a hole through the clouds, it hurtled through the gale toward Su Zhou’s True Qi Airship!
On the True Qi Airship’s exterior, a massive gale-wind sigil flared to life. Though the shield—originally ant to block the strong winds at high altitudes—shattered on impact with the wooden spear, it deflected the weapon’s trajectory just enough for it to graze past the airship. An instant later, on Su Zhou’s command, the massive True Qi Airship banked into a dangerous arc and plumted downward like a great teorite!
Imdiately after, the other eleven True Qi Airships, having just dropped their fire bombs, followed Su Zhou’s lead. Carrying a thousand Martial Artists, they all banked and descended in unison!
But before the airship even landed, a figure had already leaped straight from a height of several hundred ters. Spreading his arms with a great laugh, Su Zhou dove from the very top of the True Qi Airship. A cyan-purple Gale Shield flared to life around him. The power of Wind Aid activated, and far from slowing his descent, it massively accelerated his fall!
He fell with the rain, but faster than the raindrops, swifter than the gale!
Su Zhou’s target could be seen below: a massive Banyan Giant. The creature had just hurled a wooden spear and was now searching the ground for another suitable tree to continue its bombardnt. But suddenly, alarm bells shrieked in its heart, a heart grown stiff and woody from its assimilation with the great trees.
The Giant looked up, stunned to see a tiny human figure plumting toward it. The man’s hand was at his waist, resting on the hilt of a Divine Blade that crackled with fire and lightning.
Su Zhou t the Banyan Giant’s shocked gaze. He felt the gale-force currents raging around him, his hand gripping the Divine Blade—the Immortal Slayer, which could Call Thunder and Fire. He looked at the familiar, colossal, yet ’weak’ figure before him and flashed a truly savage smile.
"Demon General—"
Ti seed to freeze, leaving only the flash of a blade like thunderous fla, there and gone in an instant.
BOOM! Sheathing his Divine Blade, Su Zhou slamd into the earth with the sound of the ground giving way. Even with the power of Wind Aid, he still smashed a half-ter-deep crater into the muddy ground!
Behind him, a searing, golden-red line appeared across the massive Banyan Giant’s body. The next mont, the line exploded. With a piercing shriek, the Banyan Giant went up in flas, becoming a living torch!
Monts later, a colossal True Qi Airship landed amidst the gale, crushing the Banyan Giant’s burning corpse to dust beneath its hull!
"Hurry up."
Su Zhou threw his head back and laughed. With one hand, he snatched up a dark green Evil Soul and swallowed it in a single gulp—and the Evil-Devouring Demon Lord urged on the Martial Artists pouring from the True Qi Airship behind him, "Our target is the Celestial Palace in the clouds! We’re going to kill that Dog Emperor!"
"The Divine Blade is thirsty for the Demon Emperor’s blood!"
