She said to , and I nodded at her in agreent only because I did not want to break her heart and make her start crying again.
But heck no. I am not going to go back to the moon with her. I don’t want to gain immortality or live forever.
Though it was funny. Haven’t I said sothing like relocating to the moon if dragons existed?
What am I still doing here? Ha!
"By the way, since you are aware of the demons like I am, do you by chance know the demon King? He knows you. He was even the one who told that your na was Athena".
"What?". The moon goddess looked at in disbelief. Her lips parted and she muttered, "That na. I have even forgotten. How did such a demon know it?".
She asked , but how would I know the answer to her question?
I am not the one who has lived for many years like her, or black shadow, who must have lived for millions of years.
But judging by her reaction, she had no clue who black shadow was.
"I have a very bad feeling, Mom. It’s as if the demon king has his eyes fixed on you in the shadows longer than I can imagine". I said, then continued, "Until I know what is actually going on, and why he had his eyes fixed on you, I want you to remain on the moon and not return here. I feel like he can’t reach you there".
"But-".
"No buts, mom. Listen to . My hunch is always strong, and most tis correct. You have to do like I have said and remain low. Don’t worry, if I ever need your help, I will make sure to call you". I said to her, but boy, she was very stubborn. Even more stubborn than I was.
She kept on trying to persuade that she ought to stay by my side to protect if sothing as dangerous as the demon king was out there. But how could she stay by my side?
Did she forget that she was the moon goddess?
If she stuck to my side, what would people think of it? Of course, everyone knew that I was her chosen child, but would it be proper if she stayed by my side? Or did she want everyone to know that I was not just her chosen child but her actual child in flesh and blood?
But in the end, I was able to persuade her to return to the moon rather than stick to my side. Though in the anti, we both had a conversation about our lives.
We also bonded so more with each other.
I told her about my parents. About how they didn’t believe when I claid that I was Clara, their daughter.
She comforted , advising to let everything be until after everything was over.
And I admit, her thoughts aligned with mine.
I would return to et them after everything was completely over, because by eting them again after I had not taken care of the storm in my way, black shadow would know how much I cared about them and would attempt to hurt them, thus using them against .
"But Clara, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to let everyone know that you are my real child". The moon goddess suddenly said to , catching off guard.
"Nice try, mom". I said to her, and seeing her pout her lips, I could not help but chuckle. Having a peaceful conversation with her had made feel relieved even after learning about the storm that was coming my way.
Black shadow’s pov,
"Who- what are you?". The werewolf staggered backwards and fell on the ground after I appeared to him.
That didn’t end there. He began to drag himself on the ground, away from , but he never stopped staring at .
I have learned everything I needed to know about him.
He was a thirty years old werewolf, Jerry, who was also a live-in son-in-law who had been mistreated ever since he married into Grandor’s family, one of the wealthiest werewolf families in Diamond Heart City.
He caught his wife’s attention at the age of twenty three, and even though she was not his fated mate, she forcefully got married to him because of her rich family background.
Jerry was a poor werewolf. He couldn’t refuse the marriage because he didn’t have the power to, and because they threatened to harm his grandma, who was his only family.
So, ever since then, he has remained in Grandor’s family as a live-in son-in-law, and has been mistreated for years and still counting.
He almost even committed suicide about a few minutes ago. But there was no way I would ever let such a great opportunity for revenge pass by.
I wanted his wolf, and I was willing to offer him sothing else in return for it.
"Jerry. Do you have a wish? Just tell about it, and I will fulfill your wish for you and satisfy your greatest heart’s desires. Just tell . And a single wish is yours". I declared, before dark fire appeared on my hand.
It was the malevolent crushing fire.
