Beta Damien ca and stood beside . I placed my leg above the other and looked at the werewolves inside the grand hall.
’There are quite a lot of werewolves here’. I thought. Though I knew that the werewolves in the grand hall were my fellow Alphas and high-ranking wolves, who were representing their various packs, since not all their pack’s mbers could co to the social event.
In the midst of staring at the crowd who had not stopped looking at with disbelief, I saw Alpha Dylan. He was as handso as ever. His alluring deep blue eyes and his nicely gelled white hair fitted the white suit he wore.
’He and Gamma Clark must be of the sa age’. I imagined.
’Pfft. You dummy. Hahaha!’. Elektra laughed at and I frowned.
’What is so funny?’.
’You are so funny, Clara. I thought you said you knew a lot about werewolves? Did you forget that we werewolves don’t age fast? When we get to our twenties, we begin to age slowly. Who told you that Gamma Clark is the sa age as Alpha Dylan? He took over the position of Gamma when he was twenty-five years old, and that was ten years ago. While Alpha Dylan, he beca an Alpha when he was twenty-three years old. And that happened three years ago’.
’What? Then how old is Beta Damien? Do you know, Elektra?’.
’Who doesn’t? He has been my father’s Beta Wolf for as long as I can rember. He’s turning forty-five years old this year’.
Oh my gosh. This is freaking insane. I shouldn’t dare guess their age again. If Beta Damien, who looks young, is turning forty-five years old, then what about Valerie? She’s not a middle-aged lady. She should be over seventy years old!
Moving my attention back to Alpha Dylan, I saw that he was holding a glass of wine in his hand, and standing beside him, I saw a young innocent-looking lady. She had blonde hair and was wearing a long yellow dress that was adorned with sparkling eralds, which matched the colour of her eyes.
’She must be his lover. I have heard of her before. But I am seeing her face for the first ti today’. I turned my face away from Alpha Dylan after thinking to myself. He must be surprised that I turned my face away from him even though he was staring at .
Because I wanted to look respectable in the eyes of the werewolves, I stood up from my throne and welcod them, saying with a smile on my face, "Welco, my esteed guests, to the shadows’ pack. As the Alpha of the shadows’ pack, I welco you all!".
I was behaving respectfully because I didn’t take Damien’s words for granted.
I must form a new ally today, but in order for to do that, I must show them that I am no longer the childish and brainless Anastasia they think I am.
Among the crowd of werewolves, soone stepped out and said to , "How co you are an Alpha, Luna Anastasia? Aren’t you supposed to be Luna? I thought that only the strongest wolf could have an opportunity of becoming an Alpha? Do you even have a wolf? Everyone knows you are wolf-less. You have not awakened your wolf yet, so I want to know how you qualified and beca the shadows’ pack Alpha?".
’You said you have been to this kind of social event countless tis, right, Elektra? Do you know this person?’.
’He is Alpha Mike. The Alpha of the night pack’.
"What do you an by that, Alpha Mike? Who told you I was wolf-less? If you were able to hear that I was wolf-less, how co you haven’t heard that I have awakened my wolf? She is Elektra, and she is very strong. Additionally, I beca the Alpha fair and square". I said.
They gasped, and I grinned.
Yeah, it was the truth after all. I beca the Alpha fair and square because I killed the rogue werewolves’ leader, who assisted in murdering the late Alpha and his Luna.
After awakening Elektra, I noticed that in terms of strength and five-senses power, I was naturally weak. But why is that so?
I knew that the wolves were stronger than their humans, but there was nothing like their humans being so weak.
Why am I different? Why am I inferior to the other werewolves? Is it because I was not a werewolf from the start?
If it was the real Anastasia in this body, would she be strong like Elektra and the other werewolves?
I think so. I think I am the problem. I am weak because I was a human from birth.
I will beco stronger. But I must be patient. I will have Beta Damien begin training after this social event is over.
"But that doesn’t-".
I raised my hand in the air and cut off Alpha Mike who was talking.
The social event is a good opportunity to form an alliance with the other werewolf packs. And since I am currently a mber of the shadows’ pack, I must save it, because now that I am staying in the shadows’ pack, I can not risk witnessing werewolves’ war.
I have an idea. Behaving respectfully will not work. If I must form an alliance, I must do it the smart way, because if I stoop so low acting like a chilled person, they would think I am desperate, and that might end up backfiring instead of being helpful.
"I have a proposition to make, everyone. I know you must have heard so negative news concerning , making it hard for you to believe that soone like could beco an Alpha. Well, I have changed. I am proposing a competition between and my fellow Alphas. Since a social event is ant for entertainnt, how about we take it a little bit further? If any one of the ten Alphas wins, I lose. For the penalty, I will grant ten reasonable deals to the ten Alphas". My eyes darkened as I added, "But if I win against the ten Alphas altogether, the ten Alphas will grant one deal each to . Do you dare to take on this challenge, Alphas? Or are you afraid of a female Alpha?".
I knew that among the ten Alphas, three of them were an ally to the shadows’ pack. But if I leave three of them out of the competition, others might surely beco suspicious.
’Alpha Anastasia! Is this a joke?! Are you out of your mind’. Beta Damien mind - linked . He was pissed off.
I looked around and saw the twelve elders and Gamma Clark. Their faces said it all. They were pissed off too.
I wasn’t bothered, neither did I care, because I knew exactly what I was doing. They must think I am crazy, because I said that if any one of the Alphas won, I would lose. That ans, I was boldly implying that it’s ten Alphas vs one Alpha battle.
Seeing the greedy look on the Alphas’ faces, I tried not to smile. I’m certain they will fall into my trap thanks to their greed. Unknown to them, it was a trap. A non-suspicious looking trap in a field that I am an expert in.
