There were additional rewards for ranking up, a 1000 points boost in health, mana, and stamina, a nice welcoming bonus, but the biggest boost was the whopping 5000 points in divine energy, and I can't say no to that.
The key to being a great goddess was always mastering the use of divine energy.
A great god could do so much with 1000 divine energy, while a bad one needs ten tis that to achieve the sa results.
however? I'm far from being great and bad; I'm sowhere in the middle, but I'm very persistent, I learn fast, and having a good pool of divine energy to throw around is always welcod.
"Congratulations, Mother," Eir was the first to recover from the surprise of my rank-up.
"Aww~ thank you, my dear," I mumbled, patting her head with a proud smile.
"Congratulations, Morgana," Lora chid in once the flas died down. "It's amazing, isn't it. The rush, the new feeling that makes your entire soul dance. Tell , are you excited?"
"Well..." I spoke, looking at the newly ranked up iron loli goddess before , "That's definitely exciting, and congratulations to you too."
"So what now?" Katerina interjected as I stepped down from the platform.
"I need to go back to my world," I spoke, surprising the three of them, "just for a few minutes. Eir accompanying Lora, make sure nothing happened to her, understood."
"Yes, mother."
With a swift motion, I placed a hand on Lora's shoulder and transferred 1000 faith points to her.
"I know you used all of your faith points to rank up," I gave her a little pinch on her soft, divine cheeks. "Go shopping or sothing. Spend these points the way you want and hurry up before I return."
"Is this your new tactic to get into my pants?" Lora snorted with an answering chuckle before giving my hand a gentle bite.
"Hmmm… maybe?" I chuckled back before opening my system and teleporting back to my temple.
The mont I stepped into my domain, I imdiately teleported myself into the Nightmare Tower to the unfinished eleventh floor.
The entire floor was a massive frozen wasteland, with howling winds and heavy snowfall that would shred mortals to aty chunks if they dared set foot here. Lilis did an amazing job with this floor, and the little succubus deserves a spicy reward.
However, I wasn't in the mood.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
The scream ripped out of my throat like a beast unchained. It wasn't a cry—it was a shattering, a warhorn, a promise of annihilation. The snowstorm around warped and twisted, the winds howling back in terror as the sound of my rage tore the frozen wasteland apart.
"I HATE HER! I HATE THAT FEATHERED WHORE!"
My claws erupted, black and crimson, tearing chunks of ice and stone from the ground as if the entire floor were paper in my grip. The storm raged harder, answering my fury, but even it wasn't enough.
[Morgana, calm down!!] Herma tried to put so sense into , but I ignored her.
I didn't care.
Every mory of Uriel. Every scream of Lilith. Every betrayal, every humiliation—they all clawed inside my skull until I couldn't breathe. My vision blurred red. My chest felt like it would split open from the sheer weight of rage and hatred boiling inside .
"HOW DARE SHE! HOW DARE SHE TOUCH WHAT'S MINE!?"
BOOM!
I stomped once—and the world cracked. The glaciers shattered into rivers of blood-ice, splintering outward in a web of destruction. My vampire wings unfurled, monstrous and divine, blotting out what little sky the Nightmare Tower allowed.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Blood magic surged, my divine energy twisting with it until the floor scread beneath . Towers of frozen earth crumbled. The blizzard itself caught fire—flas of black and crimson devouring snowflakes midair. Mountains collapsed in the distance, avalanches roaring like dying gods.
[MORGANA!!!....STOP!!.... The 11th Floor is collapsing.]
"LET IT COLLAPSE!" I howled, ripping my claw through the storm. "LET IT ALL BURN! I'LL TEAR THIS WHOLE DAMN WORLD DOWN IF IT ANS HER NECK IS IN MY HANDS!"
Herma went silent. Even she feared .
I tore through everything—snow, stone, sky—until there was nothing left but dust and silence. The once-frozen wasteland was reduced to ruins, a flat void where even the concept of winter was erased. My body shook, arms bloody and broken, but there was still too much hatred inside. Still too much pain. Still too much of everything that I never felt before.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Another scream. Another shudder, another broken cry.
And then… silence.
Sothing cracked inside. Sothing fragile. Sothing I don't like.
Thud!
My knees hit the ground.
"I… I…" My voice broke, shaking hands trembling against the frozen stone. "Victoria… Lilith… I'm… I'm so fucking tired…"
Tears.
Hot, burning, endless. They poured down my cheeks, sizzling when they hit the frozen ground, steam rising like the world itself wept with . I hadn't cried in millennia. Not when I watched kingdoms burn. Not when I slit the throats of gods. Not even when I had to kill a…
But now? Now the dam broke.
"I can't… I can't keep doing this…" My claws dug into the ground, carving trenches in the frostbitten stone. "You were always by my side… I only had you two, and now… now I just want to lie down… and never get back up."
Try to live more than twenty thousand years as a mortal and tell you wouldn't feel drained. Not just in the body—though my body had carried scars that no divine energy could ever erase—but in the soul. In the mind. In the places where ti carved grooves so deep they could never be filled again.
Not even gods could understand this exhaustion.
"I'm so tired…" The words tumbled out, weak and broken, nothing like the queenly voice I had just hours ago. "I'm so fucking tired of fighting. Of building, of ruling, of pretending like I still care. All I wanted was… was them. My family. My world. Lilith, Victoria… why the fuck did you leave here alone!?"
"..."
No one to hear my screams. No one to answer my questions. No one to understand. The Nightmare Tower was silent. Dead silent. The kind of silence that wasn't peace, but the choking weight after a slaughter.
I curled my claws into my palms until black blood ran down. The hot streaks of tears still burned my face, steaming as they fell on the ruined ground.
[Morgana…] Herma's voice ca again, but this ti softer, almost… pleading. [Please… breathe. You'll destroy yourself if you keep going.]
"I am already destroyed…" I whispered, voice cracked and hollow. My words vanished into the empty world, no echo to return them. "Uriel stole Lilith... again! Fate stole Victoria... again! And ?"
"I've been stealing from myself—lying, pretending to be a slut, whoring myself out in a desperate attempt to drown the emptiness, the feeling of uselessness, and failure, until there's nothing left, yet no matter how far I sunk... how many holes I stuffed... they never went away."
"You see, Herma, I am damned. The mont I tried to get rid of my bloodline, I received a backlash from the First Night Mother." I sucked in a rasping breath and clenched my claws until they cracked bone. "It was a built-in curse for daring to reject our heritage."
[What kind of curse did the Night Mother lay on you?]
"A simple one... it twisted fate around so I would receive the thing I fear the most, loneliness." I snickered with a wry laugh.
[But you don't have the bloodline anymore] Herma retorted [and more importantly, you're not alone, did you forget about your children, lovers, and friends?]
"..."
My breath stopped. A surge of embarrassnt hit at the realization. Herma was right, I did have other people. Not just Victoria and Lilith, but countless others.
My daughters. My lovers. My friends. My followers.
Yet here I am whining like I lost everything? What kind of person, or GODDESS is that?!
A very sad, lonely, and idiotic one.
"You're right, Herma..." I realized my mistake, letting out a sigh, "I have things to figh—"
I didn't have the chance to finish my phrase before a loud voice rang inside my mind.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? MORGI!!! STOP ACTING LIKE A BROKEN BITCH.... YOU BITCH!!"
"This voice... Lilith?" The shock imdiately took over at the sound of that familiar voice.
"Lilith, is that you?" I asked with trembling fingers, feeling my heartbeat accelerating like mad, shaking to the core of my existence, "Are you ok?"
"..."
However, I received no reply, and I realized that what I heard was one of Lilith's recordings.
"Morgi, I swear, if you don't get your shit together, I will drag my broken ass back into existence and knock so sense into you!!" The recording kept going, forcing a wry smile from .
"OH, wait! There is a better alternative!! No more sex for you! No! Nothing! NYAHAHAHAHA!"
